I've been looking at midsize cruisers, and the Bolt R-spec is a contender. I'll probably buy a slip-on to replace the large stock muffler. The D-S exhaust looks great in SS, but I'm not liking that you got burned on it. Probably go with a Vance&Hines muffler.
I have the same bars but mine are 14. Had to go plus 8 on the bars waiting on my spacers cause if you have the cheap rubber ones you get another death wobble on top of the existing death wobble
Hey Liam, second time watching this, 3 yrs later lol. Still have my Bolt.... Anywho, when you parked the bike and did the walk around and you mentioned the leg burn issue....... I noticed the problem. Your exhaust elbow out of the # 2 head has a long radius elbow on it, instead of a short radius one. Maybe your reseller can fix you up .... if you still have the bike ?? Stay Safe
You should wear gear bud. You’re not an idiot but trust me it’s just not worth it. A nice protective layer could save you a lot of medical debt and unnecessary injury. All love homie. Stay up.
What bars are those bro? And how tall are they? I’m 5’8 so I’m not very tall but my stock bars have me leaned a tad foward than I’d like to. And the feel a tad low.
Hey sorry for the late response.. Iv loved the new suspension. Maybe a bit stiff at times which I can adjust. I never lean enough it notice a difference with scraping
My bolt had an issue where the terminals broke off inside the battery under a plastic cover on top. Fixed it by buying a different brand of battery and using zip ties to hold the battery cables still. Yeah, randomly would shut off and sometimes would not start
How is the ride (comfort wise) I have the R spec and have to have the rears adjusted all the way to the 5th position in order to have a stiff enough ride on Michigan pot hole roads. Did you notice a better ride with these new shocks?
I would say you removed a superior shock for an inferior. Shocks that have an external reservoir are definitely better at doing there job than a single coil shock unit. Email any suspension company (eibach, tein, h&r, etc…) and ask if shocks with external reservoirs are superior or not than the standard single pistol multiport. But some people like aesthetics over function. Which is fine so long as your not going fast in corners and such. Which you shouldn’t be anyway.
@@LiamMcGuinnessVitalVentures love it I ride 2 up a lot and is really comfortable and handles really well it has a salvage title so got everything I wanted in the rebuild honestly I want both I just love the aggressive stance and ergos on the bolt
I finally bought them. And my tbr comp series full stainless steel exhaust sounds so similar to yours. My muffler is a tad shorter and I have the carbon fiber muffler tip.
Looks good sounds great but from the top that looks like it sticks out WAY far that would kill my leg I would try running the pipe backwards and make it short who knows might change the sound a little too.
I'm picking my bolt up on Sunday. I'm getting everything done to it. Ivan's ECU flash, Comando II tires, all bearings changed, Vance and hines exhaust & breather kit, Hagon shocks from the uk, Memphis 13-inch smoked faring, zr1 predators III diamond stitch 2up seat. forward controls, Yamaha brass tip hand grips. 8-inch ape hangers. The bike is going to look amazing. Can't wait to join the bolt community and start making videos.
