Jesus is tree we true believers are branches. Too many plastic programmed church goers have religious info S their tree and they brainwashed church goers. I went to church and got head info but in my heart had no idea if Jesus truly was the Saviour. But in 1973 my high school period ..prayed to God Jesus Holy Spirit the Trinity Godhead …and asked if God of the Holy Bible was real & if so to show me…not on drugs or crazy but had an encounter big time. Supernatural encounter… Have been a sincere believer ever since. Knowing about God is much different than knowing God in a born again saved conversion personal fellowship relationship one to one way even to where ya feel His presence or anointing at times… But one must pray from heart & sincerely and God will draw close to anyone who first draws close to Him. He awaits an invite as He will not bully His way into our lives.
The bible says... There's the problem. Hitler says, Jim Jones says, Lenin says... Think for thy selves people. You are not religious zombies living in the Dark Ages. You're acting like children. Think children, THINK!
Peter in Mathew 14:26-31 showed he had the faith to walked on water briefly. (Supposedly) Jesus Christ said to Peter, "Oh thee of little faith..." My question to ALL you Christians of 'faith,' where is YOUR faith? Is it in a story you been told. (Empty faith) Or in a faith that can make one walk on water? SHOW HUMANITY YOUR FAITH or SHUT IT!
LOL i have read revelation and your taking it out of context. For example there are two lambs in revelation, one represents the antichrist who tries to take the place of Jesus Christ the lamb of the world as you say later. The focus of revelation is for God to 1 help people to acknowledge end time prophecy, 2 acknowledge Jesus Christ, and 3 acknowledge the devils devices and how hard and persistent the devil and his forces are to convincing you that there is no God and also helping other people to believe that God doesnt exist, not only to not believe He exists but become hostile towards true believers. That is the gist and point of the book of revelation.
This just shows how different religion is in America and Europe. In Europe, it is not a matter of faith. We are born into a religion. Most of us are agnistic with respect to personal belief. We do not see it as important. We do not read the Bible. We do not go to church or Sunday school. If we do go to church, say on Christmas day or for a funeral, it is due to family traditions, not because of belief in any particular god. In America anyone can put a cross on a house and say this is a church. In Europe a church is a public building, often hundreds of years old. In America anyone can be a preacher man. In Europe most priests have a 6 or 7 year university degree in theology. It is not like you can become a priest if you suddenly fee the need to preach. But the main difference is in Europe it has to do with family and state traditions and in America it has to do with personal faith. In Europe most atheists (now the majority of the population) are members of a church, simoly because that is how we were born. We do not change religion depending om faith. We are how we were born.
Nobody in their right mind who has tasted of the Holy Ghost would leave the true and living God. It is apparent you never really tasted the Holy Ghost and had an act chapter 2 experience
If indeed someone had "really tasted the Holy Ghost" they would obviously know that a god exists and wouldn't be an atheist. The problem is that no one has ever presented even a mustard seed's worth of empirical evidence to demonstrate that they have actually "tasted" the holy ghost as opposed to having vividly imagined that they "tasted" the holy ghost. The other problem is that your god supposedly wants everyone to be saved, but for some inexplicable reason has chosen to have the real taste and everyone who has woken up and become an atheist only an imaginary taste. So what do you want? perhaps we should all bow at the feet of the "special one". Fyi, you are not special and your intense feeling towards your god makes you no different than millions of Muslims and Hindus.
Surely the issue is all about 'Truth'. Is the gentleman being more honest with himself and other people than he would be if he clung to something he no longer believes in? It doesn't make him ultimately 'right' but there is still time and God Himself will applaud his efforts to maintain the truth of what he believes (no matter what that actually is at any given moment).
The "truth" is simple, there is insufficient evidence to justify a belief in any god or gods. If you are going to reply please don't bother regurgitating the same old tried apologetic trope that has been debunked countless times. I've read the ingredients and I'm not buying that snake oil.
Plus, I think that what you left behind was actually Pharisee faith, and not true Christianity. That was a good thing in that regard that you turned away. I did the same thing, but then I strayed too far to the left into disbelief.
I'm struck by how much you link bigotry with faith. I went through a 5 year agnostic period in my 40s before returning to faith, really for the first time. I think every true Christian has gone through what you are presently experiencing. You have to come to faith on your own. You can't go through the motions. You sound a little down while describing what you claim to be your ideal present state.
U can try to run from God but U will be still with Him for all eternity, except U never born from Spirit of God: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uWGd-9UPCys.html
U can try to run from Vishnu but U will be still with her for all eternity, except U never born from spirit of Vishnu. Not convinced? Now you understand how an atheist feels about your unevidenced asinine assertions.
Most if not every critique here can also be said about the progressive movement though, which is also a religion with major flaws, and I would say one of the most flawed out of any religion. But yeah of course you leave that out, the majority of any major group is usually not the wise gems...
Christians are human and have flaws, but we strive for perfection, and perfection is often directly opposed to peoples wanting of the endless easier paths of life.
He used scarecrows fear toxin to make superman think lois was doomsday and had the trigger for a nuke connected to a heartbeat monitor. Basically tricked superman into killing lois lane and blowing up metropolis.
His "comics were the counter culture" take is 100% bs. The CCA was in effect from 1955 ish until the 90's. Archie comics were the last comics to carry the CCA seal of approval. And at the end the CCA was literally just a granny in her basement. 80's and 90's was the bronze/modern age. Silver age was the height of the CCA. Damn I'd like a crack at this guy.
Love how his retirement has made another position available for, hopefully, a professor who more fully represents today's optimistic and inclusive society. Surely there other opportunities for Mr. Peterson to moan about the loss of white male dominance. And to fantasize about theocratic regimes which might have given those ideal males continued preference.
I’ve spent the last three years reading the Bible cover to cover. Was expecting to get closer to God and deepen my faith. Instead I was left horrified at what we’ve been spoon fed and how different it seems from what’s in the book. I’m on my own journey out of 40 years of evangelical indoctrination too. Thanks for this video. Super helpful.
Best way to deconvert from Christianity is to read the bible, the whole thing and if you leave your god-goggles off it's rather non-sensical and quite horrific.
I guess you can blame Sailor Moon (and Magical Girls as a whole) for me becoming a Witch. 😎👉 Christianity and whatever branching Abrahamic religions that came from it was never for me anyway, my true savior is Hekate anyway~ )O(
Deceiving spirits will take away even t chosen people to hell Bible says. Seeing with our own eyes, few getting down their path to hell. Jesus is the way truth and the life. Judgement day is there. Remember.
Not a single Christian so much has the faith to walk on water and you're quoting scripture. You Christians should turn to stone for doing so, yet you don't. Hmm.
I think it was Mark Twain who , when asked about death, asked the question " do you remember the millions of years before you were born? Did that inconvenience you?.. It didn't bother me at all" That's what being dead will be like
10:19 no it’s not a JOKE… the creator of the DBZ franchise are literally desensitizing you from God to love Satan and hate the villains who share more traits of God. Anything to make you the fan feel like you’re getting the LOLS out and feel good about it…
In all respect, atheism is just pretending to be God. For example, ask an atheist and they will tell you the 'ultimate truths' about life's origin, purpose, morality, and destination. Though they will deny it, they are tacitly claiming to be THE supreme authority in the universe. If this is not so, then, if you are an atheist, please tell us: whose mind do you trust more than your own? If this is not so, then why do you not qualify your thoughts with, "I could be wrong" or "it seems to me." Yet, it is always as if they have the 100%, undeniable last word on life's important matters. Moreover, there are no 'former Christians,' as a Christian is someone who knows the Lord. As it is written, "This is eternal life, that you know God and Jesus Christ Whom He has sent." However, atheists argue that this is a 'no true scotsman' fallacy, yet, to do so, they have to assume that the Bible is not true. Therefore, the best a 'former Christian' could say is that they do not believe there are ANY Christians, as no one can know the Lord. Yet, to make such a bold statement, based on their own personal experience, is the height of absurdity, similar to saying that Hawaii does not exist because I have never been there. The damnable reality of atheism is that there is an afterlife. Just as those who know and love Christ will enjoy the justice of God, so those who reject God will live in the unjust reality of hell for all eternity. For example, all around the world, there are governments that sanction torture in their prisons. Yet, there is no government in hell. It is the 'last stop' on the train of human depravity. In fact, Jesus said that people in hell will be tortured. It is not too difficult to imagine! In fact, just imagine life on earth continuing after the grave; just imagine humanity becoming colder and colder - as predicted in the Bible. Just imagine no courts, no cops, no jails -as all of these are on loan from God. Know God, know justice. No God, no justice. Hell is torment forever! Yet, Christ died on a Cross so that we made be clean of every rotten thing we have done. Do you feel guilty about how you have treated others? The blood of Christ makes us clean - as if we had never sinned! I hope that you will escape the terror of hell to find paradise in heaven - where the weather is always perfect! Jesus Christ is the light of the world.
Thanks so much for your honesty. I agree once born again, you cant become unborn again. For me in church it was the list of "Do's and Don'ts" that made me feel inadequate and further away from God. Finally I decided to leave church, not saying everyone should, but I needed to be uninfluenced and sort myself out. What I found is that religion says "Fix yourself and God/we will accept you" while the Gospel is supposed to be "Come just as you are and I will give you righteousness as a gift". Religion says "You have to work hard to stay forgiven and right" while the true Gospel is supposed to be: "With a single sacrifice I have made you perfectly accepted and irreversibly forgiven forever". Religion says "God is in love with a future version of you" while the Gospel of Grace is supposed to be: "God loves you as you are right now unconditionally and is NEVER GOING TO CHANGE". This reveals a bit of what I found. Please see my journey as I left the church in this link for more: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WHGJZRMIA08.html Appreciate it. Nicolas
43.20 I think that we should never use the term "murder" when it comes to animals and think it should always be used exclusively for human killings in this context. Although I recognize that pets can be seen as part of a family I think that there is a risk of conflating two very different actions.Thoughts!
