I had considered that set for review but I went with the Porche GT4 instead. I just completed the build today. The review should be out soon. I am happy with this brands quality.
MuddyTD, Thank you! I like them both for different reasons. RASTAR is very accurate but not very stable. It's definitely only for display. As for MK, the set is well built, has solid construction, and has nice playablity. Good question. Thanks for the comment!
👍 Empty, I've been getting that a lot. 🤣 with my reviews, I generally use the name provided by the brand. Also, in my reviews, I will address how close it was to the real car. I'm pretty sure I left that segment out of this review cause it looked nothing like the Agera. But some builders have commented that it looks like a Lykan or Fenyr. I find it encouraging that when I get something wrong, my fellow Builders genuinely want to educate me and everyone else who reads the comments. Good eye for accuracy, and thanks for the comment!
🤣 funny you say that, I try to branch out every now and then, but there are so many speed champion like sets I will be busy for the next year and a half. I have about 13 that are already prepared for building, but I have so many others that are ahead of them. It's a good problem to have, though! 🤣
@@Looksmaxmogger that is very kind of you to say and this is a great community, so being know for something I enjoy immensely is an honor! Considering MK doesn't seem to be stopping and they are pulling many other brands into this growing SC battle, I'm pretty sure I will continue to have endless Alt SC sets to review, along with countless branch out sets! 🤣
Brian, S/H cost are generally high but I usually still save because i get at least 3 or more sets at a time, but the expect about a 2 to 3 week shipping time. If I'm only getting one set I usually check to see if its on Amazon. Happy hunting for your next build!
The wheels are a bit bright for my tastes but god dang are olive green and sand green lego cars just the best. On the topic of classic cars, have you looked into any of the aliexpress classic cars? They may not be available anymore but there were several which are minifig/speed champions scale, which is the scale that many people, myself included, prefer.
The bright green wheels are what grabbed my attentio, but green is my favorite color! And OD green on anything, here's my money!🤣 I have not seen the Aliexpress sets, but I know the last batch of speed champion size sets from Reobrix had several classics.
Woody, great question, but I actually thought you were messing with me at first. I looked at the whole speed build about twice trying to find an orange piece. then I finally looked at the instructions. When I realized what it was, it made me smile. The orange piece is the brick removal tool. Hopefully, it's not used very often, but it is helpful. I hope this answers your question.
Justin, that seems to be the consensus. I'm not sure what happened with the naming. But I will say this, it could have been on purpose. I've heard of companies' miss labeling things in order generate interest. And a lot of builders have commented on this set. Thanks for the comment!
Vanilla, great idea! I'll have to shoehorn it in somewhere. Currently, I've got a bunch of reviews I'm working on. And I would like to get to the ranking videos for the Mould King sets. I'm sure I'll eventually get to all of the cool video ideas. Thanks for the suggestion!
I see what you are saying and it would be pretty cool. but I wonder if it would take more pieces to hold it in place. Maybe it can be done as a modification? 🤔 that would be interesting if someone could make it work. Thank you for the comment.
The model is great, and the fact you can easily pull out the front to see the engine is nice touch (you can do that to the BMW M1 and Ferrari F40), and yeah the lights bother me at the front, but after looking the model up, the light location is correct, it is supposed to be the lights open on the corvette the lights would not fit in the back I don't know if the back of the model they used have grills, but the lights are correct location (the grill at the front is made of bricks so grills stickers from back wouldn't make sense at the front either)
This is an awesome looking set and I really like their attention to detail on the clear spoiler! Many of these brands are getting very good at including lots of cool details. Great insight, thanks for the comment.
i feel like the only person here commenting a year late lol, but how do you know which piece is from which bag? or am i just supposed to search for the specific piece?
Hi Ray, definitely not a year late. 😃 that's why the videos are there because builders find these alternatives brands all the time. And this is a great question. Some brands organize their bags by pieces and others organize bags by the instructions, (which is harder) I found that the Reobrix sets are organized by pieces, so yes you will have to do some searching. the search is part of the fun, right? Hope this helps, and thanks for the question.
It’s been 4 months since MK released their last wave, I hope they hurry up since they usually release waves 1-2 months between each wave Great review Ricksburg, it’s a decent build but the sticker and brick color mismatch is way too apparent, even a flaw. Solid rating The new style is ok, but I believe the screen should be larger for the video, besides that it looks decent
Interesting, you bring up Barweer. Some cool news, Barweer contacted me, they are sending at least one sample set, maybe up to 3 sets for an honest review. If you are interested, Barweer gave me a discount code that can be used for an extra percent off. Ricksburg-Barweer I always try different discount options just in case one gets me a better discount.
As a general rule, I agree. However, there is one build I did, and I like the large side panel sticker. MK SRT 27051. That set benefitted from the big side sticker. Thanks for the comment!
Pat, the instructions were short so figured I'd just scan them in real quick. here is a link to the instruction. Have a fun build! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_QZK4KKKxGw.html
Adelina, it does seem like Reobrix may have mislabeled this set. To eliminate a lot of guesswork, I tailor the review videos based on how the brand labels the set. It may not be accurate, but it is consistent. 🤔🤣 also, another Builder mentioned that it could be a Fenyr Supersport, which both look similar. Mislabeled sets have happened before, and I do appreciate when fellow Builders comment, addressing the potential error, it helps inform others, mostly me. 😊 Thank you for your comment.
Arshad, I'm not part of the brand. I generally purchase these sets like everyone else and just do reviews. Unfortunately, missing parts occasionally happen when it does, I usually recommend corresponding with the company it was purchased from. Many of these companies have either a parts replacement program or a return policy, depending on how recent the purchase. I hope this helps, and I hope you can get this resolved.
Loida, I'm no expert on locomotives, but from what I can tell, alternative brands usually make a few mistakes. I'm not sure if these misakes are true errors or if it's purpose. 🤔 Thanks for the comment!
@@CristianooooRonaldoooo I just uploaded the instructions to the FXX-K. Have fun with your build! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-blKsDoCJ-RI.html
It is actually a Lykan Fenyr 🙂 Idk why Reobrix named it “Agera”, maybe because they wanted to write something popular and eye catching. And Lykan is kind of a niche brand
It does look very similar but Reobrix labeled it Agera Blue. I thought it might be something else, that's why I didn't do a comparison part for the video. Because it didn't look like the Agera. Thanks for letting me know about the Lykan Hypersport.
I’ve recently ordered 16x Reobrix cars from Taobao, came in about $130 total including the shipping from China to Ukraine, they should arrive by the end of September. 1) 676 Ferrari 599XX Evo 2) 677 McLaren P1 GTR 3) 679 BMW X6 4) 680 Porsche 917 Living Legend 5) 682 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 6) 683 Dodge Viper ACR 7) 688 Rolls-Royce Boat Tail 8) 690 Lamborghini Urus 9) 791 Porsche 911 Carrera 10) 792 Porsche 935 11) 793 Peugeot 9X8 12) 798 Aston Martin DB12 13) 11027 Ferrari Daytona SP3 Also few very fresh releases: 14) 803 Lykan Hypersport 15) 808 Chevrolet Corvette C1 16) 809 1959 Cadillac Eldorado. I already have 8x Reobrix cars in my 8-wide collection: 1) 678 McLaren Sabre 2) 685 Bugatti La Voiture Noire 3) 686 Ferrari FXX-K 4) 687 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ 5) 689 Ferrari Purosangue 6) 795 Bugatti Vision GT 7) 805 Lykan Fenyr (yeah that’s not Koenigsegg Agera, look up Lykan Fenyr on Rebrickable and you’ll find the exact MOC this set uses) 8) 806 Lamborghini Sián FKP37 I enjoyed building those 8 very much, especially considering their ridiculous price when ordering directly from China. A month ago a batch of 20x MouldKing cars arrived. I’ve already built them, this was the best building experience of a Chinese bricks set in my life. They are much better than Reobrix in terms of brick quality, but Reobrix still offers some amazing designs which I can’t let myself sleep on 😅 Thank you for all your reviews, many of them made me reconsider some MouldKing sets, as their renders are sometimes bad and don’t let you understand the model irl is actually beautiful. Keep up the good work 🤝
DMH, Wow, that is impressive! I have never ordered that many sets at one time. I think my max order was 12 sets at one time. I have been looking at the newer minicars from Reobrix. The classic cars look nice. I've got a few more Reobrix reviews coming out, and then I'll start back on some MK sets. Thank you for your encouraging words. I hope you have a great time!!
Mr. J, there are three things that I have done in the past. First, I've checked to see if I have an extra piece from a previous set. Next, I have a few sets that were not enjoyable, and I use them for pieces. And last, if the set was recently purchased, I've contacted the seller and let them know about the missing or broken piece(s). I hope this helps.
Sam, I thought about purple as well, and it would look great! Lego also did an SRT in purple. Interestingly, my dad owned a purple Challenger when he was in his 20s. As for the electric blue, it would look awesome on the SRT! Thanks for the comment.
it looks cool but i think i prefer the Mould King one, and I also think that the Dodge Challenger looks better in black or green. Idk why they both choose the same color
@ctorresphotography typically, the bags for the Reobrix sets are not in order. I've noticed Mould King sets are getting better with their bags sort of in order. The Dodge Viper was a cool build. How was your build?
@@ricksburg it seemed to be a bit confusing at first as the pages were inconsistent with the pieces given to me. Had to sort of find my way through piecing things together to fit as expected. Only a couple times during the first 12 pages. Well that and one of the pieces for the spoiler that was supposed to be a smooth 2x1 flat piece for the top, ended up being grey.
Great review, looking forward to the Reobrix Aston Martin one This set looks really good, but the front stickers clash negatively with the lime green the car is shown, the headlights look better in person then on the box, but besides that I agree with the rating
I have been looking for a DeLoren DMC12 in this size for a while but this one won't be it eigther. The hood looks way to ugly. If i was flush with the windscreen it would be fine, but not like this.
The hood does look odd. I think design team should have fixed the hood and left out the suitcase. people would still know its based off the movies. however since it is the way it is, it might be a good mod project. Thank you for the comment.
Agree with the 3/5 stars 😂 This set disappointed me, the Venneno was amazing but the sturdiness of this one felt sub par compared to what MK is known for, and the lack of space for Lego minifigs was also a peeve.
Glad your back with the speed champions reviews, hope you checkout the latest Reobrix releases, some nice classical American car releases like fords and a corvette
Thank you, I'm glad to be back, and I'm happy to see you back in the comments! I wish this set was better. It's funny you mentioned Reobrix 😄 I just finished building the FPK 37. I'm hoping to get some Reobrix reviews out soon. I want to review the Eldorado, I don't have it yet, but maybe soon.
Agreed! They are definitely building some cool little worlds! Steampunk, Mideval, as well as sets that look like they are from the mid-20th century. The light kits are great!
Unfortunately, I didn't. The switch for the block light didn't work the way it was intended. So I just attached it to the bottom and turned it on manually. It might have worked with a slightly better design. Sorry, wish I had better news. Thanks for the comment.
