Need advice please, I want to get a illuminated bowtie for my brothers birthday but not sure it will fit. He has a 2021 custom trail boss. It did not come with any type of bowtie can he add this if I get him one??
I feel like nobody understands 4auto. Once you put it into 4auto it engages the front axle. The way it distributes power is through a clutch pack transfer case essentially making it all wheel drive. There is NO engagement and disengagement of the front axles.
Did you change tires? That can often be a culprit. This truck wasn’t stock long enough for me to have a meaningful comparison. But from the ReadyLift to the BDS with Fox is a world of difference.
@@limitedslipautomotive yeah. My last truck was a 6” lifted titan on 35s. No preload spacer and definitely road smoother. I had the standard tires for a bit but went to a 275/65/20. I may end up going with a 4” just to get rid of the pre load spacer.
@@limitedslipautomotive Had to cut the front bumper near the bottom and cut the front side fender liners. Still rubs slightly when in reverse full clock. I think it can be solved if I cut about an inch more on the liner though
I have a video on the channel about it. Essentially it changes the sensitivity of your throttle pedal. You can make it more or less sensitive than stock.
Brother! How ya been!? Missed ya...i thought about getting a Borla exhaust but ended up with a Flowmaster Super HP2 and covered the resonators with aluminum tape like you showed, way back. That Borla sounds awesome though‼️🔥🔥 Yeah! Those quad tips are the way to go on our Silverados! 👍👍Ultimately for my set up, muffler, quad tips, high heat paint (did myself) and then labor for local custom shop to install (weld) it was about $500.
I have a 2020 Silverado 1500 LT 5.3 my truck comes with AFM AND DFM would u recommend getting this device ? And i do have flowmeter outlaw extreme cat back exhaust did u notice any difference driving ur truck after you plug that in ?
They can have either AFM or DFM, not both. Regardless id 100% recommend getting one. Makes the truck drive better, sound better with a custom exhaust, and may be beneficial in preventing lifter collapse.
Do you have any recommendations for the 2.7 Silverado 8L80 transmission? I’m 195-210 daily and would like to lower that a bit. It also appears the factory bypass is fully sealed.
Man that temp sender is easy to get at on this engine! Mine has a straight six and it's buried in the back of the engine. Most people never find it in their lifetime 😅
I have a 2019 1500 custom 6Cyl and the transmission heats up exactly like yours does without a warning sign on the dash. Mine will then have a hard time shifting into the next gear after 2nd and the RPM goes up to 4-5 before hard shifting into the next. I’ve taken it to the dealer and they can’t figure it out either.
When I put it on cruise control it accelerated an additional 10 mph than the set mph. It then returned to the set mph and again accelerated 10 additional mph and kept fluctuating back and forth. When I removed the calibrator the cruise started working just fine. Other than the cruise control not working properly, everything else worked fine. I’m going to contact rc tomorrow, i probably got a defective unit.
I just replaced my 20” wheels with 17s. Got a flat tire at 45,000 miles on the truck, perfect opportunity to swap out tires and wheels. It looks soo sexy now. Looks squatty, but lifted. I got methods on the BFG All-terrain CLASSIC pattern. Looks soo sick now. I wish I could fit bigger tires, but I’m maxed out on a trail boss standard lift.
@@limitedslipautomotive with the set up I bought, no spacers needed. I bought method MR305 NV - 17 x 8.5 (0 offset) on 285/70R17 and there’s no rubbing. I didn’t want to do trimming. There’s a huge difference in look. It went from looking like ‘cookie tires’ to truly looking like meaty 33s are on it.
Man if I had a custom, I would change out the headlights. They’re not bad, but there are some pretty good options. I have the LT which literally has zero aftermarket choices. It sucks bc it’s my favorite mod to do
@@limitedslipautomotive the entire housing. All the aftermarket options are for “factory halogen” which is code word for the Custom. They’ve got some cool LED options that I would install if they fit on my truck.
That looks great man, literally washing your video and waiting for the call from 4 wheel parts for my BDS 4 inch kit, it looks sick keep it up with your videos
I’ve got 88k on mine. Runs great. Only true issue was a small hole in one of the engine oil cooler lines blowing oil everywhere. The gas cap cover door also broke
My 2021 Trail boss custom 5.3, 6 speed, built without AFM. Cold not no ticking ever, hot start get ticking on driver side for 5 to 10 seconds every time. Even get the ticking if I turn off key and immediately restart but it only does this if up to temp. I thought lifter at 1st, not sure now. Has done this since new, now has 11k miles (I only use it on weekends). Anyone else have this hot restart temporary ticking” ?
I love your channel man !!! I got 2021 trail boss LT. I pretty much follow how you customize your truck. Got my k@n air intake. My next one will be ready lift 2.0 sst install soon. Which city do you live. That is a nice trail. 💯 supporting your channel.
They are not sticky. You have the option to add the 3M adhesive squares, which I did to the center console insert as it falls out when you lift the storage lid. Otherwise all others sit in their areas.
Get the truck tuned and put a billet torque converter in with the superior solutions thermal bypass, which I see you did. The factory tune is garbage. I have a 6L80 and have pretty much bullet proofed it. I'm not saying it can't go out, but its less likely. (TUNE IT) !!!!
@limitedslipautomotive HP TUNE.. calibrated my speedometer to my tires, adjusted my shift points, and now my tq concerter doesn't slip. It also turned off the afm, so it stays in v8. A few more things were done also. They improved the tq/ throttle response and improved mpg. Trucks shifts so smooth, man. There are no more hard shifts at all (GREAT THROTTLE RESPONSE). I let someone who was certified to do it. It will potentially run you $400 or a little less. Im from the south, so pricing varies compared to you im sure.
lol you cannot do this without consequences. Most chevys in 2015 and up have a AMF system that runs through it. Unless you have a scanner to disable it the truck will not even idle correctly which in turn will give the MAP sensor a wrong reading. This is also runs concurrent with your transmission as well believe it or not. Might run good for a little while.
