Sodem and Gomarah. The youths of today are destroying something that is as old as their great grandparents. They have no idea how or why there is a carnival in the UK! Carnival was started in 1959 by Claudia Jones to unite us West Indians that suffered. The Windrush is to be celebrated. We came here to build this country which was destroyed after World War 2. Although the British didn’t like us due to our education and skills, our parents continued to make Britian Great again and create a home for their children and grandchildren, but the youths of today have been brought up with no morals or values. They have no idea how fortunate they are in comparison to what we endured back in the day when we fought to be who we are today. It matters how we as black people have tried to instill discipline in our children but without the rod of correction they will never amount to anything if they carry on humiliating themselves and us like that. We will evolve and continue to represent what my parents did for me and our children. I’m ashamed as a mother in my 60’s to watch my black peoples make a fool of themselves, because they have no care or respect for themselves and their peers. It’s only for 2 days a year and look how these younger generations have represented their parents, grandparents and great grandparents. Utterly disgraceful and disgusting. Very shameful indeed.
