When he said that shit about bands getting old and needing to stop, ac/dc immediately came to mind. Ive loved that band since i was a little kid, more so bons music than brians, but after Malcolm died, fuck thats it man...
Honestly, peter is the type of guy that was destined to just make some freaky gothic rock/metal/etc - his face looks like he could be a boris karlov Era monster
“I try to make it so it looks like I have some self respect” That’s a really, really good way to talk about health. When you’re not healthy by your own lifestyle, it does come off like you don’t respect yourself. Very good, Peter Steele. RIP.
This is definitely the peak of Type O Negative’s career during the decade of the 90’s. Type O released 5 albums during the 90’s & the other two albums were released in 2003 & 2007 🤘
Thanks Peter for explaining the usages of English language. Its quite similar here in England too. Raining cats and dogs... that's when its raining heavy...we say that in England..
When a 6 foot 7 muscle bodied monster who looks similar to count Dracula himself says he needs to work on his body tremendously you really start to look in the mirror...
So funny that the Rolling Stones were literally in their (very) late 40s and (very) early 50s here and that 27 years ago it was such an insane thing that they were still touring. As I write in 2023, Mick is 80 and they're still touring, and have firmly totally normalised that a band never has to quit as long as they're good enough. Ironically, rock music was still, I guess, young when this interview was filmed so we didn't know yet. Some bands I'd go to see in concert these days easily age up to their 80s. Most of the big bands lucky enough to still be touring are 50s at least. If you're good enough, you're young enough. Anyway, I'd kill to see Type O these days who'd be 50s / 60s.
"Certainly not". And in those two words, Josh summed up; -The band's sense of humour (outward) -The band's general state of mind (inside) -The band's music (for all of us to enjoy) I💚JS
All the animal protein killed him. The people who consumed the greatest quantity of red meat per week-especially unprocessed red meat, like steak-had a 58% greater risk of developing diverticulitis than those who ate the least red meat each week. A person's risk of diverticulitis rose by 18% per serving of red meat consumed daily.Oct 24, 2022
I got to meet Peter and type o when I was a teenager at a signing. They were extremely nice and really humble guys. They were thanking everyone for coming to the signing. Just was a great experience and something I will not forget. Thought I share.
So him and Elizabeth was an on and off thing for ten years? And they spent two years apart around this time? Interesting. I'm sure he was very sad about the way things ended for good in 2000, but it's clear it was very much over at that time. I'm sorry he never really seemed to have gotten over her. I wish he would've gotten help and a support net.
New fan of them .But i see his answers about political things, growing.HE KNOWS WHAT HES SAYING.Hes very right with this things. They are not anarchists, but they understand neccesary of good government....Waw.I like what hes saying and i accept with him.Iam very happy when popular musicians especially really GOOD musicians dont give a shit ,but they have their oppinions. On political things etc.Hands up.Thanks for this interview and...rip Peter....So sad still after all these years....
