From what I have seen, battery life is only better on the Snapdragon S24, not on the Exynos version. I'd love a tele lens, but I'm also a fan of the Pixel's photo look. Just more natural and consistent. Same with the software: Samsung's OneUI might be more powerful and tweakable, but I prefer the slick and simple Pixel software. Now I'm waiting for the Pixel 9 Pro to see how much it improves on battery life/efficiency/cooling and if it's worth the extra money it will cost. And I'll still watch out for the upcoming S25. Then I'll decide if it's time to upgrade from my current Pixel 6 Pro. One thing is certain: My next phone will be a more compact one! I can't stand the size of the Pixel 6 Pro...
I have the pixel 4a and the 7 and the 5 I wish I had the pixel 5a just to upgrade from my pixel 4a . I really didn't like the speaker from the 5 the 7 was great but I buy and sell phones so I sold it
Coming from an iphone 14. Ive had the s24 for 3 days now. I really like it tbh. Its lighter for sure. Must say it feels way better to have the number row on the keyboard. Android is badass. Still getting used to some things but I think im going to stick with the s24.
The only things that matter are power, battery life and biometrics. Put that and all pixels in the bin, don't waste your money. All the comments from supposedly iPhone users prove 2 things - Pixel fan boys and they have never owned an iPhone, especially those who say they have swapped an iPhone 15 pro or pro max to any pixel device. How can anyone with a straight face compare any "tensor," (cut price Samsung chip) to an A15 and higher? Camera hardware LMFAO Pixels use roughly the same hardware year on year, take a picture on a pixel and wait for the software to manipulate it LOL You can produce the same picture quality from a pixel 1. If you can't afford an iPhone then just say so or save for it. Stop making these pathetic videos to make yourself feel better for making the wrong choice.
This is coming from a Google pixal 7 pro owner if you like overheating phones camera that does not focus really bad reception then go for the 8 pro. After all they did add a thermometer...... Waiting to get my Galaxy s23 maybe I'll give the Google pixel 9 pro try or maybe I'll just wait till the 10 pro
I have been using an S20 FE for the past 3 years and its touch stopped working (after I took an underwater shot). Google is giving me a great deal they are giving me 140 pounds for the trade 200 pound discount on pixel 8, overall net price of 350 pounds. But I am confused about whether I should take this deal or just repair my oldie for 65 pounds.
I couldn't believe you were shooting a video from Hamilton. Loved that overlook shot of downtown and hwy 403. Is it a public lookout. I'm relatively new to the city, and would love to check it out if it is. Thanks for the great review.
thanks! I like the iPhone more because the camera and sound quality are more important to me than the screen refresh rate. Also, S24 comes with an exynos processor in most countries, which is very bad, so iPhone 15 looks better in terms of camera, performance and software quality.
I've just bought 256gb p8p for £ 471 (after trade in for p6p . I'll trade that in for prob £300 against the p10p in 2 yrs time. It's a good deal. I got £236 for my p6p on trade in which I thought was generous.
Baba you're good. No cap. Samsung made really good phones with the S24 lineup. Whether it's the base model or the Plus or the Ultra, you can't go wrong with any. The battery life on them is amazing, not to talk about other specs.
The selfie camera on the S24 is the best in its price range. Those other phones you are naming for selfies make dark skin people look even darker. 6:59
Im thinking about upgrading to this phone but im worried that if i buy it a few months later the s25 will come out if i buy this it will be my phone for the next 3 or 4 years
I just bought the S24 because I wanted to try something new and both my brother and son recommended Samsung. It arrives day after tomorrow. I have been using an iPhone 8 for the last six plus years and it's been great. We'll see how it goes.
Hey KJ. Great vid. The timing was perfect for me. I’ve been on iOS since iPhone 4S, currently have the 13 mini as primary n pixel 6a as secondary. However, Im switching to S24, (256gb, mostly bc of ufs 4.0 storage). Here’s my value proposition in favor of S24 (warning: this will we long winded for most. Also, I enjoy n use iOS n android, no hate. ). So, I purchased the S24 today on Amazon Prime Day for $659 (256gb, snapdragon version, unlocked, normally $859). That’s a great price with no trade in. Was there an iPhone 15 on prime day? No. Let’s compare the iPhone 15, 256gb version: $929, unlocked; no AOD, 60hz, usbc 2.0, last years processor, therefore no apple intelligence, etc. Apple is always too late to the game n I’ve grown tired of their lack of innovation n gouging. I’ll keep my 13 mini n check out ios 18, but I’m not shelling out over $900 for iPhone 16 (256gb). For those on apple who say those things don’t matter n I understand why u say that, look at it this way; apple is saving much money at ur expense. We can always be offered options n features that android has had for years, but they won’t. We can’t even have the option for a numbers row on the keyboard (not 3rd party). Almost done, lol. Let’s compare iPhone 15 Pro (probably more accurate comparison spec wise, idk); 256gb version is $1099. That’s $440 more than what I just paid for S24. Crazy. Sorry for the rant. Peace.
Just managed to get a 8a for just under£300 Uk with a double amazon deal from prime day & a student discount. Definetly more value for money. Honestly though I get the price nitpicking I dont really want to be spending that much on a phone vs the various things I can do with a computer for the same price for example especially with this trend of 1k phones. People have robbed chains worth less money alot of phones feel like wealth symbols more features higher price just never seems worth it when the point should be to make calls not to mention the quick deflate in value. No wonder people be just snatching phones out of unsuspecting peoples hands on motorbikes.
