For Lumber Milling, Wood Splitting & Tractor Enthusiasts.
This channel is for those who love the outdoors and like building something from nothing while doing most of it off the grid. I will have videos making lumber, firewood, working on my camp, building outbuilding, and generally working outdoors on projects I enjoy.
In addition I will show how to make full use of the natural resources on my land that God had given me.
@NeighborlyHomestead Hey Tim. We’ll have to synch up when we are both up there. We had a good time as well but I was exhausted and decided not to go on Sunday . By the way, I missed your comment from a few weeks ago. You can get my email address from my youtube page, under "About". I avoid putting it in comments so the scammers don't use it. I didn't see you had one set up in your settings or I would have sent you an email. Jeff
Hey Jeff. It looked like a great show. Nice interview with Andrew 🇨🇦. I seen Phil and Karen in the crowd, did you get an opportunity to speak with them?
@@OpenAirAdventure I did get to see Phil and Karen. They actually interviewed me but I forgot the name of their splitter 😮Very nice people. Thanks for watching!
Yes Bob it was nice meeting you in person as well. I am glad the weather held out as well. You can't tell by the video, because it was after the rain the night before.
Hi Jeff, how's that 3039r do picking up IBC totes full of different kinds of wood? It seems to handle your bundle wood OK. (probably lighter hard woods?). How about green oak/hickory?
@@bensfirewood I don’t have any issues picking up totes. I can also pick up firewood bags holding a 1/3 cord on a pallet with no problem. I love the 3039R
Good Evening Sir, your Log Lift and Log Turn are truly OUTSTANDING 👍😇💪 That is a Top Quality Portable Wood Mill Sir That You Have 🧐👍Be Well Sir Cheers 🍻
I'm sending you a safety helmet to wear so you won't hurt your head when you bump it - LOL. Thanks for showing the sawmill (wish I had one). Stay safe.
Thanks Dave! If I was thinking ahead of time, it would have been a lot easier if we cut the slab to length before milling it. Didn’t think of it until I was editing the video. 😂
Do you still have your sawmill? Haven't seen it in a video lately. Nice bundler - first time seeing one like that. Most other wood hounds I watch use the WolfRidge or Amish bundlers. Stay safe.
Sounds good Jeff, I will check out the Channels. Thank You. PS- GET SOME INSECT REPELLENT CALLED ZEVO, CONTAINS IR3535 MUCH SAFER THAN DEET AND WORKS GREAT.
That's a beautiful log Jeff. Curious... I've heard several folks say that plain latex paint is good for sealing ends. It certainly is a lot cheaper than anchor seal! Your thoughts?
The problem I had with latex paint was when I was doing tongue and groove. When I was putting it through the shaper I ended up with blue paint specs on the wood. It was very hard getting it off. The anchor seal dries clear so I guess it depends what you are doing with the wood.
That’s a beautiful log Jeff! You are wearing the deer flies favorite color shirt! Try not to have that bright blue on your top half during their season!
That is a nice log of walnut. Appears to be really straight grained. When we lived in NJ - we had Greenhead flies that were horrible and left a welt from the bite. Okay Mr. Woodsman - now you can make a bark canoe - LOL. Stay safe.
If I put on Bug Spray they would have stayed away. The black flies do a number on my wife, leaving purple welts. I will build the canoe if you test the sea worthiness :)
