I was born a tinkerer and this is my RU-vid channel. I enjoy working on and running Gravely Tractors, Sears Tractors as well as other various home projects, gardening and landscaping projects. I use a lot of different tools that I'll provide a review for. Check out my Instagram DKTractors
Are you sure its a good idea to drive over top of the deck with the tractor? I don't recall of those Gravely decks being considered drive-over decks? But maybe I'm wrong. I always pulled mine out from the side.
@@DKTractors I use the Klein ones at work. I was in HF looking and gave it a chance. I'll be returning it soon lol, this is the only negative experience I've had with HF tools
I use Sunrise Red on all of my red Gravely tractors. Not factory correct but I am not in a judged contest. Does one of the decal guys in the Gazette Classifieds make a dash decal or know who does? Pro8 is looking good. PaulL
Gravely tractors were great for their time. I was a huge fan of them years back. But today Im greatful to have a Jonh Deere X series tractor n mower. So simple to work on and heavier duty mowing deck with superior cut minus the power robbing shaft drive that caused the motor to bog down in heavy grass .And powerful Kawasaki motor. They are very expensive tho just like Gravely was back then.
@paddymurphy729 start at the tank and work forward to see when it stops flowing. Tank valve first, tubing, filter then see if the pump works and finally see if fuel is going into carb.
Is that engine an m8 kohler? If so do you have any videos showing the throttle linkage? I have a chipper with an m8st all of a sudden it wont run at high rpm it slows itself down to about half throttle. Nice little machine youre working on 👍
Ur lucky. I had to 'heat quench' my idler pivots. I drilled holes in the belt areas. Mine sits outside & always had water sitting in them. If u put the 40 on a L/C watch backing up, it'll dig in. @17:17 U saw the crack. Keep eye on the welds there. I gotta redo my welds. U did get the spindle zerks too I'm sure.
The descaler didn't seem to remove much. How does it compare to a heavy wire wheel on an angle grinder? Nice deck. Not much rust through. Better than mine. PaulL
Nice to see another video. I'm glad to see you experimenting with fluid film. I would spray it where those belts are and don't worry about that. Fluid film turns gooey. You could use the stralso. Try drilling a hole in metal when you need to and use fluid film as a lubricant. Works great. Call me out if I'm wrong. Try spraying the fluid film around your Magneto. It will help keep the moisture out big time. I don't sell that stuff, but I sure do like it. Don't forget your vehicle with fluid Film, or just do some experimenthat's.❤❤❤❤❤ Can't wait for your next video😊😊😊😊😊😊
You didn't add metal shims between the bearing and the rubber gasket/seal? On mine if I try that, it seems like the bearing is compressed too much and doesn't want to spin easily.
