Ultimately post millennialism is the logical conclusion to christians who love the world and believe they can secure their earthly paradise. The theology follows the desire. It justifies their desire to love the world and to be preoccupied with the comic book villianesque evils of the sociopolitical paradigm. Post Millinialism is like telling the unsaved before the Holy Spirit comes in and clenses the temple you must first clense the temple to make it worthy

I've been reading "A Case For Historic Premillennialism," which is pretty good, but a little high level for a popular audience. The dispensationalists seem to have the popular market cornered. But really, dispensationalists are primarily interested in 1) the escape promised by the pretrib rapture, and 2) some way of neutralizing the Old Testament so they don't have to think about it. When people think about the implications of dispensationalist views in terms of not-witnessing to Jews, that immediately tends to turn people off who know their New Testament and who are familiar with the content of Acts. When most people start to wrestle with the Biblical inconsistencies of the Dispensational view they slip out and rest in Amillennialism.

I'm leaning toward partial preterism amil, and think that Antichrist/Beast are past. For one thing, I can't see how eternal security and a literal mark could coincide. The idea that someone would be doomed to hell if they took a literal mark to keep their family from starving to death just sounds too cruel for God to do, especially when He promised to never leave us nor forsake us. That makes me think that the Mark is symbolic rather than literal. When I'd wondered if I was wrong about eternal security, in the brief period where I was more postrib premil, rather than dispensationalist premil, which I'd grown up with, but had come to distrust due to its inconsistencies, I got to fearing, what if, when really hungry, my flesh took over and I caved and took the Mark, would my salvation be in danger? And I even considered suicide as I watched the rise of Klaus Schwab and the World Economic Forum and feared it was the rise of the Beast. Thankfully, preterism and amil have taken away those fears.

At least some Amillennialists believe that the Christians who have died are ruling with Christ from Heaven. This takes place during the time between Christ’s First and Second Comings. They believe Satan is bound. Here is a major problem with that; If we just take a simple look at the world today it certainly does not appear that Satan is bound (so as not to deceive the nations) and Christ is ruling and reigning. If Satan is bound during the Church Age as per Amillennial doctrine, then why does scripture call him the god of this world? Also, if Satan was bound and Christ was reigning, do we really think we would have over a billion Muslims, who view Jesus as a prophet right below Mohamad, a billion Buddhists, who believe Jesus was an enlightened person, a billion Hindus, who believe Jesus studied yoga and became a guru to the Jews, a billion Catholics who are entrusting their souls to Mary at the hour of their death, nearly a billion atheists, the LGBTQ running rampant, TV shows and movies, that continually blaspheme God and His Christ, drinking, drugs, human trafficking, and colleges that have become propaganda mills that promote Godless, Big-bang theology and Darwinian Evolution, and a host of other sinful deeds that will be eliminated during the reign of Jesus Christ, our Holy God. This is a good example of eisegesis; reading pre-conceived ideas into the text, rather than simply reading what the text is clearly stating. Also, with Christ ruling from Heaven, why does 2nd Timothy 3:1-13 say, "But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God."

The wicked that the devil uses in his army seems to be the wicked who are resurrected after the 1000 years the same time Satan is released. It's the dead who lived not again until the 1000 years expired seemingly. They compass the beloved city where the LORD is and He judges them and casts them into Hell. At least that's what makes the most sense to me at this time.

This is the passage Doug speaks about where he contends the New Heavens & Earth are present. The final two verses speak to a completely different paradigm where wolf & lamb graze together and Lions eat straw. Personally I can see the age references as similar hyperbole to the age refs in the Rev.. If it weren't for "The youth will die at 100, and those who don't reach 100 will be thought accursed." Our 19yo son died in Christ (our hope) & this passage gives me general hope for sons & daughters living long lives. If this is the New Heavens & Earth, there also must be Marriage & Giving in marriage. For PM'ism to be correct, this entire passage has problems. I'm still fairly convinced the New H&E are the eternal state & Isaiah's prophecy is partially hyperbolic. Otherwise we're looking at creation changing if wolves and lambs will graze together. After watching this i-view (great job men,) I am more Opti-Millennial than ever, even as an amillennial dude. Doug Wilson is a thoughtful, cool guy. ”For behold, I am creating a new heavens and a new earth; And the former things will not be remembered or come upon the heart. “But be joyful and rejoice forever in what I create; For behold, I create Jerusalem for rejoicing And her people for joy. “I will also rejoice in Jerusalem and be joyful in My people; And there will no longer be heard in her The voice of weeping and the voice of crying. “No longer will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, Or an old man who does not fulfill his days; For the youth will die at the age of one hundred, And the one who does not reach the age of one hundred Will be thought accursed. “They will build houses and inhabit them; They will also plant vineyards and eat their fruit. “They will not build and another inhabit; They will not plant and another eat; For as the lifetime of a tree, so will be the days of My people, And My chosen ones will wear out the work of their hands. “They will not labor in vain, Or bear children for terror; For they are the seed of those blessed by Yahweh, And their offspring with them. And it will be that before they call, I will answer, and while they are still speaking, I will hear. The wolf and the lamb will graze together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox; and dust will be the serpent’s food. They will do no evil nor act corruptly in all My holy mountain,” says Yahweh.“ Isaiah‬ ‭65.17‬-‭25‬

Calvinism does not fit with God's character of love for all. God is not a respecter of persons, the scriptures say. Arbitrarily choosing some to be saved and damning the rest from eternity past also does not fit with the character of God, who wants all to be saved, again, according to scripture. It is unjust and God is just. Also, we very clearly have a choice in everything we do. To say we don't have free will is strongly ignoring our experience in life. We HAVE free will, both saved and unsaved.

Dispensationalism is exegetically, Biblically and theologically indefensible!! You CANNOT read the Bible and come up with that [stuff] unless you are just literalistic, with little understanding of various genres. Or you are just approaching Bible with your preferred and preconceived views. Jesus is the Isreal of God (Jn.15.1) as well as His Church (Gal.6.16).

What was Satan bound from deceiving the nations about in Chapter 20? The Book states (below) ONLY from gathering the nations for the final battle with Jesus Christ, before the right time, nothing else. The nations of Gog and Magog marched over the whole earth (not over one nation) surrounding the Saints of the "BELOVED CITY" (which is heavenly Jerusalem, the home of the Saints of the New Covenant). They aren't marching against the HOLY CITY of earthly Jerusalem (which was in one nation during the Old Covenant, and was destroyed in 70 AD). The thousand years end with Satan being loosed shortly before Christ's Second Coming. The fire Jesus brings with Him destroys all the wicked and there are none wicked left on earth; only the Saints of God remain. So the thousand years must be symbolic (like everything else in Revelation is symbolic) of the time between Jesus' first and second Comings. Revelation 20:7-9 ESV *_And when the thousand years are ended,_* Satan will be released from his prison [8] and *_will come out to deceive the nations_* … *_Gog and Magog,_* *_to gather them for battle;_* …. [9] *_And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city,_* but fire came down from heaven and consumed them, 2 Peter 3:10 ESV But *_the day of the Lord will come like a thief,_* and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and *_the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed._*

The Thomistic conception of God's dual wills is the best way to understand this concept, in my opinion. God has an antecedent will and a consequent will. God's antecedent will was in use before He ever even created the cosmos. It is unconditional, which means that whatever God actively wills _will_ come to pass. Nothing can thwart, nullify, or alter God's antecedent will. The creation of the world, the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ on the Cross, and the establishment of the Millennial Kingdom are merely three of the multitudinous amount of events that God's antecedent will brought to fruition. Essentially, His antecedent will can be thought of as His overarching divine plan. On the other hand, God's consequent will encompasses anything that He desires to see come to pass, but will not violate human free will in order to achieve it. This makes it conditional. For example, God wants to see all people repent and accept His Son as the Savior (2 Peter 3:9, cf. Luke 13:24), but He will _not_ override human free will by forcing them to do so. It is very important to remember that His consequent will never contradicts His antecedent will, and vice versa. They are in eternal harmony and are externally and internally consistent.

The narrator's “one in essence, three in person” is not in itself a contradiction if you affirm composition in the Godhead. But if you affirm composition in the Godhead, then you're also affirming a contradiction if you also affirm that God is metaphysically ultimate. For if there are three distinct persons in one essence, then you either have three gods (three instantiations of one essence as three humans instantiate the human essence) or you have three persons who serve as parts of the Godhead (a part being anything less than the whole, the absence of which would make the whole different than what it is). This makes God a composite of three persons. And since all composites depend on their parts for their actuation and conservation, God is then dependent on something less than what He is in order to be what He is. And since the parts are dependent on each other in order to form the whole, we have dependency in both the parts and the whole. This directly contradicts the affirmation that God is independent. And since this kind of god is dependent, we must look to something more basic and fundamental because all composites entail an explanation beyond themselves. Now, for any trinitarian who reads this, please understand that this objection against partialism or composition is a longstanding one by trinitarian theologians for centuries. These trinitarians affirm the doctrine of divine simplicity which resolutely denies physical and metaphysical composition in God. However, given their insistence that each person is really distinct from one another (in their relations), they cannot escape either composition or contradictions on other levels. On the other hand, the narrator endorses James White's version of the Trinity (that the what-ness of God is different from the who-ness of God). This is clearly compositional. For if the what is different from the who, then both are conjoined to form the whole. That makes the “what” less than God and the “who” less than God. One would obviously avoid ascribing divinity exclusively to the essence (what-ness) on pain of calling the “who” a creature. Composition thus renders God a creature because all composites are caused existences. Yes, the doctrine of the Trinity is inherently contradictory and is thus untrue.

You are so mistaken! You see that's the problem with the Trinity,it teaches you to add to the Word and afterwards reprove comes Paul preached nothing but Yeshua as LORD and he said it clearly that NOW the Lord is the Spirit, why did he say now? It's because the Lord became flesh John 1:14 in his incarnation but Yeshua now glorified one with the Father John 7:37-39 became a life giving Spirit 1cor 15:45-47 the same way he became flesh John 1:14 and as that very life giving Spirit he lives in us Colossians 1:27 and this is the mystery revealed at a proper time that God is one and there is one Mediator between God and men,the man Christ Jesus 1timothy 2:5 the very Spirit who INTERCEDES for us in Romans 8 not this lies preached by the main stream Yeshua as the Son of God means he is born of God and we know Yeshua said God is Spirit and Yeshua said also that which is born of flesh IS flesh and that which is born of Spirit is Spirit John 3:6,this means Yeshua as the Son of God is Spirit and as a Son of man is flesh as he became flesh and not only did he become flesh but also a life giving Spirit in his glorification one with the Father not to mention that also Yeshua said Words are Spirit and are life John 6:63 which will come to mean that Yeshua as Word is the Spirit and it is so What we get from this simple analogy is that Yeshua as a Son of God is the Word and Spirit of God the same way Eve as a woman is the bone and flesh of Adam! Adam and Eve is the picture to Father and Son Yeshua is the Last Adam and the church, the body, the bride is the last Eve and as Eve was decieved because he listened to another voice a serpent, the church is decieved and has fallen away because they did not listen to Yeshuas Words but that of another Now is the time to come out of falsehood to the truth

You will sit on the same throne of the Father judging the nation's. Rev. 3:21. This is the mystery. The Son of God is not one person just like the bride is not one person. The Christ (holy spirit) in you is the hope of glory. The anointed one is the holy spirit that is made flesh in you. Unfortunately most people haven't figured this out yet. John the Baptist prepared the way for the holy spirit not another prophet after him. Isaiah 40:3 in Hebrew. The gospel authors personified the spirit as a separate man. Just as proverbs personified Wisdom as a lady in proverbs 8,9.

I think the weakest part of Doug's view, which I agree with almost 100%, is his view on the new heavens and new earth. He struggles to take an analogy by Isaiah and makes it literal and so feels the need to adjust things to make sense of it. It still fails though because if we are in the new heavens and new earth then why do people die before 100 and we don't think they die young? No, the anaology Isaiah is making is saying "In the New Heavens and New Earth we are going to live so long that if someone were to die at 100 (not that they will die) we would think that they died at an incredibly young age." This is in a time whe people rarely lived past 40-50 years old so it would have been an exaggeration when someone lives twice as long as most people that they were actually young when they died. It is not meant to be taken literally, just like all the other clear analogies in that Isaiah passage. Make that one change and you have a simplier view like the rest of DW's views on this topic.

Premillennialism attempts to reinterpret plainer passages of scripture using more obscure ones (Rev 20 being the key one used by the premills), rather than the other way around. And the scriptures are plain. There is one general resurrection - all are resurrected at the second coming and world history ends. Premillennialists are obsessed with Israel and Judaism. They don't see how the New Testament fulfils the Old. They are stuck with earthly concepts that make no sense at all. For example, what happens to those outside the church during the millennium?!... It's all nonsense. Premillennialism has no concept of the glory of God.

This interview is brilliant. I'm praying for the Lord to put it out there more widely because I think so many people would benefit. And thank you interviewers for being so respectful and listening without interruption

Exegesis goes out the window. Amillennialists love to hear themselves speak. But it’s like they are telling some weird story of their own. Very sloppy interpretation of the Scriptures, and very subtle attempt to misguide the ignorant and immature believers. Lord please open the eyes of these people and let them see Your truth for all its worth!

As an Historic Premillennialist, I find that there is much I agree with from the Post-Millennialists, the Amillennialists, and the Progressive Dispensational Premillennialists. With the Posties, it's mostly just the time of Christ's return, that I disagree with. I do however agree that the Kingdom is here now, in it's seed form, and that it will continue to grow and advance. However, just as all Posties agree, there will be setbacks. And the largest of those setbacks will be the worst of all, i.e. the Great Tribulation. And for the briefest of times, it will seem like it was all for nothing, all the great work that was done, will seem to be undone, and all will seem los. But the CHRIST will return, and He will establish the Kingdom in its fullness, showing that it was He who all along, was the one building His Church, and establishing His Kingdom, not us. With the Amies, I think it's pretty clear, how we agree with most things, and I even go so far as to say, that yes, the Christ is reigning as King right now, in the Heavens, and so there is a sense in which you can say that the Millennial Kingdom exists right now. But there will be a time, when God's Kingdom comes, and His will is done, *_on Earth_* as it is in Heaven. And with the Pro-Dispies, I tend to agree with some of their Eschatology relating to Israel, but I definitely reject the non-Pro Disbies, pre-trib rapture, and some of the other particulars of Disby, and Pro-Dispy Eschatology. Overall, however, I feel all of the views have much more in common than many realize, and so we really ought to come together and learn from, and encourage, one another in love and unity.

What I never could understand is how can saten deceive the nations with Christ ruling

What was Satan bound from deceiving the nations about in Chapter 20? The Book states (below) ONLY from gathering the nations for the final battle with Jesus Christ, before the right time, nothing else. The nations of Gog and Magog marched over the whole earth (not over one nation of earth), surrounding the Saints of the "BELOVED CITY" (which is heavenly Jerusalem, the home of the Saints of the New Covenant). [9] *_And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city,_* but fire came down from heaven and consumed them,
