I was stunned by how they really went all in with giving the A plot the uninterrupted time to do it justice. But in retrospect, I feel like the two plots are more connected than most people seem to realize. Yes, the A plot introduced us to this utterly twisted evil villain Elia Kane - someone who we didn't really have a proper name for until just before the betrayal. HOWEVER ... the B plot ... We don't really have a proper name for The Armorer. And even though Bo-Katan is not even looking to join this cult, The Armorer insists. And Bo-Katan reads the room and silently goes along with it (after she first tried to rules lawyer out of it). I think that The Armorer plans to trap and backstab Bo-Katan the way Kane planned to trap and backstab Dr. Pershing. There's just too many parallels, and the same Twilight Zone/Outer Limits vibe. What's the motive? I think that Kane's motive was revenge against Dr. Pershing for switching sides, out of fanatical loyalty to Moff Gideon. The Armorer? I think she's had it in for Bo-Katan ever since she switched sides on Darth Maul. The Maul loyalist helmet horns were always suspicious from the start. It's interesting ... in RU-vid comments, folks are like, "Wow, Bo-Katan has found a new group that accepts her!" ... but in Tumblr, there's folks who are like, "Umm ... as a former Jehovah's Witness, THIS IS A CULT. Get away, Bo!" Seriously, the whole "love bombing" thing is cult 101. The "you can leave any time" thing? IT'S A CULT! HOWEVER, I kinda feel like Bo-Katan isn't going to fall for it. She's been in a cult before. She managed to get out of it, and went through all sorts of hell getting over it. And like ... as soon as she saw The Armorer's Maul horn helmet, she's got to have been on high alert. I feel like she may try to stick around for a while though, because ... Din. Bo-Katan really cares about Din and Grogu at this point. It's like ... when she saw Din trapped in a cage, she rescued him. When she saw Din at the bottom of the lake, she rescued him. Well, Din's trapped in this cult ... he's figuratively at the bottom of this lake. Only this time, he doesn't know that he's drowning. This time, he doesn't know that he needs rescuing. But Bo-Katan can see it. And this is going to be a lot tougher than physically pulling him up. I feel like this is going to be Bo-Katan's character journey. If I'm right about where this is going, her redemption for her past is through saving just one person. Conversely, though, maybe Bo-Katan will not realize the level of threat she's in, or maybe she does but she accepts the risk anyway. But Din will then need to make a difficult choice in order to save Bo-Katan. I don't think it will be a one way thing. Even in this episode, Din saved Bo-Katan from an Imperial trap. She took the bait, filled with an uncontrollable need to get back at those imperial bombers. Din had to knock some sense into her.
Another great theory from you, Isaac! I really enjoyed reading this one. As far as Kane, it had been brought up in another conversation that she might still be loyal to Moff Gideon- thus explaining her last act at the end. Idk if she’s still covertly working for him, but it would explain a lot. AND, it would give us a pathway to seeing Gideon again this season (I really wanna see him 😄) As for the Armorer, woo, that is one theory I am not ready to believe yet 😭 It never occurred to me that her helmet resembles that of the Maul loyalists! And I guess at that point (were that true), we would need to know what the Armorer’s intentions are. Especially with Maul having long been off the throne and for sure dead. Regardless of Maul, I guess she could be at odds against Bo simply because they’re on opposing sides. And as for Bo, my hopes are still that she uses Mando’s people to help her reclaim Mandalore. Although for sure, I think she has to find a way out of it. I feel like there’s no point in her staying. Though for Mando, he might be fine staying. He’s been this way his entire life and lives by the creed. It’s kinda like the Amish. They know they can leave and there are other options. But if that’s the lifestyle you choose, well.. so be it. As long as they aren’t harming anybody 🤣 This can really go any way so I’m excited to see what next week brings.
I think this is Dr. Hemlock's lab, and he wants to capture Omega to use as leverage to get Nala Se to do what he wants. So there are a lot of possible directions they go with this. Most of them involve Crosshair being brainwashed into a "believer", and used to capture Omega in some way.
Ohhh, nice theory! It’s only been a week and I already forgot about the “capturing Omega” plotline 🤣 This is why I wish the show didn’t bounce around so much. But that would definitely make for a great way to have the two storylines intersect!
I won't spoil you to rumors I've heard about IG-11, but I'll just cryptically say that he might ... from a certain point of view ... become the titular "The Mandalorian". Sort of. As for the Mythosaur ... I think only Bo-Katan saw it, but I have a guess that she won't be telling anyone about it right away. Din's quest for bathing in the Living Waters isn't quite over yet. He said that he would return to the Armorer with proof that he had bathed in the Living Waters. Well ... he hasn't done that yet. It's the next step. But what proof? I don't think he's going to desecrate the shrine by ripping off the plaque, so I think his proof is Bo-Katan as an eye witness. So, he's returning to see the Armorer with Bo-Katan. According to my guess, Bo-Katan's too shook up to say anything coherent about the Mythosaur right away, and before she gets her head on straight Din asks her to return with him as his eye witness. So Bo's thinking to herself ... "I'd better not say anything about seeing the Mythosaur right now ... Din needs me to be a credible witness." THAT SAID ... what is the Mythosaur thinking? I suspect it's actually a baby Mythosaur, and it has been living in darkness so Bo-Katan is the first being it has seen. So, like a baby Rancor, it's thinking, "Okay, this is mommy." Bo-Katan is the baby Mythsaurs mommy now. And she has no idea.
Oh man I didn’t know there was more to this IG-11 thing! It’s been so long since I’ve gone thru any Star Wars leaks, so that’s a surprise! But good points all around. I do wonder if Bo will say anything about the Mythosaur bc it’s like, who’s gonna believe her. “You’re telling me you went to Mandalore AND saw the mythic beast? Yeah, right!” Lol. But she’s smart so whatever the case, I’m sure she will use this encounter strategically Also I’m sure Mando would appreciate her being a witness for him. That would solidify their partnership and I think they’d make a great team… Plus, I’m sure Bo’s baby Mythosaur would entertain Baby Grogu greatly 🤣
Oh, and the way Din got interrupted in the middle of the ritual ... I imagine something like this: Din: "Thank you. I have now bathed in the Living Waters." Bo: "Does that count? You didn't finish reciting the Creed. Is that okay?" Din: "It's okay. We basically never finish." Bo: "You never finish the ritual?" Din: "It is very rare. Very rare."
I’m really excited to see where they go with this one. I know it’s gonna be a slow burn before we get all the answers, but it’s definitely taken a fascinating turn
It's bad enough WW gets cancelled right before the final season. But at least we got Velma and Last of Us 🙄 right. When I first heard that I went a found the episodes online for archiving seems I was right to do so. Next ill hear Barry is going too 😑
I haven't seen the series yet or played the game. I like how you set it up the show. I probably won't get a chance to watch the series for awhile. I am amped for it though. Convergence is now a code word lol.
Lolll, new code word! But definitely, i'm sure you'll enjoy this once you finally get around to it. As you know, HBO puts out some really stellar stuff, so I had no doubts about them pulling this off. People who've played the game and even people who haven't pretty much agree this is awesome!
I think Wednesday would approve of the Thursday post. I also didn't see the twists except fr the Christia Ricci reveal. I had a feeling she was going to be an antagonist. The twists caught me by surprise too. I was unsure who the Hyde was until the end. Yeah the series did have some cheesy Disney cgi lol. That was the only draw back for me the cartoony cgi Hyde. I liked Luis Guzman as Gomez and Catherine Zeta Jones as Morticia. And Eme Myers stole the show for me. Hopefully the series gets renewed for a second season and they can go a bit deeper on the threads they set up and the secondary characters.
Just last month or so, they did confirm there would be a season 2!! Netflix is in bad shape but they would have lost some major points if they hadn't renewed that. But that's cool you caught onto Christina Ricci's character. I just wanted her to be the sweet character that Wednesday could count on 😭 loll. Anyway, yeah I think this show can only go up from here. I'm also looking forward to Jenna hosting SNL on the 11th. That should be exciting!
@@MiaJohnson thats great that Netflix renewed the series. I am hoping in Season they get Wednesday from the 60's show to cameo in a role. I figured that Christina Ricci's character would have that type of role. One theory about the season that I had that didn't pan out was Weems being her accomplice. I thought Weems was going to be out for Wednesday due to a grudge against Morticia.
@@historywithtedpayne5918 Ah, I wish the cameo were possible but the actress who played Wednesday in the 60s literally passed last month 😞😞 Was sad news! But yeah I couldn’t quite wrap my head around Weems. I like that they kind of kept her allegiance mysterious up til the very end. Lots of red herrings in this show! Haha
Chose Violence lol. Titania is the new Cersei lol. I liked the ep but was not amazed by it. I agree Banner didn't feel right as the person to serve as her superpowers instructor.
Hi I am late to the party but I liked the costume. I was exited to see the film. Leslie Grace is a good actress. I was bummed to see the film get shelved. I however am not surprised that Warner cut this film. There has been A LOT of shady stuff going on from cutting the cyborg stuff to the other projects you mentioned.

@@MiaJohnson yeah they are dropping a flash movie after all the legit craziness Ezra Miller has been doing. One thing I like about the mcu is the variety of movies and styles of the phases. The DCU is somehow doing too and too little at the same time.
Hey did you heard the recent news that Westworld as well as the Nevers and a bunch of reality trash that no one cares about from Discovery are going to be calling Tubi and Roku their new streaming home for the time being? Tubi legit is even promoting Westworld on their site before it actually arrives. Is this David Zaslav's new strategy to make money? Selling off the things on HBO Max to other streaming networks? Does that mean the cartoons he cancelled and pulled off HBO Max might end up on another streaming platform for the time being too? Can you imagine the hilarious irony if the WB and Cartoon Network cartoons as well as the Batgirl movie can finally be seen... on Disney+ Well they can enjoy their ratings boost that their competitor gave them. I mean unlike Westworld and The Nevers, that's streaming exclusive content that hasn't received a DVD release yet, so they can probably get a good licensing rates out of it.
Yes! I saw the Super Bowl commercial for Tubi and saw Westworld was featured in it. One part of me is like, I'm glad Westworld has a home. Though, the other part of me is like, imagine watching Westworld with commercials 😩 But yeah, it's kinda funny how these studios tried to centralize all their content under one umbrella (for each of their respective platforms). And after only a few years of that, I guess they're like "oops, never mind." I think the problem is just the massive amount of spending on original content, thinking that's gonna pull a wave of subscribers to eventually help offset those costs... But that's a completely separate conversation, haha
@@MiaJohnson Commercials are never a problem for me. If I'm watching on a computer and a commercial plays, I always have another tab or window open and just either watch something else or do something else on that other tab or window as the commercial plays in the background. The volume would either be off or extremely low too so it doesn't become distracting. If I'm watching tubi on my TV, then I just do something on my computer LOL as the commercials play. On normal TV shows that's the break time, but tubi commercials are pretty short, so I'll likely have to rewind if I don't want to miss anything. Yeah the streaming platforms spend too much money on the original content for the streaming wars and it's coming back to bite them. Though both Disney and Amazon went above that too as Disney bought Fox and they're spending a ridiculous amount of money on ESPN and the US sports teams. Are you aware Disney is spending 10.8 billion dollars a year on just licensing fees to the sports teams? That doesn't even include the actual cost to run ESPN and hire all that staff and TV crew to cover the sport games themselves. While not as pricey, but Amazon spent 8.5 billion dollars to buy MGM last year. I hope Amazon is planning to release some movies for theaters because Disney is learning that they should've done that to help recover money from their Fox debt as quickly as possible. I just hope some of those shows that were cancelled last year can find a new home because some of them looks pretty promising and many of them have a built in fanbase.
@@MiaJohnson Also while Warner Discovery itself, David Zaslav just truly didn't look like he knew what he was doing since he comes from Discovery and a reality trash background, so trying to manage scripted shows and movies clearly seems to be beyond what he was trained for with his only solution being using tax writes off and now selling it to other companies and platforms. Well either way I'm looking forward to the HBO content on tubi when it hits. I'll mostly be looking forward to Raised by Wolves and part 2 of the Nevers that never aired since it's confirmed both streaming platforms are getting them. One would think why Warner Discovery didn't try to sell their shows to a bigger platform, but I'm guessing it's combination of those platforms not offering them the money they want and likely wanting to lock those shows for a certain amount of time that WB don't agree with since I think they'll likely taking their shows back once their new-new streaming platform Max (seriously how much streaming platforms is this?) launches.
@@entertainmentfan1463 Wow, I didn't know Disney had been putting that much money into those sports fees! But lol, good on you for being a trooper about commercials. I try to tune them out, but then sometimes I get too distracted with whatever i'm looking at on my phone, and it's hard to loop me back into the show! And Zaslav, yeah to me it was always a bad decision from the get-go, given his Discovery experience. Don't get me wrong, I've been a big fan of the Discovery programming. The lifestyle channels are some of my favorite stuff on live television. But I don't think the strategy crosses over when you're working with one of the longest-standing movie studios of all time. At this rate, i'm really not sure what his vision for WB/"Max" is. Sounds very much like Bob Chapek where it's just this short-sighted, 'how can we make money *now*' approach. And one that lacks all form of creativity within the brand (tho, maybe I'll give him points for trying out the James Gunn stuff -- and hopefully keeping out of the DCU)
@@MiaJohnson Well one good news about Disney and the sports leagues is that it looks like they might be selling ESPN off since there's been articles of Disney's investors suggesting they do that for a while now. One hint it might be happening is because when Iger returned, he did a resorting out of Disney's department and ESPN is being treated like a separated entity from the rest of the company and that's usually a sign they're planning to sell it off so when it happens, they don't have to sort anything out and it's ready to be disbanded. Yeah Zaslav is winning the worst CEO of the year award at the moment. If he's operating from the Bob Chapek strategy, it's not going to be long before WB goes up on sale again. My main bet to buy them out would be NBCUniversal since I heard they were the ones who kept on teasing Disney about buying Fox so Disney ended up using the 70+ billion dollars for that company. Plus they're like the biggest company at the moment with the most spare income who would want to compete with Disney. Though something tells me Universal only wants WB and the cartoons, someone else can take Discovery and CNN. I doubt Universal cares for either. The only movie studio not trying to compete in the streaming wars is Sony and that's because they don't need no streaming network when they have playstation LOL.
@@MiaJohnson it’s oké everyone has the right to their opinions. But I find it naïeve thinking there. If Ezra Miller the child Groomer isn’t fired from the FlashPoint that alone will tell you this DCEU will be a joke to start with. The Authority is a dead series. Superman Legacy will be written in 4 months nothing good can come from this. Introducing the Bat family like the Shazam family lol. The creatives and writers are truly weak they don’t use any insights from anything. Also having that fast paced presentation tells you their desperate for our attention. And didn’t spend any time making a proper presentation for us. This worries me big time
@@starchild6646 Well, I guess I’ll just say I’m open to seeing what they do. It’s the first time DC is trying to pull something off like this, as far as bringing aboard a creative lead like James Gunn. So, I mean, I’m hoping it works. But if not, hey, fool me once!

Let’s see. I’m one of the few that was so over James Gunn’s little tropes really early on (basically, since the credits of GOTG2). BUT, it works! GOTG Holiday special and Peacemaker were so quality. And I couldn’t stand the gratuitous nature of what was in Peacemaker. It’s not my type of show, but it was easily one of the best shows of that year. Great quality. So, gotta let him cook. He’s going to go to far. That’s what he does. But it will be full of great creative choices, minus massively changing the essence of the characters for the sake of his jokes and story. But who better could they have chosen?
Yeah i think it's good that they brought someone over who has worked so much with Marvel and saw how this thing works. Say what you want about the MCU now, but once upon a time, they knew what they were doing. And James Gunn was there for a good amount of time to see how things were done. Question is, does he now have what it takes to be the boss and pull something off like that himself? I hope so 👀 Lmao
I don't think the teddy bear is disappointing, people set themselves up and the writers laughed in their faces. I'am begging you to try to watch Black Sails, it's absolutely amazing and underrated. Much love a from a fellow sister from France !
Bonjour! Yes, at the end of the day, I think the teddy bear was pretty clever and had some pretty big ramifications. And omg, I heard good things about Black Sails, so I’ll have to add that to my list. I appreciate the recommendation 🙌🏽
@@millhousesmelly290 That’s good to hear. I’m forgetting that there are a fair share of moments in S1 that… weren’t as exciting to me 😂 But I feel like S2 has def been an improvement. So glad to know that trend continues throughout
