Great video i've been trying to find one where they aren't changing out the stud for arp one. Looks like a much less involved without having to take of that stud since it's torqued to around 199fp.
Simple fix, Add 1 oz. of “Marvel Mystery Oil” per gallon of gas when your going to run it hard for a full day, the cough will more than likely be gone, it’s the valves and lifters sticking a tad, done it many times, works every time, 40 yrs in the business fyi, good luck !
i really took into consideration of what your comment said. I was hesitant for a week to buy 2008 leather seats cause of the airbags inside seat. But as stubborn as iam . I wanted to get rid of the cigarette smell in my 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis i went and bought the seats and risked it. When it became apparent there were a number of issues my foam cusions in my 2000 were shot. Driver side was flat . That was 1 problem and the word airbag. The seat swap was VERY simple. Backseats two bolts /4 minutes. Front seats i did not unbolt the factory seats. It had cloth .i was thinking i can swap foam and put leather over cloth. But it was sooo much easier to take cloth off . Foam cusions are not attached to metal frame they hug metal frame. They switch within seconds. There in no airbag in driverside or passanger side in a 2000 MGM . There was airbag on the 2008 seats i bought, but i added a little foam where the airbag was .and clipped all the leather together. It all snaps together with clips. If someone out there is curious about seat swap. I never touched a harness
Hope those bilsteins worked out good for you. I just did all my shocks and springs. Hoping to get it done tomorrow. I love that short bed. I have my grandpa's old 92 and it's the long bed. Nice truck man!
i have a 1988 f250 custom and i have been replacing all the parts to my brake system. i bought the booster rod adjustment tool about 2 weeks ago and it works perfect on my truck. that tool helps out so much and is better ( i think) than using a straight edge and a caliper to measure the depth and push rod. saves a lot of time
Ok brother it’s me again, it’s been a while but here I am with another question. What type of shocks did you get? Do you have a part number for them? I have a 6” lift also. Thx
The battery swells and spits up acid when it's overcharging. Have your alternator checked. It's a sign of a bad voltage regulator. (NOT sure if your 302 has an integrated voltage regulator into the alternator or if it's an external setup.)
I’ll have to get it checked now, last night my electric fans were pulling the same current as always and my dash light were going dim every time the fans kicked on, checked the voltage at the battery and had 12.3-12.5 so I think the alternator is on its way out.
Its your choke cable need to adjust it while you adjust the gov screw and the carb screw set the choke to where it stops popping on the wide open end of the choke
The bushing spins on the bolt, one of the benefits of the hybrid poly/delrin design. With me moving to the Midwest soon, I was happy to see that delrin retains its lubricity to -40 degrees. I think the Polar Vortex can provide temps almost that cold, so I'm not worried about anything seizing up.
It was a lot of work, but I did it all on my own, good luck with your build, take some video of it and send me a link I'm always looking at others people's builds.
I bought two boxes, both 36 sq ft one 50ml and 80ml used 80ml on the floor pan and have a few sheets left, I used the 50ml on the outer door skins back wall and roof of the cab.
