Wouldn't really call this a Motown version. This is very much a boogaloo/soul type of arrangement. And he also straight up says in the beginning "can you boogaloo?". It's very groovy and danceable. A very contemporary arrangement for the time.
Vic Damone is performing, Andy is enjoying himself and Bobby is comfortable, and having a hell of a good time. Always at ease with an audience. Confident without ego, Bobby was always such a pleasure to see and to hear. A treasure taken from us too soon. I think heaven was jealous!
All three were great. A different time, of course. It was a time when people dressed up to get on airplanes and weren't packed in like sardines, planes offered meals, car styles changed every year, wages were relatively higher, homes did not require two-and-a-half incomes, violent crime was lower, news reports included real news and did not seek to divide the country. In many ways, it was so much better - although in some ways, it was worse.
