Thank you so much ! You saved me. I wonder, is it possible to also add our microphone to be heard in the recording as well with the internal computer audio ?
Thank you. I'm here because everyone else kept leaving out crucial steps in their videos. Like HOW TO STOP THE SCREEN RECORD. 🤦🏾♂️ I appreciate the detailed video.
Hi Jay, I was so happy that could solve the issue but unfortunately did not work to me (neither with AiriPods nor with "speakers for recordin" . I tried so many options and did all the steps : ( Thanks anyway for your video.
I want to combine my voice input (via headphone mic) and the sound of a video that is shown on the screen. Is that possible? I followed your instructions, but don't hear my voice speaking "over" the video sound.
This didn’t work for me. The minute I downloaded and installed it, I no longer could hear through the Mac speakers or headphones and your video also wouldn’t play correctly. I’m uninstalling all this stuff.
I still can not get the sound to come out and have followed this step by step and confirmed Black hole is supported by iOS Sonoma. HEEEELLP! I have a mac book pro 2020 m1
Just an FYI here...My Norton 360 Security software (i.e. antivirus) popped up a "Danger" warning page, when I tried to visit the existential.audio/blackhole page. So, I'll have to find another way to re-route the audio into QuickTime. Thanks for your video.
Became an instant subscriber!! Only one question, how do/what software broadcasters create a picture in a picture set up to simultaneously run a video thru comment on within their screen? Asking cuz I didn't know if there is a software purchase involved or of you tube studio had a setting to embed a video into your recording screen? Help me Obinwan Kinobi, lol.
Hey LadyFarin! Seems there are two main ways you can go about this. Option 1- you can use screen recording software (OBS Studio on win/mac, or Quicktime on a mac) to capture your screen, and then use a dedicated camera to record yourself speaking, then edit them together in your video editing software of choice (something like DaVinci Resolve which is free, or Adobe Premiere or FCPX which are paid). Option 2- Use software like Loom, SnagIt, or Camtasia to record your screen, camera, and audio all in one application. Loom has a free tier and Snagit has a free trial as well, and Camtasia has some pretty sophisticated editing features. Hope that helps!
Thanks Jay, how do I record ONLY the audio and video from the screen and not my audio? For example we record video call interviews and when recording via QuickTime and the steps you mentioned, it still records sound from my end (annoying background noises included). We want JUST the video/audio from the screen recording video call.., Any tips?
Did not work for me 🤔. I have mac M1. There was no "External Headphones" to be found. I even connected an external bluetooth... but it showed the name... not a generic External Headphone. Anyway, sounded very easy but reality is always a bit more....
