Yoshimura RS-3 Rebuild/Repack

The process of restoring the muffler from my GSX-R600. It was in pretty rough shape from when I bought the bike, so I wanted to repair it and make it look pretty. It's not really a How To because I hadn't done it before, and I doubt your muffler is as bad off as mine was.
I don't know if it made any difference with the sound or engine performance... but I like to think that it did. I feel a lot better about it anyway.
My first video! (Sorry if it's a little long). Please leave feedback, I wanna get better!

Thanks for making a vid. I got a 00 VFR800fi with a Yoshimura RS3 Carbon that the PO gutted, baffle pipe replaced with smooth straight pipe, and used screw fasteners to reinstall. Gonna have to take apart, measure the ends, maked the new baffle and repack all over with rivets. Feeling confident now.

The sound of your voice at start up after all that work was gut wrenching. " It doesn't sound any different". Tenacious work effort earns double bonus points never the less.

Haha don't worry, I was only joking! I wasn't expecting it to make too much of a difference in the sound, I was mostly just fixing its appearance.

I know! I wish I would have thought to record it before... I didn't alter it drastically so I don't think the difference would have been very noticeable anyway.

Whats the name of that tool for the ribbits
@neonweasel

It's actually just called a rivet tool or rivet gun. This type of rivet is called a pop rivet.

I've heard some people use stainless steel wool, but that might be expensive.

You can also find universal muffler packing online pretty much everywhere
