I think gamers tend to underestimate how good of a value last gen consoles are while having their eyes glued to the newest and greatest. The PS4 Pro and Xbox One X are great value for the money on the used and international market. There is always a time after a console leaves the limelight and before it becomes "retro" where you can get the games and platform for cheaper as the market is flooded with people who have upgraded or want to and we are definetly in that time for the PS4, and XBone.
I agree with you. You know, seven years ago I was supposed to get the pro but the store has no available so I picked the slim instead. My gameplays should immerse more but I've been enjoying my slim so far. On second thought, I got a PS5.
It’s an amazing console don’t listen to everyone else. Yea it doesn’t have the instant load times like the 5, but it’s still much better than the regular ps4 and definitely the Xbox one. I want this to be one of my gifts for my 21st birthday.
I started off with the sega mega drive had fifa international on it when I got the original PlayStation 1 fifa 96 on there was a lot better than the mega drive so I’ve always brought the latest PlayStation the 4 was my last & current hadn’t turned it on for 2 years & I haven’t got a 4k tv downloaded FC24 for £13.99 from the the store & was amazed at how good the gameplay is & the graphics
I did exactly the same thing this year. A Pro tip is to replace your thermal paste with a thermal grizzly Carbonaut thermal pad. You have most likely already done this by now. I have really enjoyed the FF7 remake, Nex Machina, Matterfall, Tactics Ogre, Medievil(PS1 game remake), Street Fighter 30th anniversary collection, Shovel Knight, Astronite, Slain, Valfaris, Ratchet and Clank, Gravity Rush Remastered, Gravity Rush 2, Spiderman, Borderlands 3, Little Big Planet 3, Bloodborne, Axiom Verge. Yeah no need to go buy a PS5 for a while yet. I'm looking to purchase one if the whole economy dies and they go on sale for really cheap. Otherwise I am going to wait for 3-4 years. I also have a fairly decent Gaming PC, so I really dont see the need. The only reason I can see for wanting a PS5 at this point is to run PS4 games better, and the PS4 Pro already does a great job of that.
I can play most ps4 era games on my steam deck, but I’m thinking of getting a jailbroken ps4, so I can play UFC mostly, but also to collect all the single player games I don’t want to download.
Ive had a few ps5 consoles and im just not a hardcore gamer.. i also have a high end gaming laptop so i I just bought a ps4 pro for 120$ us dollars to play some of the many many ps4 games that havent played yet. I wasn't all that impressed with ps5 exept for the fast load times.
Even as a non-casual gamer it's still a good buy. I bought both XBSX and PS5 on launch month and realised this week that I've only touched the pS5 once in 3 months. So I have just sold it for £70 less than I bought it for 3 years ago which is mental. Won't miss any of the PS5 games but will miss some of the great PS4 Sony exclusive titles, so going to pick up a used PS4 Pro for around £150 (which is what brought me here). So enjoy and thanks for the vid.
I got a free ps4 pro trading up from my launch model ps4 I brought it without a hardrive and loud fan noise I fixed it up ssd installed and overdid it on the cooling so I would say it’s near world record decibel level. And yeah I’m using it currently and I’m very happy with it.
It’s crazy how silent it is after a good dust cleaning, thermal paste renewal, and ssd install. My Pro is literally silent. More silent than my PS4 Slim.
Hey there 😊 It's a Bontrager rear rack which is clamped onto a seat post mount. I asked my local bike shop to fit it all so I'm unsure on the specifics
Yep did the same thing mate and I had it updated now it's the same as a ps5 so that upgrade cost me $200 onto of my purchase and saved me atleast $350, so why buy a ps5😂my friends have ps5's and they couldn't believe that it's basically exactly the same as there ps5's in graphics, and loading and everything else a ps5 can do lol😂😅👍cheers🍻
I haven't had a new PS since the PS2. So over the course of around 15 years I never got a new console until now. As an adult once I started making some money on my own I decided to get a PS5. To be fair I did not really put much thought into it, I just saw it for 500 Euros (digital version) and it had God of War Ragnarok bundled. I just went ahead and bought it. I love it and it does the job for me although I would've preferred to have the disk drive, not that I have any PS4 games or anything, but if I found any disks for cheap I could get em. But in any case the PSN does some really good discounts (you can literally get God of War 2018 for $10 right now) and I make sure to buy any game that I want to play. The only downside is that the storage is too small for the massive downloads. Most games are around 70-90GB
Wanna play new games? Then you shouldn't even think twice and wouldn't even consider PS4 today. Just buy PS5 and be up-to-date as long as you don't want an extra console for the nostalgia.
I'm a big xbox player, love that economy system. But I've never owned a ps4.... saw online that you can find used ps4pros for anywhere from $100-200. I think i might take the plunge and buy one to play all of those exclusives I've been missing out on. Doesn't ps + have a bunch of them ?
True i see no point in ps4 pro if you already have ps5 and a 4k tv. Only way i would get the pro is if your current ps4 failed and you dont wanna tamper with it by taking it apart or sending it in. I got a brand new ps4 for 300$ i couldve swapped the HD but no point when the hardrive failed and you cant retrieve the data from it. I never thought about backing it up to the ps plus cloud. But oh well i got a new ps4 for just over 300$ brand new and got most of my data back from the cloud. Imo if your ps4 breaks it might be worth it to get a new ps4 before they get discontinued. Tampering with those consoles is a pain in the ass unless your experienced with and really know what your doing but just my opinion. My ps4 was original launch day ps4 from 2013 and just yesterday it went into safe mode tried troubleshooting but im like forget it im not an expert at console repairs haha
Totally agree. I just picked one up in near new shape with 3 controllers, 9 games (most of which I'll be trading off after I play) and a headset, etc for $300. Looks great on my 4k TV... and there's a huge library of mind-blowing games I've never played for a fraction of the price as getting a PS5, one controller and a digital game. I'm good on a PS5 for at least 3 years.
I was a long time Xbox Call of Duty O.G., but I got my 9 yr old son a PS4 Pro about 2 years ago along w/ PSVR, Aim controller, steering wheel, HOTAS flight stick, and Move controllers. It's been a blast, and Call of Duty MWII 2023 plays and looks WAY better than my Xbox One S, and the ADS Gyro controller option within MWII is absolutely insane when sniping if setup right IMO. Great content Thomas. Cheers!
I love this video and agree with you 100%. Ps5 is really that system you can just skip. Like iPhones or cellphones now you can really hold on to what you have and it’ll last for so many years. Ps4 is very much future proof like there’s no reason for me to switch over. Only if it was given to me for free but like even that I wouldn’t want it it’s too big
I've never owned a ps4 pro although I wanted to for a while since I knew it ran games better than the ps4 slim which I had since it came out, ps4 pro has better visuals and frame rate than the base ps4. You've got many great games to try out, playstation accumulated such a massive exclusive titles.
