Have you ever camped at Kirk Creek/Lucia campgrounds? I can't remember if they had any services there, but the views were beautiful up on the cliffs of Big Sur.
@@FDJT-47 We haven’t been able to make reservation for that campground yet since we can only go on weekends. We did drive into the campground to check it out. Beautiful view 🤗I don’t think there is any service there.
I stayed at Lake Cachuma once when I failed to reserve a camp spot at the beach. I slept in a hammock hung between oak trees. The racoons were fiesty there. I felt something bumping my butt 3 times as I slept. I woke up to see 3 large racoons passing under me to go raid the nearby trashcan. 😂 My dog slept through the whole thing.
@@FDJT-47 I remember when we camped there with our kids many years ago in a tent. We used to hear noises at night too outside of our tent even though we put the food away.
Great video! Will the LavaBox fit in the bag with the quick connect adapter attached? Or do you have to remove the quick connect adapter to be able to fit in the bag? Thanks!
I remember playing on the giant sand dune when I was young. Our little dog ran down the dune to chase a semi truck and came inches from getting squished. I also remember being able to tent camp along that stretch too.

Great video!! We will be there for a week this month. We usually beach camp by Ventura and Carpinteria areas so I am unfamiliar with Malibu side. We finally upgraded to a new and bigger rig but will not be towing another vehicle. So our other transportation will be just e-bikes. Are there grocery stores nearby that we could ride the bikes to? Is the water calm enough to do paddle boarding? You mentioned spigots- will they allow us to refill our fresh tank with it? I'd prefer not to travel with a full fresh tank(55 gal) if water is available in the camp site. Name of hiking trail? How far is it from the campground? Thank you for posting this video!

When you stay at Thornhill Broome campground you have free access to adjacent campground nearby Sycamore campground. You can fill your water and dump over there. You can bike to Sycamore campground and the trails are in there. Enjoy your time there 🤗

I am also hoping we could use our inflatable SUP/kayak paddle board when water is calmer. Definitely bring a kite I bought a year ago from Costco. Lol. We will probably use Uber or Lyft to go to a nearby bar if there is one. That is if the fare is reasonable. We were in Hobson Beach campground two weekends ago. The fare is almost $70 one way to downtown Ventura on Main street. Geez. That is only about 10 miles via bike path. Oh well.

Apart from an 8" survivor knife, stun gun, mace, and machete, I added a Bruni New Police 9mm Pak blank pistol (very loud) and a .50 cal Umarex TR50 Paintball Revolver paintball airgun to my RV arsenal. Both are non-lethal and under $100. I also added on each side of the RV solar motion sensor LED lights and have an intruder alert. Remember even if you do not have a gun you can bluff "Go away I am armed with a gun.".
@@Adis-yn8vo Some rearview camera have the built-in dash camera, but ours have a separate camera that we are able to connect into the windshield via 3m tape which connect directly into the rearview mirror.
@@Adis-yn8vo Thanks, We have that also and used it for a few months before putting in this rear view mirror. We didn’t know how to run the wire inside our van and didn’t want to damage a brand new van so the Mid City was much easier to install. 😂

I've been following your channel for a while as we were considering either an interstate or a pleasureway ascent. They are both beautiful but we just purchased an ascent. The decision came down to availabilty and price. The ascent came with similar window shades for the front windows. The front windshield is easy to install but I'm having difficulty getting the side window coverings to stay in place without manipulating them. It's as though the magnets are just slightly off. Otherwise they seem like they are very good quality. I look forward to watching more of your videos for tips as the vehicles are very similar. Our first purchase will be the floor mats that you have for the front. I like how they lay nice and flat. I think the weather tech ones would bulge and curl at the lip (we have them in our outback) Do you have a link for the phone holder on your console? It seems as though it would work for the ascent

At that time it was way over budget for my husband so we ended up with the Roadtrek and then my brother backed out from his AI19 so we took over his order. Lol My husband has to open the front door in order to make the shade fits then close the door. If he doesn’t open the door then the shade doesn’t fit too well. You can try that way too for your shades. We love the floor mat because it stays flat and doesn’t move around at all. You will like it. Thanks for the in depth walk around/walk thru tour. We are currently contemplating changing out our Airstream globetrotter to a 24GT for the convenience and mobility that class B’s offer and really appreciate these types of videos.

@@BamBamRVAdventures My routine is check that breakers are off, plug in surge protector, turn on breaker and check LED lights to confirm that power is good to go. I have a 2019 Interstate and the lounge doesn't exactly align with the 2 seats and the cushions are more firm than the lounge as well. We've done everything we can to create an even bed surface but had to resort to rigid foam pieces to create better alignment. This means that most of the time we leave our bed made. I have 2 pads that I lay side by side however, as you mentioned, they don't stay in place all that well because the bottom sheet moves. I'm wondering if the memory foam gives you additional support? I'm actually looking at spending the $400 for the Airstream Memory Foam mattress made for the interstate but it cannot be returned and I haven't been able to find any reviews. I'm wondering if you ever had a chance to sample theirs? 🙂
@@Shantamji Thanks for watching. We tried the 2”from Amazon but it wasn’t as comfortable as our King size that we have extra from home. My sister in law bought an 8” memory foam mattress from Costco for her AI24. Now she is very happy. It’s always in bed mode since they can use the table up front.
Great job and video! Had I watched your video, I would have tried to install the same spare tire carrier. Your installation looks neat and free of backup sensor interference. I’m currently using a carrier on a swing-away hitch adapter. The spare tire is covered by a soft cover. The drawback is backup sensor beeping sounds. However, it’s convenient to take down spare tire. It’s also easy for adding a cargo carrier without taking down the spare tire.
As someone that’s from Alaska and not a city slicker and I’m really a country boy there’s no way I can camp like that next to people and everywhere I camp here in Alaska. It doesn’t cost anything.

@@bobanddangsjourney we definitely lucked out with that campsite for last minutes booking. We were planning to van life for a few weeks but then Central Valley is too hot…..Lol We ended up hotel life…and rental home life for the next 2 months. 😂😂Have a great summer camping 🤗
