Coming from an iphone 14. Ive had the s24 for 3 days now. I really like it tbh. Its lighter for sure. Must say it feels way better to have the number row on the keyboard. Android is badass. Still getting used to some things but I think im going to stick with the s24.
The problem you mentioned has a simple solution. Just turn on Raise to wake on your display settings on your iphone. Then you can glace at your screen whenever you pick up without even touching the display.
Both phones are great. I hope Apple comes up with 120hz and AOD on the baseline iPhone 16. I like the lock screen Waller you have on the iPhone 15. If I was to buy an iPhone 15 today and use it without a case, I'd go for a black colour.
@@CallMeKJOS you're welcome. Well I guess Apple still considers 120hz display and AOD to be pro features since they must find ways to upsell customers to the higher tier flagships. For those that haven't experienced 120hz, 60hz will be fine.
My issue with the base iPhone is how apple always tries to upsell you. Do you want an aod get the pro or pro max, want more storage? Get the pro or pro max. Want that third camera get the pro or pro max. It has become so bad that recommending an older iPhone (14 pro) is better than recommending the base iPhone 15 since it can be found for cheaper. What surprises me still is how they haven't limited faster charging speeds to the pro and pro max
To be honest, I'm an Android user and never used an iPhone...I always set my android phone to 60hz to save battery...I don't think 60hz is a problem for me... But, not everyone is like me, and i know for some people 120hz has become a must...I understand and need to respect this difference... At the same time, I also agreed that 60hz for such a high price is too expensive...at least Apple must give base model at least 90hz for high refresh rate fans...
Hey KJ. Great vid. The timing was perfect for me. I’ve been on iOS since iPhone 4S, currently have the 13 mini as primary n pixel 6a as secondary. However, Im switching to S24, (256gb, mostly bc of ufs 4.0 storage). Here’s my value proposition in favor of S24 (warning: this will we long winded for most. Also, I enjoy n use iOS n android, no hate. ). So, I purchased the S24 today on Amazon Prime Day for $659 (256gb, snapdragon version, unlocked, normally $859). That’s a great price with no trade in. Was there an iPhone 15 on prime day? No. Let’s compare the iPhone 15, 256gb version: $929, unlocked; no AOD, 60hz, usbc 2.0, last years processor, therefore no apple intelligence, etc. Apple is always too late to the game n I’ve grown tired of their lack of innovation n gouging. I’ll keep my 13 mini n check out ios 18, but I’m not shelling out over $900 for iPhone 16 (256gb). For those on apple who say those things don’t matter n I understand why u say that, look at it this way; apple is saving much money at ur expense. We can always be offered options n features that android has had for years, but they won’t. We can’t even have the option for a numbers row on the keyboard (not 3rd party). Almost done, lol. Let’s compare iPhone 15 Pro (probably more accurate comparison spec wise, idk); 256gb version is $1099. That’s $440 more than what I just paid for S24. Crazy. Sorry for the rant. Peace.
thanks! I like the iPhone more because the camera and sound quality are more important to me than the screen refresh rate. Also, S24 comes with an exynos processor in most countries, which is very bad, so iPhone 15 looks better in terms of camera, performance and software quality.
Great video KJ. For 2 phones that cost about the same. Immediately, the screen refresh rate, lack of always on display are what steer me towards the Samsung. I have both apple and Samsung phones in my collection. 15PM, iPhone 13, and 24 ultra and 24+and the P8Pro. Apple's eco system is better than Samsung's in terms of ease of connecting devices, but Samsung is getting there. Just a little more work involved in getting that level of inter device cohesion.
I wouldn't really agree that Apple ecosystem is better. If you want to get the best experience, try using Samsung devices together and you would get a great feel to how good it's gotten
I just bought the S24 because I wanted to try something new and both my brother and son recommended Samsung. It arrives day after tomorrow. I have been using an iPhone 8 for the last six plus years and it's been great. We'll see how it goes.
@@hadhi4017 It's pretty nice, I can't complain. It's much faster and smoother than what I had, but it took a bit of getting used to. IPhones are out of the box, ready to go with few options, which can be a good thing. I had to learn the new interface and customize it some before I became comfortable with it.
Looking for a phone to buy but unsure between one plus 12, google pixel 9 pro and honor 6 😢 any advice! Is Samsung 24 better than them(their best models)
Honestly, both phones are great. I prefer the Galaxy though because of the extra AI stuff. You mentioned the iPhone’s battery lasts longer and I don’t know if it’s peculiar to you but the Galaxy has been better in several reviews. Man, I love your intro. That was amazing. Please, how can I contact you. I’m still that your top Nigerian fan.
@@techzolute hey man! I think if the iPhone 15 had apple intelligence it would help it. Battery life on the 15 is great. No AOD. No high refresh rate. Hit me up on IG rn.
Amazing video! Love from Nigeria ❤ Which smartphone would you choose for an all-round need? Say, I want to shoot videos, take good pictures, and need productivity features like multitasking.
@@sklynexd I made the test, it depends a lot on the person's eyes, mi brother couldn't identify if a screen was >60hz, I've blinded test it (my brother showing me different phones, changing settings etc..) and I could differ everytime a 60, 90 and 120hz
@@CallMeKJOS it's checks all the full boxes as what makes a flagship phone of today's standard should have Faster charging 120hz Telephoto Reverse charging Ai Also carries other bells and whistles from its ultra siblings iPhone 15 on the other hand isn't that complete there's so much more the pro models have and when you notice it you cannot unnotice it . The 14 pro max is a more complete phone since both aren't supporting AI
@@joshuamemehemeka9177I have the S24 and iPhone 15P. S24 is a really nice device, with great display, great features, and great UI, and customization. However, the UI smoothness and app performance on iOS are far superior. So, I’ll take the better app performance and smooth UI over bells and whistles. “It just works” oh and that Google messaging app is garbage.
