I actually love that you ended the month sandbagging a club championship. That, was a proper plot twist. Were you playing rounds entered into your HC during the month, or just first round in a month?
I was enjoying the content, and then you mention the golf guru, Golfsidekick.. yep i subscribed straight away.. when i started 7 years ago i was a 50 handicap, now an 8...
The 7 iron chip shot on that lie is such a good idea. Immediately thinking back to a round I had where I was 160 out and had a lie with ball lower than me and a sliced it so far right I ended up with a 7. Prob could have bumped it and made bogey.
In case you want to drop another shot or two, read Percy Bommer's On Learning Golf, 1942, chapter 'On putting'. All others too: read that book if you want to understand your own swing!
Great info dude...thankyou... Re 30 ft drill...i use two drills...from tim gellwey Looking at the hole And...closed eyes doing the guess where the ball goes before opening eyes... Thanks again
I cant subscribe. You play terrible. your partner is also terrible. its ok you have bad swing. You cant be bad with chip pitch and putting. Change coach
2:04 yes hit back of green IF flag is in back. On small greens yes, some of courses I play have 40m long greens with big swales and slopes, so if flag is at front of a big sloping green, being at back is certain 3 putt, so GIR is irrelevant, which means might be better to hit to front edge and chip up .
I watched your videos for the first time yesterday. I noticed something about your swing which is what I would describe as a hard left exit after contact, if you get what I mean. Club path after contact exiting left. I thought about this on the range today and tried more than I would normally do to do this. Real improvement to strike. Thanks. 👍
Hiya Andy it’s the first time I have seen you, what a lovely refreshing video, down to earth and simple to understand and learn from thank you lol r&g x
It's frustrating how good golfers think the rest of us just don't get it. We all know to hit the right club and clean the ball, doesn't help my horrible swing
Until I can confidently make solid contact every time and the only thing I have to worry about is club choice and wind I don't even keep score. I only play for solid shots. If I hit it solid and it felt good I'm happy no matter where it ends up.
Im liking this channel very much , i’d just like to say that about half way through you chipped a seven rather than leather a wedge , thats a good play but its important for me that those lay up shots are properly targeted and focused on as much as a shot into a green . Too many times ive just taken those for granted and either hit into a crap area , gone way offline or even fatted or thinned them because basically im not committed to anything and my brain gives me nothing in return 🤷🏻♂️
Brilliant concept . Can I copy it ?! I’m 62 and I’m kind of a part time professional golfer!!! I do work as a golf host on a golf course 2 days a week!!!! Professional golfer is obviously a bit tongue in cheek in my case, but it is a job that I get paid for
