Hello! I have a tbi thats leaking some oil. From what I ve seen one point is around the pcv valve atop the engine. Do you know anyway I can change the gasket for that without buying the pcv as awhole?
Hi there, yes there is a way to change the gasket in the pvc valve. I did it myself. But you have to be very very carefully when you open the top, because these clips may break . Do it with heat all the time and slowly…it will pop off, be careful not to loose the spring that’s inside. When you got it open, you can change the gasket and the problem will be solved. Take you’re time.

do you have any idea how to synchronise timing? Most likely due to worn variator, timing belt skipped a tooth or 2 and now i'am getting bunch of codes, are locking tools gonna be any help with that? and are there any markings on crankshaft or camshafts that indicate proper positions of cams?
Hi there. It could be a bit difficult, because the gasket is sometimes tight on the engine. But I recommend to lessen all the screws and then carefully raise the separator from each side a bit ..it should come off than. Number is 55215302

Having the same problem, changed it and after few days rough idle and poor first start of the car is back. Morning or first start is very bad idle is rough and the car sometimes shuts down, could that be bad lambda again or something else like MAF or crankshaft sensor?

Hey man. Thanks for the video. I am going to take my 159 TBi to the garage in about a month to replace the timing belt. would you recommend buying this water pump separately? From what I can see, most kits seem to come with the plastic impeller pump. Cheers.
Hi there! Your right, the most kits come with the water pump. I also got it with the normal water pump. I think you can also go for the plastic pump. I did it because I didn't know, that a water pump with this steel blades exist - I just wanted the best :D. But I think the plastic also will do the job...
