Interesting video, lots of potential for this channel! My nans side of the family come from Meare and Glastonbury. Thank you and look forward to some more videos! May I just suggest getting a mic so you could be heard better. Take care.
Yep, I agree, so much road noise there. The only option would've been overdubs or re-shooting. Still learning the editing software too. We shot on yhe beach the other day, and the hovercrafts were out. So flipping loud. Thanks for enjoying though 👍
This is known locally as The Devil's Church, on account of it being built the wrong way round. You can get into the crypt and there are bones down there. "According to old folklore a local family had been caught stealing lead from near by churches and as punishment they had to build a new church ,so they built it backwards out of spite, The architect who helped design and build the church cut his own hands of after completing the church The church had to be closed after people realised they would be worshiping the devil and not god"
Great video guys. Just started new job here in Stanton drew. I had my first pint in Druid Arms and found your video for a little history. Summer solstice soon so gonna cuddle some stones then.
Thanks David, there are plenty to cuddle! Lots of history around there and The Druids Arms do amazing gammon. Check out Adge Cutler and The Wurzels 'When the Common Market Comes to Stanton Drew' too!
I've donated my body to science and once they've done with my body, I'll be cremated. Don't really care about the ashes. I won't be needing anything where I'm going. ❤
A lot of architecture is based upon the divine feminine, a bit like the Cinquefoil of church archways where some theories suggest the form represents the Labia Majora and Minor. A hidden knowing nod to Pagan deities designed into the Christian places of worship.
