Just heard that the MSO cancelled Jayson Gillham's performance because of "comments" he made during a recital. The over 100 journalists killed by Israel he had supposedly mentioned is simply a verified FACT, not just politics. Pull you heads in, MSO!!!!

Don’t buy tickets if you don’t support genocide. They cancelled a musician for dedicating a piece to the dozens of journalists killed in Gaza (with the pre approval of the MSO). After pressure likely from their donors, they cancelled all future concerts from the pianist. This pianist’s name is Jayson Gillham. Bravo Jayson ❤️🩹✌🏼
45:54 I don't think the student gets the idea of the stance. When the sound needs depth, you do need a firm stance to impose the idea. Rather than just casually standing there and trying to play nice, You kinda need to desperatlly squeeze out every bit of the string by pushing or pulling the bow, so will make it sounds deep and sorrow.
Vasily Petrenko is certainly one of the best of the younger generation of conductors. I’m disappointed that I can’t get tickets for his sold out appearance at this year’s (2024) Proms @ RAH/London as he’s conducting the RPO in Tchaikovsky’s symphonic poem, Francesca de Rimini, one of my favourite works from the Russian master.
