If there are still some around or in the mothball still in good shape, maybe some fire departments also would repurpose it into a helitanker. Who knows? If a retired 747 passenger jet gets repurposed into an air tanker, why not this helicopter?

All joking aside, it really is an amazingly gorgeous flyer and I hope to see more of it! I love everything about it. I knew I wasn't the only one who has thought about one as an RV.. Yes, I know it would be expensive, but then if I could afford to have one, I'm sure I wouldn't be worrying about running expenses. Dreams. It's still beautiful!!

The best video of the 2 rotors overlapping I’ve seen. I had an argument with someone recently who said that the blades were at different heights so even if the linkage de-synchronised the blades could never hit each other. This is the perfect proof that they would.
I am a part owner, it was built by a guy in Lander. He flew it for over 10 years. We are currently inspecting from head to toe making sure it is airworthy. That was its first start in about 8 months. Once I get paper work all together and a few more squawks I will be ready to start flying it!
N461WY Im assuming that is an elected tail number.. Meaning the first civil 46, (i still have my doubts that it actually is... that tail number was probably given out around the year 2000.)
Love the 46 spent a lot of time on them as a Marine.. we used to spie rig off them it was a fun ride.. correct it isn’t the first civilian 46.. a outfit in New York was flying them as a shuttle in the city back in the 70s..
