I was one of those people who had the early version where you couldn't get 100%. Since this was before you can update and patch games, they had people who had the faulty versions send back their discs, and they replaced it with a patched one.
The penalty system has been flawed from the getgo. They still have not fixed it and dirty drivers seem to get away with it. Since PD has created Sophy AI which is more complex than the penalty system shows you where their priorities are. They can simple create an AI marshal/penalty system that can monitor every driver and dish out appropriate penalties. It’s not that hard to implement or code so I don’t know why PD can’t figure this out since GT Sport’s release. Driver’s behaviors will continue degrade without punishments & this has been a long standing problem that they haven’t solved. Do better PDi as this stains GT’s credibility and legacy!! Motorsports is a non contact sport!
Random band from Wales whon are actually loved massively in Japan. Bassist is Japanese & the Lead singer is married to a Japanese woman. They're alwaus touring over there as well. Love my Feeder 😋😅 They had a song on GT4 as well, Shatter.
The big problem with Fanatec is after they came out with the CSL DD, the cheapest direct drive on the market, they were always out of stock. And then 2 new competitors you forgot to mention came out: Moza and Simagic. Fanatec were so slow to get their stock back on sale, these 2 companies had the time to improve their software which was flawed compared to Fanatec to a degree that now they are their main competitors. On top of that Fanatec have waited too long to come out with the QR2 and finally last fall they came out with their best wheelbase to date:Clubsport DD and DD+. It was a bit late as many sim racers had already changed for Moza, Simagic or even Asetek and Simucube. Add to this the shipping problem with Black Friday and a bad customer service and you have a real disaster! So if Corsair buys the company, it might be the only way they will survive. I agree that it's not fair for the shareholders but this is the way it is for any stock market company. If they go bankrupt you lose all your money. I agree with you that Fanatec should remains in the sim racing market. They have been at the forefront of Sim racing and with their new Full Force, it remains to be seen how good it will be when we finally have software that uses it. Their biggest problem will be to regain buyer's confidence with all the Fanatec bashing on RU-vid these days. Hopefully they will keep Thomas Jackermeier on board. He is the Steve Jobs of the company! You need people with vision to improve technology but you also need business people to control the finances!
typical racing game dumbasses in the comments not realizing how important music is to video games is hilarious lmao. personally i'd laugh my ass off if this became a collaboration between Polyphony, Pharrell. and Snoop Dogg to make "Dogg's Turismo 8" for the next game. Snoop in the booth again and Pharrell making the beat or some shit idk. really, in terms of the music side of things for GT, i just wanna hear new Daiki Kasho songs instead of recycling the same old ones we've been listening to since 2005.
...Ignoring all the comments below, I still want you guys to interview Daiki Kasho sometime. lol. Perhaps in Tokyo as part of this year's World Series?
Why everyone thinks that car and track modellers somehow get distracted and busy making music for the game. This two things is not connected. And although I'm in my late 30's and now prefer commute home in silence, when I play, I want loud music. And GT OST didn't really updated in a long time, it needs a full refresh.
Spent hours on this game week in week out doing the challenges getting the licenses...doing the time attack...favorite car was the blue Skyline but also the Supra...Lots of fun for many years this game really sucked you in !!!
We had a Spanish champion last year that won thanks to a controversial move. If this new penalty system was already a thing he wouldn't have won it and we don't need to be very harsh on it to think he didn't deserve it.
I've literally just got one very late in the game But I was lucky enough to unlock the Daytona track on GT7 at the same time i got the vr2 And it seems to not affect me as much so that is all ive been playing at the moment😂
GT7 has serious penalty system problems, points deleted for minimum unintentional contact is not fair. Most lobbies in daily races are very dirty, many honest mistakes bc of skill level, and serious problems with pd almost always forcing use of hard tires creates even more unintentional ramming bc of skill level. Ban hard tires except in longer races! Fix the problems, don't penalize people after the fact bc your system sux
Contact is, to an extent, part and parcel of motorsport, especially with tintops. If you force severe penalties on the slightest of contact then you're effectively stopping racing and turning the whole thing into a parade where nobody wants to risk an overtake.
It's welcome as far as I'm concern as long as the harshness stays consistent and isn't a temporary knee jerk. The problem with being lenient with "small" infractions is it opens the door to the sneakiest driver benefiting the most.
Screw Gran Turismo 7 with their stupid ass penalties and difficulty. I never would've recommended gran turismo in 1997 if they had them in the first place. The series went downhill when gt6 released. Whatever happened to pole positions? Starting dead last, in 20th place with 30 seconds behind first place is insanity.
It’s dispiriting to see the folks at GTP put so much effort into covering GTWS. Be it videos like this or the coverage we get from actual live events. Yes there is a place for all this. But online racing and e-sports in particular are such a small part of the GT7 community. It would be nice to get some commentary on what GT7 needs to improve the single-player experience and much needed new content. Maybe more coverage from a respected outlet like GTP would put pressure on PD to deliver the goods. Even on the single-player event side I’m very surprised to see so little pushback on the lack of endurance racing. These were promised over 18 months ago in a public statement together with better means to earn money.
