7-year-old whippet, Spitfire, and his youth handler, Sydney Mackey are setting records and taking names in the world of dock diving. They have competed amongst the best of the best across organizations such as NADD and DockDogs, have broken 21 world records, and won several world championship titles since they first started in the summer of 2016. They have been interviewed by local news stations (such as King5) and even had a segment done by E:60 from ESPN.
Sounder should have NEVER had a toy during the reward ceremony. The other dogs did not have toys. This was a very ignorant decision on Sounder's owner. It was not a spitfire issue at all. I hope the rules are updated for future competitions. The girl who was spitfire's handler was gracious to apologize. Good for you for being the better person even thought it was not your fault or spitfire. You handle spitfire with love and care. Sounder's handler needs to understand dog behavior 101 with toys. You handle your dog like a big bully too! I feel sorry for Sounder's life with you.
the dogs are the point. the coke-addled narrator obfuscates the point. lose him. the action is exciting enough without his irritating voice becoming a distracting sop to the lowest common denominator. this is not a car crushing derby., dude.
I’m another person interested in Spitfire’s legacy. As a dog owner of more than 55 years, I sense what has probably been going on. ..The natural progression…. Would you mind letting us know how things are now? It really does matter to the thousands of people that enjoyed your pup. What a special dog (and owner).

So, how many squirrels has Spitfire caught in your yard and/or snatched out of trees? One of our dogs caught an armadillo once but then didn't know what to do with it.
