I know this video is about 8 years old, but maybe this comment will help somebody out there. In regards to the Blu-rays for the show. Season 1 is in 4:3. But that's how it was animated and how it's supposed to look. And yes it is in HD. 4:3 and HD aren't mutually exclusive. I'm of the mindset that you should just use your TV's zoom feature if you want it in widescreen rather than trying to force crappy quality on the rest of us. Season 2, and JLU are in 16:9 widescreen. And they do look great. A huge upgrade from the DVDs. Although there is an episode in season 2 and a few shots in JLU where the resolution seems to become halved. It becomes all blurry. Now I don't know if it's an issue with the Blu-ray itself, or just my copy. I haven't seen anybody else bring it up, so it may just be my copy, but I figured I'd mention it. That being said, you should still get this lovely tin set if you can find it.
I really liked the film and I really like this review made by the Retro Goons. They are just as sincere about their work as the filmmakers were about theirs. If there's anyone we should worry about, it's the people who can't both enjoy this film, and then go to a cock-fight. Okay maybe I have this backwards, but I still know what I like 😀
What's even worse about this crap review is them saying "oh that was cool" most of the time only to show how bad their review of the game was. Terrible understanding of the game. They literally cry about not understanding the game story and say they didn't pay attention to anything they saw in the game. Don't waste your time on these guys and on this channel. This game literally spawned a cult following for an actual online remake of the game. Check that out. That was awesome. Crap review guys. Thanks for wasting my time.
Great game. Lots of love. These gents should have had a grasp of the game before playing and crapping all over it due to their ignorance. Terrible reviewers. Maybe being dumb is the shtick. Vast disrespect. Just being dumb.
I was looking on RU-vid to find people who like this movie as much as I did. Just to see if they would be in awe like I was the first time I watched this highly underrated gem. This was disappointing, guys. Why the hell would you have a channel where you talk movies if you can’t even open your mind and give something a chance. No tact, no taste, no idea. Go play some videogames.
The double sided discs are the worst part of this collection. I had to get a new set because my original one came scratched and couldn't be buffed out. Wish the complete set got separate discs. This is the main reason I will purchase a blu ray set if it comes out next year as rumored (provided it has separate discs)
The EU/UK didn't even get a shiny lacquered or laminate cover like you guys. And the shitty booklet IS totally crap compared to the Batman TAS booklet, which has animator model guides and production art over 12 pages or so! In the UK, this has been a HMV UK exclusive for four or five years and is now selling for £35.00! Alternatively, you can order this from eBay via Germany for £30.00, for example, and you'll be fine because there's multiple spoken language and SDH options to select from if you don't want to give those @#&?! at HMV 35 quid! Good review, by the way!
