Hello and welcome to JennReacts. I am Jenn and getting on in years! My main journey online has been via Twitch and doing gaming streams solo and with my husband, Jon. I don't game as much lately and spend more time these days checking out music and podcasts. I fancied doing some reactions during my journey, so here we are! I hope you enjoy your time here. Feel free to drop me a comment with suggestions for reactions! See you soon :)
Thank you for the reaction!! Erik has so many great songs you can look in to! I vote for God’s gonna cut you down. I saw that someone else recommended Chris Kläfford, he is really good also!
weird comment. I do prefer Nightwish but did like this. Not sure what else you are meaning. My opinion is my opinion. Not sure what the unsubscribe bit of your comment means unless you meant you unsubscribed from me, then fair enough. But what did I say that was in bad taste?
Great reaction as always. After Forever did a wonderful cover of Iron Maiden’s The Evil That Men Do with a very young Floor. She showed her star quality even then.
Floor s first real band and she joined as a backing singer at the age of 16 , but soon she become leadsinger . Greetings from NW army ... Sweden . Floor Fan
Thank you ❤ Great band, great voice ❣️🤘 Bas is the singing guitarist, Sander the growling one. Joost van der Broek on the keys. Now producer, works also often with Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon). Luuk on the base. Andre on the drums. This is prog metal. They used many different styles in their last album. It's a summary of all their albums before. More mainstream and a straight heavy rock song is Equally destructive. The most poppy one is Energise me. Both on Floors RU-vid channel as official video.
When they disbanded After Forever, Floor went on to form Revamp. Mark Jansen (no relation) Rhythm guitar who left in 2002, went onto to form Epica with Simone Simons. Simone and Floor are BFFs. Simone had the same singing coach as Floor for quite a while. Another great rabbit hole with Epica. Try Epica - Sancta Terra (feat Floor Jansen) Live Retrospect show when you get a chance. Simone and Floor singing together is just beautiful If you want to hear deep growls check out Floor and Revamp singing Disdain Live at Graspop (2010) Floor does the growls 😂😂😂
Back again with a couple Halloween suggestions. Tommy did a cover of This is Halloween from the Nightmare Before Christmas. He was joined by family members, a Majestica band mate, and a friend (who is also a reactor). It's a mini production and it is really good! He also posted a short saying he'll be dropping another Halloween cover, I believe this Friday.
Hi Jenn! I think Tommy has shown the utmost respect for his Queen covers, I really appreciate that from him and glad you seem to think so as well. This ending always makes me teary, when his dedication to Queen Elizabeth comes up with her picture. I'm an American but I have always felt something deep for her. Wonderful reaction, thank you!
Sabaton fan for about 20 years now here... always wonderful to see people discover this HUGE rabbithole and decide to dig deeper... there are TONS of awesome songs I could suggest for you to react to, but I'll stick with some of my few personal favourites, that are often overlooked.. these would be "Heart of Iron", "Price of a Mile", "Wehrmacht" "Cliffs of Gallipoli" and from the newest album "The Valley of Death" . Greetings from Germany and thank you for another great reaction!
Thank you for reacting to this. I can understand your reaction, I'm really not much for rap usually, at least not by itself, but in bands like Bloodywood, it works for me. I actually have a bigger resistance to harsh vocals, but Jayand's vocals won me over on that count. I would suggest Yaad as another to try by them. I think you'll like it. For me, I love their music, yes, but I really love them, their energy, the way they stand up for their principles and put them in action. This particular song didn't showcase that as much, but I love the fact they were asked to write this for a video game, it got rejected, and they basically sad "Screw that, we like it, let's make a video". Thanks again for giving them a shot, everyone's taste is a little different; for example, I love Tommy Johansson, but Dan Vasc really does nothing for me, no idea why. PS - I stick by my recommendation of Galneryus, the Japanese power metal band. :)
Galneryus is on my list and will be coming soon :) It's weird how music hits us differently but cool too. It means we get to enjoy such a wide range. I love Tommy but actually prefer Dan's vocals as he switches it so much but I am not as impressed with Dan as a person.
Jenn if you want to help struggeling artist out please do a reaction to a Independent band City of sound they need some help and there good. More People need to no aboud this band. CITY OF SOUND - US 😊 thanks ❤
Einar Selvik, the male vocalist of Wardruna, wrote this as a remembrance of the Norse tradition of "Singing" the departed over to the afterlife ("Hel", NOT the Christian hell, more like Christian Purgatory, I think) and honoring their lives......."Helvegen" = the road to Hel
When I saw Peter playing live in a video for the first time, I thought, why is he playing such a tiny guitar. Then I realized, that the guitar was normal, but Peter was really TALL :). Such a voice.
Peter Steele was the singer. He had a really good voice. R.I.P. He looks a bit like Lemmy Kilmister from Motörhead The "Rs" could have been because he came from Brooklyn 😂😂😂
Many recommended Kalandra. For Halloween the song Are You Ready by Kalandra would be cool. It is about a cult. A bit metal. Kalandra play soft and hard at the same time. Each of their songs is perfect. The music video is quite recent: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sRtI0fjwuj8.html
Imagine this is your last song you ever hear on this world before going to some other realm. And we are all walking towards it. Then it hits differently.
Hi Jenn , you would have to get to know Aurora better, what kind of person she is. She was talking about her hair. She cuts her own hair and doesn't care about fashion at all, or what anyone thinks, she buys things second hand. I don't know an artist of her rank who has no ego and is absolutely empathetic.
Great reaction, glad you enjoyed it! Two very creative artists who both has gained a large -and growing- amount of fans around the world. And they both are on highly successful world tours these days, both delivering stunning performances. Wardruna will release a live DVD from their show at Acropolis last autumn, and they have released a great taster with this ode to wolf : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rghWk_AvfE0.htmlsi=tr2nRXFwlJX2nHoj And from Aurora's latest stuff I highly recommend this live in studio performance, and you'll get an idea what she is about: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-s95nd960XsY.htmlsi=WoadP1b4dBpInnlh Greetings from Norway!
This song was in the series Vikings (without Aurora), and Wardruna had several other songs in that series. This performance was Aug 2018 and Aurora was 22. She is 28 now and has released 4 albums and 2 EPs and she writes all her music and lyrics, but sometimes with cowriters. A good place to start with Aurora is the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert when she was 19, with the songs "Runaway" and/or "Murder Song (5,4,3,2,1)". Runaway is her most famous song, and you might have heard it without knowing it, since it went viral in 2021 when it was 6 years old. And the Murder Song performance is a shock to many people, but in a good way.
Btw since you are in the UK, you might have heard Aurora many years ago in 2015: Aurora sang the Oasis song "Half The World Away" for the 2015 John Lewis Christmas commercial "Man On The Moon", and she also sang Half The World Away live at the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert.
