Outstanding job. That motor right there will outlast any new engine any day of the week. You’re looking at 1,000,000 mile motor right there guys…❤❤

hey my friend. you can drop it in a jeep, or you can sell the entire engine. however, it would be really nice if you keep it. I'm sure that engine can be used for someone's jeep. but breaking it down for parts is not an option.

First turn of the key man. Powerful that this man did all the proper test prior to starting it up too. Respectful to the older engines like.

Great job. I enjoy your videos. Do yourself a favor. Get a set of brass drifts and a brass hammer. You will thank yourself on the end. Also stay away from cleaning parts with gasoline. We need you around to make more videos. Cheers

this has been in my recs for a few months and i havent clicked til now, since most of the time in videos like this, not very much is actually accomplished, and its clear that the only thing they care about is getting the engine to run for 10 seconds to get their views. but once you started actually doing the work and methodically going through the engine i settled in and had a blast. it was really interesting to watch you trouble shoot everything and follow along with your logic. showing how the starter worked was really cool. i learned a bunch too! im off to binge a ton more of your videos!! edit: also serious props for editing all of those scope videos in so seamlessly. it was so natural i didnt even realize how much effort it must have been to sync everything up so well until way later in the video. amazing work.

I started watching because I wanted to see what was in the box...intrigued. I then look how long the video was and thought about giving up but my curiosity was pushing me on and glad to have watched this come to life truly amazing, unbelievable how quiet it is without a muffler...great find and great video 👍👍 could you use it for powering a generator?
@Mee10792
@Mee10792 День назад
A rough conversion from lb to kg is to half the lb's and then take off 10%. So a 1,000 lbs would be 500 kg then deduct 10% of that, which is 50, so you finally get 450 kg. You will be within a kilo or two. I'm in the UK and I use use both metric and imperial.

Great effort & logic figuring out all obstacles for a great engine to run on the first crank. Job well done. I buy off equipment & vehicles just for the challenge to keep my mind sharp. I enjoyed the whole video emincencely!

I am a 73 year old motor mechanic who did my apprenticeship on Austin cars and trucks and frequently worked on and rebuilt these engines. It did not surprise me when it fired up on the first crank. These were such reliable and well engineered engines plus it would have been test run in the factory before shipping. You did a great job on your pre start up inspection, and as they used to say, if you have fuel, spark and compression, it must run. Great video, thanks for the memories.

I worked on many B series engines during my time in the British Military. These engines employed the concept of interoperability, where common parts are used across all the motors in the range, this includes pistons, rings, bearing shells, valves, valve gear, cards etc. Because these engines were waterproofed the electrics were ventilated. A 24 volt system was used to cover the loses due to having screened ignition leads. The ballast resister provides the coil with 24 v for starting but 12 volts for normal running. Really good video, thank you.
