I agree, so much of life is about internal narrative. I like to remind myself that everyone's limited to at best the grey matter that fits between their ears, 2 good hands and 2 good feet. It's mostly about discipline, which is difficult because you are the opponent, meaning that every improvement you make, they get as well.

If we look at life and self-awareness as the statistical impossibility that it is, it becomes downright insane to disregard it. The odds of you existing, and me existing, and this video existing and me typing a comment on it - geez, that's like winning the lottery and getting struck by lightning at the same time (except, I get to keep my 2 bucks...and my eyebrows) Some people ask, what's the point of it all? And I honestly don't think there is one baked in or anything like that - which can be upsetting and scary to think about, absolutely. But, when against literally all the odds, you've been handed the keys to the consciousness kingdom, why get stuck on the details? The band's gonna play with or without you.
