@@MyLawnStory oh, no. Any new bedknife would need sharpening. Even if just a backlap. Or light grinding. I didn't mean to not grind. Just saying it won't hurt the bank.when you finally need a new one.
@@MyLawnStory I'm also in DFW area. Is this gentleman interested in providing more of this service or was this a one time thing and he isn't looking for additional business?
0.5" is great for a lawn. When its thick and healthy, it looks lower, but also it makes a great carpet. I put a 8 blade on my greensmower and the quality of cut improved significantly at the 0.5". I never scalped but instead did verticuts and was able to get the results I was looking to achieve
What type of reel mower are you using? I do mow once or twice a month 😢 and there are lawn fanatics like this profesional that mow every day. Hats off to you.
I received my 20” Rolux Honda engine 9 blade last week. A beautiful machine it is. I do wish Rolux would sell a lighter grass catcher with a topper though. Other than that… spot on. Love it.
If you got watering restrictions, I’d wait until that’s relieved or when you got some rain in the forecast for several days. Will be hard to get the grass to grow when everything is hot and dry.
Are you using the same battery powered trimmer unit for the scissors and the edger? If so what unit is that that allows you to use those interchangeably?
It’s a Ryobi 40v 4Ah. Unsure which model, they have so many but look for the one with interchangeable ends. Depending on how big your lawn is, the battery may need to be recharged. For me I can edge entire yard and get 3/4 ways with rotary scissors on a full battery. I usually edge first then charge the battery while I mow then I finish the yard with rotary scissors this gives me enough juice.
@@MyLawnStory Awesome, thanks. Really makes me think about going back to battery powered for my trimmer/edger gear. Did the edger come with the ryobi unit, and you just had to buy the scissors separate?
I never use PGR . I wouldnt want anyone stunting my growth > In this hot weather I just cut down on fertilizing. I concentrate on stremthening roots and feeding the soil
Half those products you are using are unnecessary. Punch holes and topdress with 80/20 sand compost. Fertilze with high N, and you're done. Most lawn youtubers have become product scammers. Please dont become one of them
