Good to see you back out mate, I always love it when you get that short window of wonderful light. Loads of room in the big hilly, something I never seem to have is enough space 😂 tfs atb Dave ⛺️👍 PS that wind got up like 💨💨
7:40 If you're looking at the Eildon hills, it's pronounced Eeldon. However it is also referred to by it's Roman name "tri-montium" ( 3 hills). That tent isn't light, it's flappy, but it did a good job. Good effort, well done & thanks for posting.
Great to see you back out Steve! Been a long time coming I bet mate! Nice camp... tip of the Helmet... tape your zips 👍 thanks for sharing the experience
Hey Stephen great video. Good to see you out in nallo mine will be out again now I reacon. Not trying to be a know it all but having owned this tent a while, if you angle your guy lines more at 45 degrees to the poles it will pull the tent more end to end and crank up the tension on the middle of the tent and alleviate a lot of the flapping of the inner . Cheers mate 👍
Hey Gary, no problems at all my friend. Always looking to learn. Ill not be keeping this one as i didnt realise i couldn't fit two wide pads in. Shame as its a great tent.
Friend of mine said he will go camping in Dartmoor with me for couple of nights. He needs a tent and I suggest some decent budget options in the range of £100-200, with some good used ones on eBay. He replied with “I’m thinking of getting Eurohike Pop 200” I kid you not. We’ll be having a chat. Great video btw :)
Smashing video, Steven, really enjoyed watching it, great atmosphere. I can pinpoint exactly where you were because I’ve had my eye on the area as well. Thanks for giving me a preview! ATB, Graham
A lovely spot. I have walked that part a few times and your right that pull up through the woods is a right slot ain’t it. A nice edge up there to pitch on like you did and the tent held up well. It’s a nice walk further on over the cairn along the board walk to the chew green area. Hope to see this tent around more for the winter season. Atb Mark
Good to see you back out bud. Cracking spot too. Noticed the temps coming down quick on my last couple too, won’t be long till we get the full winter camps. Hope your all good, ATVB Robert
@@thegeordiewildcamper very much, we had minus 1 on this weeks camp so can’t be long now till it’s snow and ice. Yeah really good, very impressed with it. Really light and works well for additional footage that maybe would be too much of a hassle with the bigger drone
Nice one Stephen. Thats a nice route to do to windy gyle with an overnight camp on the way. Enjoyed the wilfred Gibson poem. Nice to see the injury is on the mend. 🎉
Getting the mileage in mate, good to see. Take it easy though as there's a fine line between recovery and a set back ☺️ Hillebergs in red btw, best colour for me. Nallo a great option aswell. Tunnel tents are up and down in no time.....just take the ol' ear plugs 🤣 Take it easy, Adge
Cheers Al, yeah ive given myself a little rest but got to keep the training up to strengthen. not sure multi days will be on the cards for a while but will get there eventually. Cheers for the support mate.
Nice spot that. Don’t think it’s been warm in the Cheviots at all this year but as long as you’re prepared it’s irrelevant as long as you enjoy the wilderness of the Cheviots 🏕️
Great stuff. 😊. Not seen many recent wildcamping vids lately. If anything I've been watching stuff from 7 or 8 years back? No idea why.. nostalgia maybe ? Anyway. Best wishes chap👏👍🏼
Good to see you out the Nallo man. Now you can probs see why i like it so much. Dont wana teach you to suck eggs but get them guy likes longer and more angled and to pull the nallo more taught and pitch the vestibule into the wind if you can 👌
Cheers Chris! It’s all good. Yeah I just couldn’t be arsed readjusting after I’d put them in. The vestibule into the wind always gets me. I know hilleberg say to do it but I want the front open 🤣 cheers for watching
I think the beauty of Northumberland is the solitude, I love to try and see where you are and I may have nailed this one, just a little puzzle I like to do, great video, keep them coming, stay strong, enjoyed the video a lot.
Love that mate. That’s the idea. I try not give the location away but leave bread crumbs of course. Yeah the solitude is perfect it’s for a real sense of history!
I’m getting there mate, taking its time. I know it’ll not be the same and struggling as can’t cover the ground like I used to. Hopefully in time mate. Thank you for asking 👍
@@thegeordiewildcamper to be fair I know what your saying .3 items you always take even though they may not actually be essential. For me that would be . Helinox ground chair Walking pole A beer 🍺
Good to see you back out at it mate especially with the weather we've had up here recently! hope the leg/injury is feeling stronger by the day, to battle the winter months 🤞
Good video! There’s next to no reviews on this. I’m deciding between this and a F10 Nexus UL2, but the porch almost has me decided. I only wish it looked a little warmer and more waterproof. Did you find the tent very cold relative to others? Have you had it out in hard rain?
Class this mate, I've only camped with my son or on a campsite in recent times and do fancy getting out on my own, specially in the lakes , got some good info and advice in this video , looked a great spot where you were too, could you tell where it was? Looks great for visit during day too if local to me(washington)
you'll do it and love it Stephen, it will only take you once and youll be hooked! I tend not to give locations but plenty breadcrumbs in the video if you want to find it.
yeah mate it is, the ultra version. Its going to get a good run out during winter so watch this space. Initial impressions will be out in the next few weeks
Excellent 👌🏻 nice to see this covered 😊I’ve talked about it in one of my videos, probs touch on it in most of them tbh! Only because i always get asked the same question…Dont ya get scared? Scared of what? Usually other people attacking you, they reply…I’ve stopped trying to help ease others worrying but it’s sad that a lot of people who know I wild camp alone will never do it because they themselves are scared. Loved this thank you 🙏🏻
@@thegeordiewildcamper Oh, I realize it's your shot. I was curious about the general location. I didn't know you had northern lights that vivid in the U.K.
