What I made was "A strange crime oops reversed words, happened inside a scruffy flat 17 steps away from door where doctor was found dead who looked like a water wise junkie." i used to memorize my engineering course like this in the last day and just nail all exams. Mind palace needs a lot of focus and visual image building capacity to work. Also, you would need to expand this palace of yours if you want to remember more stuffs. Better not use to remember some random words.

Thank you! You can use it as many times as you want, if you memorize your mind palace by reusing it you can never get lost. And you can add new rooms, objects etc with each new memory. So yeah you can reuse it or you can make a new one if you want :)

I see. I use this technique for daily life details so it’s enough for me as it is. But in your case, you can look for other versions of this technique where other RU-vidrs explain it in detail as ‘the memory palace technique for studying’. :)
I used to be afraid of not taking the most efficient path and that would prevent me from starting. But I then learned that the most efficient path is revealed by starting. Because that way you'll encounter all the problems you need to solve alone the way and not waste time trying to anticipate issues you won't need to deal with.
I was considering whether or not I should sub, then I realized, "Wait a minute. While I'm sitting here, trying to decide whether or not I should sub, somebody else out there might be already subbing, and then they'll have their sub and also be well on their way to exploring all the new experiences their sub will bring. Got a dopamine hit myself when I saw...100 SUBS!!! LFG!!! XD Congratulations on the milestone. So proud! Also, the lighting/sound/presentation on this one was *chef's kiss* Dopamine's a tricky beast! I like to think I'm halfway decent at delaying gratification, but even still, I can occasionally fall victim to the vicious cycle of "Eh, why the hell not?" And man, it's like Pandora's Box after you slip once. But it works the same both ways - once you get back on track, that momentum really does carry. I feel fortunate that I grew up the way I did - not being terribly social and having to make my own fun more often than not - while I spend a good chunk of my life on my computer (mostly for work tho, so it's ok LMAO), I often feel as though I get the same, if not greater mental stimulation just exploring an unfamiliar road on a walk or discovering cool nature paths I didn't know existed. I find it's a great way to kinda shift the burden of immediate action from the mind to the body for a little while and reset the thought processes that lead to procrastination and binging and all those sorts of nasty things.

They told me I could be anything...so I became Sylvester Stallone. ADRIAAAAAN! Speaking from personal experience, social anxiety is really good at convincing you that everyone else also notices all the things you do and all the little things around you and harps on them just as much as you do - usually, hours after the fact, if not days. It was a bit of a relief to realize that usually isn't the case. I wouldn't say the average person is selfish necessarily, but most do have a level of self-centricity that is so much a distraction for them, that it offers some peace of mind to someone like me. You still harp on things, you still remember some dumb thing you said 5 years ago, or the strange look on someone's face when you slightly inconvenienced them a week or 2 ago...but what's almost certain, is they don't, and that is definitely freeing. Also, living to please yourself and not others is SO much cheaper XD Imagine how many maxed out credit cards there are out there belonging to people who spent everything they didn't have to impress someone they barely know LOL

I agree, so much of life is about internal narrative. I like to remind myself that everyone's limited to at best the grey matter that fits between their ears, 2 good hands and 2 good feet. It's mostly about discipline, which is difficult because you are the opponent, meaning that every improvement you make, they get as well.
It takes time. You're attractive and well-spoken, so if you just remain consistent and keep putting out quality content (I especially liked the "Don't Waste Your Potential" video) you will gain traction quickly.

Whatever my favorite distraction is, I like to make it more difficult to reach until I finish a task, or certain number of tasks depending on the reward. Like if it's a sweet treat, if you make it a productive day, you treat yourself, like you're your own Pavlov's dog. And for building consciousness, I like to do exercise, and whenever I forget the number I'm at, I restart the set until I reach my goal. You don't have to use weights, you could just breathe (with your eyes closed preferably) or any other body-focused task that's not pleasurable, but is good for you. And always focus more on form (alignment and recruitment), cause with any body-focused task, form is function. Your message is great, editing is engaging, and imo your background is good. A nice clean, well lit wall looks professional. And your makeup is nice, too! I think you'll gain some success here. Working on a novel myself for a loooooong time now with still some ways to go, I've definitely learned - if even through sheer brute force - that it's vital for me to constantly be thinking about the final product; not as some abstract, far away impossibility, but as something that will only come to fruition as a result of the thousands of tiny slivers of progress made throughout. Regardless of whether I sit down to write once in a week or every single day, it's all for that final draft and thinking about the little pieces I work on - whether words, paragraphs, or chapters - belonging to and sitting neatly in a far larger finished work certainly gets the dopamine a-pumping like nothing else lol Great video as always, Charlotte. I once read a book by Raymond Hull called "How to get what you want", it describes step by step, how to subconsciously self-conditioning yourself to work towards whatever goal you set yourself. Did it with a study partner, the book recommends a To-Want-list not bigger than 10. We managed to actually do all of the things that were on it. Even though I, myself struggle with motivation a lot of times. Sometimes I believe I should have kept applying that technique.
