"Comfortable as hell" and "powerful as out" should be industry standard words 😂. Good to see you back. Getting geared up for a 3 night waz up Scotland.
Looks good mate, I've just sold my SW Motech day bag and got the Yukon wp one for the Capo and wp pro Enduro for the 890. Saves all faff with the waterproof covers. Bike looks lovely and sounds very nice. 90 mile range will definitely save your arse 😂
Had the same experience as you. Wanted a retro bike as my VStrom 1000 was not used for what I bought it for. Tried different Royal Enfields and the Moto Guzzi V7. I was sure I wanted the MG but wanted to try out the Aprilia RS 457. Never rode a sport bike, only naked and ADV. From the second I drove off I knew that this was the bike for me. After the test ride the salesman wanted to write up a quote for the MG but I told him I wanted the Aprilia. So at 58 years old my first sport bike will be in the garage by tomorrow.
Smashing bike Pete, looks a lot of fun - similar to my monster. I have just ordered a 74 plate Africa Twin 1100l dct es as the Multistrada Enduro Ive had for 4 years was just too heavy for light off roading. Hope to see you on the road one day. Looking forward to seeing your camping videos soon! 👍🏍🏍👍
Good to see you back on the Tube...great garage and garden build. Bike sounds good too..what a coincidence it suffers from the same random wheel lifting tendency as the last one...!!😂. Great stuff, Cheers Steve
Nice one mate, moving is one of the most stressful things you can do in life, did enough of that over the years, well done on building your workshop, ace looking logo on the wall, garden nicely done too. The new bike is an absolute beast, just be careful your not in that crematorium bud, happy trails mate, looking forward to seeing the upcoming videos 👍🏼

My God Man , i was just saying to myself he has everything apart from the Kitchen sink . Then he pulls out a Kitchen Sink , you couldn't make it up if you tried Top Man you know how to camp in style. I'm 64 and have decided i am going to buy a 125 Scooter come next April and do some camping tours on it. Can't wait
As for me, I had to wait 4 months before receiving my panniers. Holan is impossible to reach, does not respond to emails or text messages. After finally receiving and assembling the panniers, I noticed 3 problems. The locks are of poor quality because it is very difficult to insert the keys and especially then to remove them. Even closed on the rack, it is possible to remove the panniers. Worse, the screws of the hanging bracket on the rack were not tightened (intentionally). By tightening them, the hanging mechanism gets stuck and is unusable. Once again I tried to contact Holan for explanations, without success. For me, this pannierssystem is not safe and is not worth its price. I am very disappointed.
This is really bad. I have had no problems at all with mine. I did buy the upgraded locks mind I don’t know if they made a difference. They are a total nightmare company to deal with in this day and age.
I live just outside Durham and have ridden along all of the roads in your entertaining video. As for the midges, having done a lot of camping in Scotland, England and Wales, I would strongly recommend the use of Avon Skin So Soft as a midge repellent. I first found out about this product in a Scottish campsite shop which had vast amounts of said product. It really does work, so much so that I have used it for the past 25 years. It really does keep the little biters away. Give it a try yourself some time.
All your videos have been inspiring and thought provoking. I am about to start my first trip from Suffolk to Yorkshire and then into Scotland next week. Thanks for the content as it has helped me prepare for my first trip on two wheels! Just need the weather on my side! Keep up the good work 👍
You always seem to get on well with the trangia, I tried to cook some new potatoes this weekend, after 30 minutes of waiting for it to come to the boil, I gave up and put the pan on the single gas burner .... took a couple of minutes.... hey presto! Is it a case of ditching the fluid and getting a gas burner fitting? Maybe the fluid don't burn hot enough? Mandy
Haha I shouldn’t laugh. What fuel were you using? Did the burner “pop” into life and flare up? Did you split the potatos? I do say if you are in a hurry or impatient then the meths burner is not for you. I do have the gas burner too but tend to stick to meths mixed one tenth water. There’s something relaxing about silent cooking on meths, just takes a while😂
@Two_Wheel_Trips yes, using bioethynll fluid, yes, I cut them (new baby potatoes) but after 30mins and no sign of them boiling seemed a long time lol... luckily we also has tge gas burner. Think I'll have to find some patience!!
Love your attention to detail mate especially the camping and cooking side of things. What tent do you feel is best for solo camping on a bike? and would love to know where you get your small items e.g your bag of small spices oil etc? I assume it's made up.
Hi thanks for that appreciate the nice words. All the little bits and pieces are just Amazon mostly. I’ve used that tent in that video couple of times now I find it the best for solo. It’s very strong and dry too. Been tested in next video😂
My boys and I have visited Goathlands many times. And stayed at that camp site. Must be at least 20 years ago. Looks nicer now. Used to be sheep grazing and shitting everywhere 😁. There was an old boy who used to sit watching you with a shotgun on his lap. He was really grumpy and threatened to shoot any dog seen off it's lead 😂
