I dont think the speed setting is supposed to stop it from clicking at a certain swing speed. It is supposed to make it so the click happens at the optimal time (when the ball is struck on a perfectly timed swing). So if you had it set to 60mph and swung at 100, the click would happen too early and give you inaccurate feedback. I wish the promotional material would focus more on how to actually use it and interpret the clicks vs just telling you OVER AND OVER how much better it will make you. Thanks for the video. It's good to finally find a real person reviewing this product.
Props for the store going full yacht rock playlist. Also crazy that Cobra works as well as it does with the short shaft. Gotta get a good fitting if you want to play your best.
Curious to hear others thoughts, but isn't the goal of the click stick to get it to click at the right time? I.e. not just getting a click. This feels similar to the toilet paper roll drill where the goal is to get the tp to slide down the club at the right time (not just slide down the club in general)
Not gonna lie, a little bummed out that it hasn't improved the game that much. My sole purpose of dropping 5-6k on a sim system was to drive my game down to scratch over the winter months.
Just pick these guy up. One thing I noticed was that they seemed to be pretty versatile with the grind. Also they are very soft feeling. You can even hear that in the video. Definitely need to play a month or so but first impressions seems like a very good wedge.
I just ordered one on Amazon, it's called the Click Stick now. I went with Amazon because they have a good return policy so if it doesn't work as advertised or is faulty, I can return it with no hassles. I have watched and read many mixed reviews for it and it seems like there is definitely a divide between people that really like it or think it is a total waste of time. I'm enough of a high handicap player that I'll try anything, will see how it goes!
Definitely a bonus it being on Amazon now. A few people commented previously about how the return process was a bit difficult. Hope you find some success with it! Cheers!
I'm not saying the +4 isn't better for you cuz it is, but I woulda liked to see you got back to the stock weight one last time to reassure the differences. In these kind of test video's all across youtube the "tested" product always goes last and I feel like being warmed up/even more warmed up potentially helps. Nice vid tho!
Yeah totally fair. I’m always somewhat worried about video length and carrying on a bit too long. Especially for just some dude in his garage, haha. But yeah makes total sense. I’ll keep that in mind in the future. Cheers!
Kramer was golfing in the ocean and plugged a whales blow hole with a titleist golf ball . George , while impersonating a marine biologist saved the whales life . Then Jerry George Kramer and Elaine all went out and hit 500 titleist golf balls . They all hit green too.
It would seem to me that the CONCEPT is solid. When done properly, every persons swing has a maximum speed. If that speed is selected using slider adjustment as the break point (not the gauge, that's just a decal), when the speed of the "top magnet stop" reaches a predetermined speed, the weight of the washer exceeds the ability of the magnet to hold it and it clicks. When the magnet is closer to your hands, the magnet itself is moving slower. As a user moves the magnet further from the grip, the magnet is moving faster and magnet lose the fight at a slower hand speed. Makes perfect sense. My question to you is; "is your swing speed identical when too far inside, on plane and over the top? From a physics perspective, I would think that the max speed will always be higher when there aren't other forces preying on speed (like pushing the club from the inside or flipping it from the top to come outside in) and that the issue with the recorded portion of your test might be a reliance on the gauge over the physics. My sense is (I don't have one of these but I ordered one because now I want to know), that the goal would be to create a control. A magnet placement at which you have to swing REALLY HARD to get the washer to release and then back it down the shaft in small adjustments until you get to a spot where it only releases if the club is on plane at a speed you are comfortable swinging. Thank you for making me think.
I had the same issue with it not unlocking the next stage. Annoyed me a lot because I feel like doing hip high swings for 30 minutes didn't really do a ton for me, but I finally got a huge streak and couldnt figure out how you "pass" and move to the next stage. I need to try mine more, it mostly sits in the box, and I too am a bad ugly flipper
Agreed, I was able to force unlock the next sections. But, it just kind of made me feel as if I was doing something wrong or perhaps didn't complete the drills correctly. Been playing a lot, but going to definitely get some more reps in with it along the way. Cheers!
Nice! That has actually been my swing thought recently also... "Compress the stupid ball Kyle...." haha. Definitely going to get some more practice in, but the weather is turning amazing so playing a bit more now. Cheers!
I did not. After using it and seeing the design it was pretty clear this has little to no feedback for swing plane itself. Which is probably why it’s been rebranded. Cheers!
So I really think this is for people who don't know "how" to release the club. With u being a better golfer u can make any swing and still make it click because u understand the release part. Not defending the product, and btw, this video kept me from buying one as well. Thank you for that. I would like to see if u tried to cast from the top if it would make the click. Great video!
Yeah, totally fair! But their initial branding and marketing for this wasn’t focused on timing and release. It was swing plane and club face control through the grip trainer. Cheers!
You gotta good swing buddy. Need a lesson to fine tune your downswing. Coming over a touch, need a longer arch moving inside a little and stick out your pevis toward your target at the top and fire down the line or right of target. Hopefully it helps buddy. Play well 😊
I can so relate to the case of the lefts....driver, fw, irons...heck even my chip shots. My sympathies.... I just had a Titleist fitting and the fitters look was just so discombobulated. 🤣
Ehh video doesn’t always tell all the truth. My path was 1-3 in to out, but I struggle with face control and obviously impact location. Nonetheless, switching from tsr3 to the cobra was usually 800 less spin prior to this fitting. That’s my experience at least. Thanks for the feedback. Cheers!
Just for reference with the move to the new GT3 I saw about a 15 yard carry gain with better spin on miss hits as well over my silly Cobra Radspeed setup. A few shots in there that was totally user error. On course review video whenever it arrives! Be sure to subscribe! Cheers everyone!
That's what I wanted to see. Just a no bs review. Your first video was plenty, but between this one and your original I won't be getting this product. Back to the grind 🤣
