Hello and welcome to my channel. My name is Russ, a life long carpenter. I am one of those fortunate people who knew what i wanted to do when i grow up from a very early age and have followed through with my dreams. My passion is making beautiful things from wood and I also like to dabble in the dark art of metalworking and other skills from time to time. This channel is about pushing the boundaries of my craft while making innovative, unique and interesting projects, I hope the content i make will inspire others to follow their dreams, try new ideas and make interesting projects of their own. Russ.
I often watch this very talented gentlemen, but I really don't know exactly what he's doing in this video. But his craftsmanship and attention to detail in doing it is simply fascinating to watch!!
After being a die-hard GoPro fan and user for 10+ years I've just switched to the DJI Osmo Action 4. Highly recommended if you're looking for a small, light and feature-packed action camera. Native webcam support via USB-C (no battery required) so you could even stream the POV content for monitoring purposes or for viewers with nothing to do during 3 day prints. :) No extra software required to operate as webcam - as a Linux user this is a huge win over GoPro on its own. (Yes you *can* do webcam w/ GoPro but it's a total PITA).
Thank you for sharing such excellent detail of your process. And allow me to echo the joy expressed by others that you avoided slapping cheesy music into the video.
What an amazing build and I was surprised by how many were there already. I can’t help remembering my first and only record player. I was 5 and it was battery powered. 😂
AMAZING work! Looks so nice. Just wanted to comment and suggest that if you hadn’t already, you should seal the tile grout on the floor. We have the exact same ugly tiles that you tore up in our kitchen and the former owner didn’t seal the grout properly. It gets super dirty over time if you don’t seal it. Great work all around!
I'm sorry, bud your isolation at the end... if you put it in like that, it's the same as no isolation. And even no vapor barrier... good luck with that
I've mostly finished a smaller staircase in a property built in 1929. I'm truly impressed by the methods used in this video. I couldn't stand the scraping of old paint so opted to heat it up first to loosen it. Even sanding it after was a nightmare because not all of the wax would come up and it would dull discs in a matter of minutes. Absolutely stellar work here bud.
This really is one of the best channels on here now, CEE, Snowball & Kris Harbour are also great and I highly recommend them to you as examples of people that just do it.
The night after my husband passed away I fist ran across Ryan's RU-vid channel and he helped me get through those first impossible days and nights. Thank you for having him as a guest.
this is a first time a had to give you a tumbsa down. So much welding to burns anybody retina, seriously more than half of the video is retina dangerous, at least warn people before watching. And who wants to watch so much welding, I guess you didn't wear protective glasses while working to be fair to us, yes? otherwise wery versatile enjoyable videos and amazing skills, thank you for all the other work yu done and recorded.
I watch this channel to learn and sit in wonderment of your creations. I do not think you can claim any credit for using a CNC, no skill no precision only how to use a computer. Further I do not see the adb=vantage in self building IKEA boxes, You demean yourself. I learn nothing I neither desire or am able ot buy a computer driven cutting machine". I understand that you have to make a living but I do not really want to watch you cutting materials and stacking pie=ces you have much more to give. Cheers.
I took down a section of plaster moulding intact and after using peel away1 ( a fibrous covering pulls much of the paint off when removed, faster than slippery plastic), I then made silicone molds from the pristine piece. With 4 molds per profile I was able to crank out a lot of manageable sized parts. Just replaced sections that were too damaged. Removed 140 years of paint from a Victorian home, dental tools came in handy for some detail work.. Ceiling rondelles were 4 feet across. It was an expensive job but the client was extremely happy. Very nice work. Your attention to detail delivered great results.
