Hi Michael, what a very nice guitar you build again is there a schedule of the wiring you used ? I"m not sure I'm doing it the wright way greetings Mario from the Netherlands
Hey, new sub here. Your tobacco burst is truly fetching. I might have made some other choices with other parts of the guitar, for instance I would have made the sides of the body almost ebony black, and gone with a glossier varnish but there’s not question about quality of your careful work. And I am glad there are kits so different choices can be made. Sounds great, too! Cheers.
You make me say "I wish I played well enough to build guitars"! 🤣 I LOVE the sound of this riff. You keep me jamming, and I'm building my 5th CBG! Hmm, now I clearly see that I need a Truck Guitar...
Hey Johnny, I have never used one before, but if you decide to try it use my affiliate link www.cbgitty.com/SF and promo code SOUTHERNFIRE and get 10% OFF your whole order. 😀
Hi Michael, at first I have to make sure that you don't get me wrong. This build is, in my opinion, another masterpiece! Looking very good, brilliant solutions for the technical details, wonderful sound! What more to say?! Nothing, than a question: Why was it not possible to turn the sliding top of the box in the oposite position? Where is the mistake in my thinking?
Thanks Klaus, I thought about the turn the top around thing, but then you still wouldn't be about to install the pickup and slide the top in place because of the pickup wire, AND you would not be able to take the top off unless you removed the strike plate. 😎
@@SouthernFireGuitars Oh yes, the wire 🤦♂️! Thanx for your quick response. I have a smal box from Davidov (with a thiner sliding top). Maybe it will become (one fine day) an Ukulele with a magnetic pick up. We will see. Other thing have more priority at the moment unfortunately. Kind regards from good old Germany to the swamp.
You are the best teacher on the web ❤️ So, could I request that you do more lessons for us novices who DONT have all the electronic equipment? I followed your hammer on technique but it just doesn't get the bang in acoustic. Help us novices please . 🙏
Your fly-by was too shaky when sped up. Couldn’t really see it’s awesomeness. It’s just like My backside 😏. “It sure is Purdy, and I too can squeeze a tune out of it” 😁
That guitar is awesome.... You do amazing work. ... I have a question... I have Jack Daniels metal tin box about the same size that I've been wanting to make a guitar from. With it being metal would putting a pickup inside the box like you did work or would it being metal interfear with the strings being picked up? I'm afraid to cut the box in any way until I know for sure what I can or cannot do. Thanks
Thanks Geoff, I think that pickup would work in a tin box, it may amplify the whole top though. You may try adding a thin piece of ply wood under the top, so the pickup magnet isn't in direct contact with the lid. Here's a video of a Jack Daniels tin I built, it may give you some ideas. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-L8AWrTe0h3Q.html
What a fraud. When I asked this chump to build a guitar out of a preferred box he said in an email: "I only build with my own materials. Kick rocks". I have the email to prove it. Big Joker, this Chump.
