Pros are impressive to watch but there’s no relatability for the average Joe like me. Watching your stuff is fun because of your personality, and maybe the fact that you’re not “Top 10 in the world good” makes it feel like once in a while I’ll be able to keep up with a play along video =P

As someone who’s lived in northern Ontario where lakes commonly freeze when you started going down the lighting route I was like, yeah sometimes they light up the skating paths on the frozen lake and then you were looking up festivals and I’m like, no, they can just be lit any old day of the week😅😅 lots of lakes are lit that don’t have any special events beyond maybe skating and ice fishing.
Why not just measure the length of the line? Score as (length of path / length of straight line). The overall mission judgment shouldn’t come down to a single deviation.
