I recently got a box full of stuff from my school/bible college days. Join me as I unpack and find all my old notes, learning material and essays on my former Christian belief.

It is quite nice to peruse through your belongings with you and listen to you reminisce. It helps paint the picture where you come from. The only remnants of my religious past are 2 testimonials from bible camp and my baptism photograph from when I was 12. I grew up in an era where children didn't usually get certificates or testimonials, and the ones from bible camp were something of a novelty at the time. You have way better documentation and certification of your religious past. Quite recently I've thrown away a bunch of meditations I've done and prayers and poems that I'd written. The only thing I've kept is my rewrite of the Lord's Prayer. And some books from the religions I've adhered to that I keep for reference.

I've mentioned it elsewhere but mine would be the English project where I wrote a nonfiction kids book on snakes and not only loaded it chock full of creationist dogwhistles but also dedicated it to ken hamm. Though the "War on Christmas" blogpost I wrote comes in at a close second.

Sam goes to Bible College for ONE year, immediately becomes an atheist. Hahaha! Love it Sam, this was great. I really enjoyed seeing your house as well. Teehee!

I have boxes of old stuff like this and regularly think of each item, ‘what’s this? Oh, this is interesting. And that could be useful.’ But o loves the cords comment. 🤣
