maybe a stupid question , but why do all 4 hits and then do the step in? Wouldn't you be able to do 2-3 hits depending on character, and do the move that paralyzes them and just continue the guaranteed combo without a mix up?
Yep, sure did. Not the first to have done that and even through failed attempts I explain what you want to go for and still show examples. Not a pro at it myself yet but clearly neither are you, evidence being you’re on this video. Edit: I will definitely perform better in the future ✍️
@@TheGracefulRogue all I’m saying is before you make a video trying to teach others you need to be a master or close to one at whatever you’re teaching
the game has a tutorial mode where you can learn and practice every move and mechanic. Also a tip, during a RUSH you can maintain the punch button pressed for a block breaker that leaves the enemy vulnerable, imo this is better than trying to land regular hits. And finally, the game doesnt tell you this, or at least l think so, but if you grab the enemy you can follow with a rush by pressing "Y" (on XBOX) like in the regular combos.
Yes the tutorial is great but some things aren’t entirely clear when looked at there. Plus I knocked out everything in the tutorial. But there is a lot😅 so it’ll definitely be an over time thing implementing everything you learn in there.
@@TheGracefulRogue yeah, l mentioned it because the first tutorial doesnt explain much, so l thought you couldnt do a lot of the stuff you could in previous games. So l was mad AF at the game, until l looked up the tutorial menu (which l hate to do) but is the only way to get good at this game or the CPU will kick your ass, unless you just charge energy and throw a Kamehameha all the time (which is how l beat Zamasu btw heh) and you will miss all the good stuff.
@@TheGracefulRogue heh well you gonna need it, at least if you play the alternate Jiren path... l just quit the game after l got stuck against A17,Freeza, Vegeta and Goku. after you fight Roshi and let me tell you idk if its me but lm sure the B counter doesnt work and also they read and cancel everything you try to do in hand to hand. They dont even let you charge ffs. lm gonna try again tomorrow cause today... l am done, for real men
Also, guys for the combo I did at 4:30 whole thing should be true except the dragon fist it can land there yes but sometimes if not timed right it won’t land. Or your opponent might just recover as soon as they touch the ground. I’ve only landed it successfully in a fight 3 times but have had some issues with it.
@@pandysquatch I legit have a friend who is a Krillin main and he’s like “I get the best character for such a low cost” 😂 I personally hope to see not only him in lineups but my boy Tien out there too.
Im not seeing how this is gonna stop people from spamming fusions and UI online lol. Sure you cant fill your team with a bunch of them, but they still gonna be playing the strongest characters.
@@sketchpen777 I mean i get that too, I just would think it would be more fun if people used more than like 20 characters on the roster. Im not expecting everyone to get used, but i'd like to see some diversity. And with this game not considering balance, that just makes that all the more likely that we'll only see those characters. Im hoping im wrong lol.
This is true every game will have a meta. You would think with the vast roster size you wouldn’t see the same characters. But in a competitive setting like ranked. Expect the winning options to be the norm.
5/15 is the best optimal number which would be 3 characters that's how competitive playerz play bt3 My team will be Android 18, Android 17(Z) and base gt Goku

Especially since...that would have been way too many characters left out! Can you imagine trying to put all those characters in DLC? GT Goku (all of them), Pan, Baby (all of them), SSJ4 Vegeta, etc. Just madness! Thank god. Also I did watch most of this video before realizing it was 3 months ago so I totally guess "OG DB" instead of GT when you raised the question!
@@shadowclonemaster Yes but actually no. Just don’t expect a full team of just broken characters from any era of Dragon Ball due to the DP system. Like you Probably can’t start with Super Gogeta and Legendary SSJ Broly with let’s say Gotenks on a team just due to the amount of points the stronger characters cost.
In terms of new characters, I wouldn't mind ANY character that wasn't in a game before, seeing Kurenai and Hagoromo was pretty awesome. I was bummed out to learn that the last two characters are just Boruto and Kawaki essentially, which should've been in the base game. What I REALLY want for this game, is new story content. Isn't weird how this game didn't cover the boruto story, like what? I really enjoyed the Boruto DLC in S4, and the new story in Connections was very good IMO. Not mentioning the poor Naruto story in connections because it's fine, we already experienced it in the previous games, even though S4 was the least engaging out of all of them.
Yeah, but this game is one of the in between games sorta. Like how Revolution or generations didn’t really do a story mode. Plus they probably want to save that for whatever main game focuses on Boruto in the future.
@@TheGracefulRogue And for that reason, the game was way too expensive when it came out. I was able to get it plus the character pass for 40$ which is very reasonable
It's easy to win against your friend who may not have the game or even the console back in the day, but once you step into the realm of online play against random people in ranked mode you better be ready. (For anyone wondering, back in the day during the very eary 2000's you couldn't just get game consoles and games right after release, parents where not as sold on the idea of 'gaming' as they are today, you also generally couldn't ask nor get games whenever you wanted to, you might have to wait until your birthday, holidays and so on.)

Hell yeah. Sorry for the late response. Sometimes I don’t see notifications for my comments. But yes I do plan to try and review stuff. I want to be a channel that covers a good amount of anime stuff and not just Naruto/Dragon Ball.
They should add a new longer story and some new characters. Especially Hamura, Toneri and new characters. I love Storm connections but man I’m getting tired ngl. I play the new dlc characters for like a week, make content about it and drop it. I’m even replaying the story mode. I even wanted to stream but the game hype ain’t up rn but maybe it’s just me.
No that’s definitely valid as hell. I just can’t stay on this game for long. I only hop on the game to fight my friends occasionally and we barely do that. This game is just dead man which sucks.
I used to play Raging Blast one and two until the rubber would come off of my controllers. I remember cell being just not fair, but I loved ssj2 Teen Gohans combo reset. It was just go times.
"the modded version of 4", you do know that Sparking Zero literally is BT4, right? There's a BT3 mod, but that's it. Also, to think you need to train in BT3 to play Sparking Zero is sweaty clown shit. 😂
Misspoke on the modded version of 4 meant 3. My bad guess the world is ending🤣 I messed up. Anyway people will be sweating on this game so yes I say train in those games at least to let people refresh themselves or go back and actually learn how to play the game properly compared to when we were younger and didn’t know how to play. You know Sparking Zero is literally BT4 right? As you said. So using that logic totally reasonable to get on that game and train or refresh yourself and I’m not the first to suggest so.
You do realize the mod is bt4. Also just cause you don't want to have some knowledge about the game your gonna play, doesn't mean other can't do it. Not sweaty
The problem i have with Super (and i guess, maybe Daima) is that they had regressed Goku's development and maturity as person and martial artist in order for him to develop things he should have already have learned from Z. If they had actual competent writers, they could have made this work. In the manga, the moro ark is in my opinion the best, but i will be the first to call out all the stupid mistakes goku makes to the end of time, because Z Goku would not have made them. Long and short, Z and Super are different continuities to me just like GT.
I understand you completely there. Like outside of Daima because I don’t know how it’ll go but assume it’s Super Goku but mini. I’ve never liked the Super version of Goku much because they make him relearn concepts he already knows and they took away that experienced and sometimes wise Goku. He still had his dumb moments in Z sure but they turned it up to 11 in super. I know that was always Toriyama’s intended version of Goku but yeah I just look at each series’s Goku as a different character for the most part.

Borushiki will be the last reason I play connections lol we got SAO and Sparking zero in October so I'm good and bleach game next with the third part of tybw in October too lol
I feel like even if they did that people would come back and play for a few days maybe and then drop it again anyway. Something needs to change fundamentally in the game for a revival to happen. Which I don’t even know what that would be.
I played BT3 with my friends as a kid and in recent years as an adult i figured out that we all sucked lol but we thought we were just gods at the game fighting within each other, we barely even broke the surface of everything you can do in BT3
I know the feeling when I was younger I really thought I was decent at this game now seeing the actual depth of that was in the game that I never knew about. I got my work cut out for me in sparking 😅
It's strange that they haven't at least added King Piccolo from the OG Dragonball. He's the most important enemy of the first season. So now Kid Goku has not a single timeline related enemy to fight with (expect maybe Muten Roshi). Pretty sure they'll actually release a DB Chapter. I also miss Tambourine, Tao Pai Pai (+ Cyborg Form) and the Devil Man.

Going have to get on social media on an ult account or just live on a mountain for 18 days🤣 Everything is getting shown man. Give it a few days you’ll start seeing Sparking Zero full story mode and all types of other stuff.
