Last it made 624hp to wheels and 558lbft of torque. I don’t think I want to make that much now as the engine is still all internally stock, will try to make 500-550 at less boost than before.
@@ersinylmaz4172 Yes it can, a few people are up in the 700-800hp range with them, I have a spare M54B30 i’m going to build and swap in at a later time and keep the car around 750-800hp on kill mode
@@mpi_jack what i meant is those 150$ projectors are actually 50$ aliexpress projectors. And i though id go higher quality then aliexpress. Oh but your build is spot on! So jelly!
I’m a fan I just bought a 2001 530i with the M package and want to do some mods I’m subscribing Sir I have questions about mods and do you take on projects if somebody wanted mods ?
hi Jack, are u venting your valve covers to catch can / atmosphere? i would like to do that too except i was told a vacuum needs to be pulled on valve covers to 'vent' properly... i personally think atmosphere is better as it seems bit more simple in terms of plumbing all the hoses etc.. if i were to just route hoses from my valve cover to like say, down somewhr under the car would that work/be adequate? my m54b30 is currently still stock pcv setup i was just contemplating what to do is all. thanks!!
The quality of your work is awesome. Really inspired me to not only turbo my e39 but also to keep it high quality. Question on your headlights though, where did you get the halos? Are you using aftermarket projectors or just the stock ones? Keep up the good work
Hello man i love that u back have seen this videos many times I have a bmw 530i 2001 Stock I am a mechanic i can do all the work of installing everything But i need some help from u Which are the best parts for this turbo project that i have I know some turbos like the garret gtx35 or Precision 7675 CEA BB But i dont know if there is any better turbos and turbo kits So anyways could u recommend us any parts that u know or think are good Or turbo kits i have a budget of 6000$ right now but i will add more if needed I just want to reach my dream hahaha like many here
It will cost you a lot more to make it live above 500hp. Below that is do able. A 3576 turbo for fast spool, or a g35900 would be a great choice for 500 or more. This car in the video uses a 62mm turbo compressor and turbine. If you want to make more a bigger turbine helps , say a precision 64/66. The bigger turbine helps with back pressure and top end.
Hello man im a fan of u and the car pls can u answer my question I have a bmw e39 530i 2001 and i want to turbo it to any good recommendations? And tips what i need to turbo it its my favorite car
Best recommendation I can give you is do plenty of research and consult with a shop or friends near you that may be capable of helping you out and have experience doing this type of work.
I think I ask this for all of us 530i users, what does something like this cost minimum? Yours is pretty decked out I'd say, but to start with what would it cost? Also, putting a turbo on this car is cheaper than a supercharger or is it more that a turbo gives more horsepower per dollar?
I honestly stopped counting many years ago… The supercharger route is the cheapest at $5k from what I remember about the VF Engineering kits which include tuning it picks up roughly 105hp. That’s a good bang for the buck for these engines. Luckily the E46 guys have bolt on and tuned turbo kits for close to $8k. This Syvecs ECU alone is $4050 plus the CAN module and it’s not plug and play. I think a very well versed DIY person can put together a turbo setup for their car for like $8k with quality parts.
Injectors, fuel pump, intercooler and pipes, turbo, turbo manifold , exhaust. Wastegate , blow off valve, air filter. A dyno tune or remote tune from your tuner of choice. On a E39 you need to move the abs box (I did) for top mount. I just replaced the fluid lines with longer ones and adaptors. I left the wires stock length and moved the box down behind the headlight a few inches. Prices could vary depending on where and what brands , along with assembly costs and extra brackets/maintenance bits and bobs.
i got it off ebay back in 2011....never seen it again...I can sell it to you...I since switched to a navi style radio and went with a digital dash... message me on IG MPI_Jack
How much boost do you think this block can take? I’ve seen n54 blocks ( open Deck aluminium) take 30 psi. Shouldn’t the m54b30 block as a closed deck be stronger????
a real beauty. I brought a 530 5 speed from LA to the midwest about 5 years ago. people cant drive and its been hit on 2 sides. Never planning on selling it so a long term project is the plan and this video gives some great inspiration.
Dude, what a nice clean build this is, and of all the things you mentioned that interests me was the way you painted your needles! I like white faced guages and wanted to paint mine since, as you know, they are white and would blend with the white guages. My question is, did you physically remove the needles, or did you just simply tape everything off? 🤔
Just picked up an 02 530! This is the nicest/coolest/cleanest one i've seen and is part of the reason i started looking into 530's over 540's bc they seem to be underappreciated in the overall market, and more potential from a power/dollar perspective. What standalone system did you use?
my bone stock B30 threw the oil pump nut with the stock 6500rpm rev limit lol. I drive it like I'm on the autobahn though, I've spent a lot of time at 155mph.
