Like wouldnt that cause the head to crack with everything under pressure like that? I hear you should clean threads out of head bolt holes before install to make sure the threads are okay. Well i just took my adderall so im rambling yall have a good day lol
If it was oil or water it would, but air should be compressible enough to not be a problem. I'm just not sure how it would have trapped that much air in the first place.
@@neonweasel Most of them don't know the capability or limitations of their braking system. They've pinned the throttle and found out what it does, they've never pinned the brakes to find out what they can do. They also have no idea how to swerve.... or use the horn button.
I think a dart gun would be better. Just shoot an A- hole dart into their car to remind them. Dart has a nice flag on it telling them just what they are,😉
I haven't been to the track yet. Specifically, this one. It seems that whatever track experience is on here start to get warmed up and finally smash the right line, and they're finishing.
Sometimes they have three groups with 20 min sessions, but that day they had four groups with 15 min sessions. Plus it seemed like we got cut a couple minutes short (except for the time I missed seeing the checked flag 😂)
Thanks for making a vid. I got a 00 VFR800fi with a Yoshimura RS3 Carbon that the PO gutted, baffle pipe replaced with smooth straight pipe, and used screw fasteners to reinstall. Gonna have to take apart, measure the ends, maked the new baffle and repack all over with rivets. Feeling confident now.
Please help me understand why people pull in their clutch during emergency braking situations. You're reducing your stopping power by doing that. Is it just a panic thing? Good job stopping the bike, otherwise.
What do you mean? Engine braking isn't gonna do much for emergency braking, the rear brake gives you more control. Not to mention the majority of braking comes from the front wheel, my rear tire was probably barely touching the ground.
@@neonweasel I'm aware that the majority of the braking power comes from the front brake. I am also aware that the rear brake gives you more control. I'm not sure what that has to do with what I'm saying or what you're confused about, though, because it's not like you have to choose one or two of the three. You want every bit of stopping power that you have available. When I am coming in to make a right angle turn onto my street every day, I apply both breaks while engine braking. One day I actually missed my turn because I accidentally put the bike into neutral. It is a noticeable difference. Are you going to sit here and argue that the correct thing to do while emergency braking is to hold in the clutch? You're simply wrong. IDK, maybe you're the type of person who has a hard time admitting when you're wrong. Stop pulling in the clutch when you need to stop quickly. Or don't, IDC.
In normal braking I do engine brake as well, you're probably right grabbing the clutch might be a panic thing. That's the thing about emergency braking, you don't always do everything perfectly. On the other hand, if my rear tire is in the air, engine braking is irrelevant. I'm not wrong and I don't have a problem admitting when I'm wrong, otherwise I wouldn't have posted a video of me making mistakes. And you DO care or else you wouldn't take the time to comment, thank you it feels nice to be cared about :)
The rear brake has more than enough stopping power to be able to replace engine braking. The reason you missed your turn is because you're used to the amount of pressure you needed to apply to the lever/pedal and you didn't adapt. Not applying more (front) brake when you aren't stopping fast enough sounds like a bigger problem. You are more than welcome to post a video on the subject, this is a video sharing platform after all...
@@neonweasel "The rear brake has more than enough stopping power to be able to replace engine braking. The reason you missed your turn is because you're used to the amount of pressure you needed to apply to the lever/pedal and you didn't adapt" I am so glad you were able to repeat to me exactly the fucking point I was making. The whole idea is that my normal braking pressure was completely insufficient without engine braking to stop in time for the turn. If engine braking is significant enough to require less front/rear brakes than without it, it's probably a good idea to always employ it, especially in an emergency situation. Besides, your initial response was not, "yeah, engine braking would have helped and there's no circumstance where pulling in the clutch during an emergency stop makes sense," but instead, you felt the need to point out that the brakes are MORE effective than engine braking, a fact of which I never indicated I was unaware. So yeah, you couldn't simply admit that pulling in the clutch was a mistake, and you still can't without throwing in superfluous arguments that are completely irrelevant to anything I've said. "EnGiNe bRakiNg iS iRRelEvant iF my rEar tiRe is iN thE aiR!" Yeah, and so is pulling in your clutch, genius!
I think you did a great job. You helped me alot in my endeavor. Only a few things I will do a little different but you gave me great ideas. Absolutely brilliant Sir. M7
Watching two years later. I would think that filtering is going to make motorists pissed off at bikers even more than usual. It seems like it gives the biker the legal right to be an asshole, you know, cut in line or show up late for an event and go to the front. Have you hit any mirrors yet?
I've only had one negative reaction from someone, maybe they've realized it doesn't really affect them. No I haven't hit any mirrors, is that supposed to be a common occurrence?
@@neonweasel No, just curious as it looks as though some of the spaces are tight and the potential is there but if it hasn't been an issue in two years then sounds like it isn't a problem. It just surprises me that being allowed to legally cut in line doesn't piss people off. It usually does if a car does it, as when a car goes up the shoulder and then cuts in front or somebody who stays in the wrong lane and passes a bunch of cars and then cuts in front. Must be all the mellow Mormons. Good luck. I'm sure it is fun to pass a bunch of motor vehicles at every stop light.
@@diffened People get mad for cutting the line? I mean, it was an issue in grade school. If they're not disrupting the flow of traffic(more importantly MY flow) then why should anyone be upset? I say that with sarcasm because I'm well aware how much road rage exists.
@@Volcatious Really? So you're at the pictures and people keep jumping the line and you are alright with it? How about at a sporting event? You've been waiting outside at a restaurant for half an hour and people cut the queue and you are just fine with it? aahahahahaaaaaaaaaahahahaa .......oohohohohohooooooohohohohoooooooo
@@diffened in all the situational examples you said; it wouldn't kill my day. Say a few jokes, especially if they can hear me, and move on. Now taking my parking spot when I've been waiting, revenge will be served. Regardless, the topic is lane splitting. Unless they hit you, they're not affecting you.
Some car drivers struggle to understand the importance of safety distance and trajectory. They just move as if their car fitting in a space without immediately crashing were safe enough.
The reason people get upset (in Utah) over lane filtering, is because Utah is OVERRUN with rule-nazi Karens. These are the people who are obsessed with the "it's not fair" mentality. The argument of "why should YOU be able to get through traffic when I can't"? These are the same "Karens" who will sit in the passing lane and keep pace with the car in the center lane, to keep people from going over the speed limit, because they're obsessed with making people follow "the rules". They also love to argue how "motorcycles are dangerous". So it's no wonder that given these combined attributes, they have a meltdown, whenever they see a motorcyclist filtering, let alone just riding and minding their own business.
The sound of your voice at start up after all that work was gut wrenching. " It doesn't sound any different". Tenacious work effort earns double bonus points never the less.
It's an old vid, but I hope you see this. Been riding in other states and just moved back to Utah. I have to say, I feel the same way, lane filtering is awesome! Been driving around in dense traffic areas and absolutely loving it! Keep it shiny side up brotha, maybe we'll wave on a pass by.
also, PLEASE BE CAREFUL! Seeing these clips had me scared for you man. I know you are careful but You are encountering a lot of reckless and oblivious drivers out there man.
Damn my horn sounds like his and I have a sonata. Some fool almost hit me because she didn’t want to wait for the car in front of her while they were getting onto the highway off an exit so she continued over to my lane...the whole reason for being in that lane was because they had to merge...happened just a minute ago and my puny horn did nothing. Why I’m on here now. Pissed.
You deserve more subs after you spending your own money in motorcycle gear that’s so sad how you spent your money and getting no money a lot of people watch your videos all the time but they don’t sub.
is two horns loader than one? is it much loader than one? because i'm thinking about doing two denali soundbomb minis. your advice would be appreciated. thanks
