I take the time to research all the upcoming updates or what is going on at the moment to save you time and I hope enjoy them.
Loved the vid! I'm getting back in to WoW after about 10 years, and forgot how much I loved it. What plugins are you using? I really liked the clean UI you had created.
So I have tons of addons and if there is a specific part you can point out to me then I can give you the addon but I do also have a UI video from earlier this expansion which has had a few changes but overall very similar to my current UI/addons
Getting glad is 0.5% and 3k is around 5% so pretty poor comparison. I have pvp'd in the past and might in TWW but both are challenging in their own right
I really appreciate how humble and actually aware the commentary is. So many people put a lot of blame on others but no matter what you do in life, you will get really at good at things with this mindset! Very refreshing to watch
Thank you! I completely agree that mindset can make a massive difference and I think it would be a bit dishonest to not show the true experience in pugging while also realizing that there is always more you can do to improve instead of assigning blame
I think this would be a good change up to allow players that have learned from this series to take it even further past 3k so I'll keep this in mind and see if I can make it work. Thanks man!
You play preservation that requires knowledge of dungeons to set up your healing before dmg comes out. As shown in the clips you are not prepared at all. People die from simple mechanic because you just stood there and didn't even have a single echo out.
If you give me a specific timestamp then I can give some reason for what I was doing. I definitely make plenty of mistakes which is the entire point of the series, if I showed myself timing every key and nobody dying it is not only boring but pretty dishonest to what learning a new class/role is actually like. I do think my score being where it is, is not bad at all for like I said learning a entirely new role but I appreciate the criticism
For the 2nd to last boss in HoI echoed spiritbloom are your best friend utilizing that with the reduced cooldown talent for spiritbloom you will notice yourself having more CDs at your disposal. Echoed spiritblooms are cranking right now and having it every 20 seconds lines up nicely with all the different damage effects.
This is a great point since I find this fight can be a bit unique because of the fact that there is more rot than basically any other fight so you can't solely rely on your big cooldowns so spiritbloom can help smooth out the damage and fill gaps between your cds. I will keep an eye out for that talent. Thanks!
Almost there!!! Get it bro! I know TWW looks kinda dookie right now but I hope you keep the content flowing for dudes who just like to watch this stuff in some downtime.
Not sure why you commented this twice lol. It makes 0 difference considering it wasn't linked to my main account score wise. The name is would literally make 0 difference since there is no way for anyone to confirm that this is the same person even IF they recognize my name which is unlikely
Overall I would recommend playing Resto druid or MW Monk over a Pres Evoker but I believe you can get any spec to 3k as long as you are consistent and always looking to improve. Pres does good healing numbers but can lack ways to prevent one shots as the keys get harder
Yes, the veterna neck is better with biss stats, because you dont have main stat on neck. Usualy ilvl is king because of main stat, neck and ring are exceptions.
As a tank only player, I personally look at my Heals To Self vs Damage Taken and Heals Revieved, Damage Mitigated and also Overhealing. Utility use (Depending on class) and lastly is damage. Normally for pug groups I focus on self healing so the healer can heal the rest of the group heavier incase, normally I am on par with healing as the healer if I have a class that has self healing. <3 Always happy to talk more if you want ^.^
I would recommend never buying the Evoker staff for preservation because the effect is so much worse for both Augmentation and Preservation compared to Devastation. You would be much better off just buying the weapon from Fyrakk, it does way more damage. And for the afflicted, you can't do two afflicted everytime because it doesn't happen every minute, but around 45 ish. But if you're a Shaman you can pretty much solo them with totem.
Didn't know about shaman soloing both so that is pretty cool but from most sources I found like the evoker discord for example it was evoker lego > evoker staff > everything else
Thank you, it's definitely something I've noticed as well so somethin to work on. I believe if I remember correctly the other evoker didn't really use their cauterize
I would suggest instead of the Fortune Cookies, you go for the Deviled Eggs since those can be used in keys while you cant use Fortune Cookies in them since it loots you an item and you cant loot in M+.
Listen to the ellesmere interview in quazii unplugged. He talks about how UI is something he wish he would’ve cared about sooner. You have a lot of unneeded information on your screen.
To be honest, I'm pretty happy with my UI at the moment and while playing I rarely feel like any part is obsolete but I am also a dps main so most of my UI is focused on things gear towards that
Some other advice from a pres main. I use disintegrate even on higher key levels often. Also, I noticed you don't always full charge your fire breath. Even in single target, you should pretty much always fully charge your fire breath for the leaping flames buff. Even if the leaping flames overheal, you are still getting more essence burst which translates to more healing and damage.
I'm a pres evoker main. I prefer a good mix of mastery, crit, and vers, so it may be good to move some mastery to crit for diminishing return issues. Just don't be baited into haste. It's not very good
Also don't undervalue the power of leech. It's sad to see only 3% leech on your char. Leech has really strong synergy for pres evoker. It works on both your healing and damage and grants you a ton of passive healing. The more you passive heal yourself, the more likely your mastery will function as desired. I'm at nearly 15% leech now (ilvl 520, sacrificing some minor ilvl to get it).
Thanks for the insight. I will probably swap over to Crit and see how that goes. The synergy between leech and mastery is pretty interesting and I definitely would be running more leech but haven't had any drop yet unfortunately
This is true but the player themself asked if somebody else was from OCE and the term is generally used to include any server with large latency differences from NA
I was in the key myself and the player is from Ragnaros and they said "any server oce here?" to try to figure out why they were lagging so bad. I don't know what reason I would have to lie about it xD
At 3:12 you were talking about not getting a keystone on the vault because you did 0's. However the panda to the right outside of the bank can give you a keystone without the need to do a 0 btw. She has "Mythic Keystones" under her name, just talk to her.
There is still about 3-4 months before the next expansion is expected to release so right now is a good time to learn the game since this current season is mostly for fun and to do crazy stuff. If you are more interested in the new content then it makes lots of sense to wait for it to be released to join
Questionablyepic works the same as raidbots for healing instead of dps, and it can go granular as to the expected hps increase it would give you, alongside also giving competitive choices - uses simc like raidbots does
oh thats really funny, i was the guardian druid, i just joined to finish my weekly lol. excited to see how this new series will go, pres evoker is very challenging!
As far as faults go for not timing keys and what not. There are a lot of factors but logs never lie, having a group that knows when to use defensives and interrupt manage cooldowns . tank positioning and def CD's as well. Usually the fail is going to stem from failure to interrupt or use personals on the dps player side. Usually if its the tanks fault its very clear same with healers. And healers also get a lot of shit even if they play perfectly. Its an easy route to blame tank and heal for everything.pugging can get rough on high keys without coms. In a pug never feel bad about leaving when you know it won't happen . your there for IO if u can't get it then its wasted time. I know this is an unpopular opinion but meh. If it lessens chances of those people playing with me its whatever I'd rather not play with people not on the same level anyways.
Nice improvement your doing very well considering your not used to tanking. Managing HP better and cool downs for efficiently. You shouldn't have to WOG yourself at all but that's a problem with your healer mostly. But you'll be blamed for dying in most cases even if it wasn't exactly your fault. I only use WOG on myself if I know 100% the healer can't get me and there are times were they blame me for dying on a normal sized pack based on them thinking I should keep myself alive but SOR is more important and as a tank I shouldn't have to be tasked with using most HP on healing myself, its an armor decrease and a DPs decrease and a lot of time I refuse to drop SOR to keep myself alive when the healer is in perfect shape. Using your defensives more actively and abilities on a better rotation will increase your dps drastically. I'm bursting over 500k and single 150k on my prot pally. Also you should never have to wait for healer mana. A healer is tasked with managing there mana pool and unless something crazy pops off they should be good the entire run. Many healers don't take the 2secs between pulls to get even just a tick of mana back by drinking and that's a fail on there part.
