I got my PS4 Pro from a coworker after he said that his son couldn't figure out why it didn't want to load up the screen, it kept going thru the safe mode loop. I later found out that his son dropped it but showed no signs of cosmetic damage. So I ran diagnostics on it and told him that it might have to be sent off for repairs and he just told me to keep it, I managed to find out that his hard drive was shot. I then replaced it with a 2TB hard drive and viola! Works like new! I went as far as cleaning the entire console, inside and out, and replaced the thermal paste. It is whisper quiet now.
An amazing deal! Better deal than mine ha I might look to swapping out the Hard Drive for an SSD at some point. All they need is a little love and care and they still play like new!
@@thomaswightwick Turn Supersampling on. It wont be quiet anymore. The fans work to keep it cool. If its too silent all the time that would worry me. My gaming desktop sounds like a airplane when loading up heavy GPU games. So i'm pretty much used to the fans. Sense it does come with like 14 fans inside it xD
I’ve had a ps4 pro since launch day in 2016 the things like a jet i put new thermal paste and cleaned it but it’s still kinda loud i got a PS5 and a Xbox series X and a Nintendo switch and i just use the PS4 pro for Netflix in the bedroom the fan still kicks on loud just doing that lol when i first got it in 2016 it wasn’t loud
Underrated comment!! You are so on point, and Sony could even make it a bit smaller as tech is always evolving. Not only that but Sony could place the Pro in a position just like the Xbox Series S is, and keep releasing games for PS5 AND PS4 Pro, while leaving behind the PS4. Sadly Sony is leaving behind the PS4 Pro and treating it just like a standard PS4 market wise, which is disappointing really.
right now my country is going through terrible inflation, just buying a PS4 rather than a PS5 will leave you regretting your option when someday the inflation stops and the lira starts deflating
I’m a Casual-Gamer to and I own a PS4 Slim and would say, that the Slim is enough. I have also a 4K TV and for me, the Picture Quality ist good. I have no issues with that. I sold my PS4 Pro in 2019 because it’s getting very loud although I cleaned them regularly. Than I bought the Slim and since than, it’s more quiet when I play. 1080p/30fps is completely fine for me. I’m not that technical gamer. But yes, the PS4 is a great console with many many great Games. Especially if you want to catch up with this generation, the PS4 is perfect to have fun. Also because the games are very cheap.
the ps4 pro is amazing , especially when you upgrade the HDD to SDD and do a good cleanup with a thermal paste replacement , upgraded mine a year ago and it launches and loads games much faster and stays quiet even on warzone 2.
I have the same idea about the PS4 Pro, it's a budget console, it has cheap games and it's still powerful. I bought mine in 2021, I also found it on the Facebook market place, so I removed all the dust inside, changed the thermal grease and started playing, it's awesome. I am thinking of buying a 1Tb sata SSD soon.
The PS4 Pro is certainly not a bad console to buy even now, and I would easily get it over the base PS4 which Sony bizarrely made more of. It also looks so much better than the PS5 in my opinion. That triple slate design is definitely a classic. However, the downside is that you're getting lower graphical settings (usually 30fps for most games), and you'll be missing out on next-gen exclusives. But for the price it's still a very good deal.
I think they were just releasing slim models then pro version since a few years then last year because the slim is cheaper to make because it uses smaller wiring as well as the pro just being all aroundvgood during this cross gen phrase that's been ongoing since the ps5 launch to now just ending 2023.
tbf, the guy said he is a casual, so he might not care as much about fps as you or I, and if he were to get a PS5, he will probably get one in a few years once they go down in price and there are some real good games out
I've own a playstation 4 pro glacier white console 1Tb, Sony playstation 5 disc model, as well I've own a Sony playstation ps Vita 1000 black model 🤑 I've can't seem to calibrate/ my Sony playstation ps Vita console to my Sony playstation 4 pro console...could anyone give me some tips or hints ? As well would or do I have to have a Sony playstation Vita SIM card to get started I already have a official sony 8gig memory card, SSD holder a 64mb memory card as well (could anyone please send me more information about the Vita I was enjoy to play my playstation 4/5 games on my Sony playstation Vita!!!!!!🙏🤑
I own a PRO and a PS5 and the PRO is boxed and in the loft. The PS5 is on another level, plus it plays ps4 games and is silent which is bliss. Finally, the dual sense controller is so much better than the DS4 controller. My PRO was great, don’t get me wrong but ps5 utterly blows it away.
Even as a non-casual gamer it's still a good buy. I bought both XBSX and PS5 on launch month and realised this week that I've only touched the pS5 once in 3 months. So I have just sold it for £70 less than I bought it for 3 years ago which is mental. Won't miss any of the PS5 games but will miss some of the great PS4 Sony exclusive titles, so going to pick up a used PS4 Pro for around £150 (which is what brought me here). So enjoy and thanks for the vid.
2 models of the PS4 Pro exist: 2016 model and the 2018 model. The easiest way to tell is by looking at the plug for the power supply . The 2018 version has the 2 pronged port and cord, while the 2016 version has a house shaped monitor styled cord.
@@ot9523 If you care, Get a 2018 version that is not as old: Black, Death Standing Special Edition, Last of Us 2 Special Edition, or Kingdom Hearts Special Editing. You still hear the fan, but much quieter. The are all on eBay for various prices. The Black PS4 Pro and the Death Stranding Model are the cheapest as of the time of this post.
Here is the PS4 Pro you want: Look for the small power connector on the console. This will be the later version with an improved motherboard and is MUCH quieter. It will not sound like a jet engine. Mine idles at 51C which is a huge improvement over the first version.
Definitely jump into RDR2 after you finish TLOU. I have a ton of games to play but put those aside and started playing DDR2 a second time recently and have no regrets that I am putting off other games. Take your time and enjoy it. I still need to play through Ghost of Tsushima but you got a great set of games there. I’d go with the Uncharted games next. Nathan Drake collection, Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy are all on the PS4 and worth it. Same with God of War and both Horizon games. Witcher 3 is a must play. Ratchet and Clank remake was great too. Spiderman games too. Assassins Creed Origins and Odyssey. GTA5. At a few hours a week you could line up 3-4years of games for
If you really want a silent fan, especially with the earlier Pro models, you gotta change the thermals paste. Changing the pads is not a bad idea too, but the paste change is essential.
If you by a Pro I highly recommend buying an SSD for it also. It makes a major difference. You don't need some super 8TB SSD that will cost300-400. a 1TB-2TB Samsung QVO SSD will do just fine. I've been on a my PS5 for about 6 months now but I refuse to sell my Pro with it's upgraded SSD. It's just too good of a console. Optimize it also (plenty of videos on RU-vid) to really get what you can out of the Pro.
Do put an SSD in place of the pokey hard drive, that'll make it super fast at loading. Keep in mind you can also use an external M.2 SSD, which can be much cheaper for larger capacities these days over the 2.5" varieties, and the PS4 Pro will automatically save downloaded games to that one after you plug it in. It's a win win either way.
My wife got her ps4 pro when it first came out by selling her original ps4 locally, then using a few games to trade in at gamestop and it was practically free. It was a lovely beast of a machine.
I was a long time Xbox Call of Duty O.G., but I got my 9 yr old son a PS4 Pro about 2 years ago along w/ PSVR, Aim controller, steering wheel, HOTAS flight stick, and Move controllers. It's been a blast, and Call of Duty MWII 2023 plays and looks WAY better than my Xbox One S, and the ADS Gyro controller option within MWII is absolutely insane when sniping if setup right IMO. Great content Thomas. Cheers!
I've upgraded my PS4 Pro with a QD Oled 4K 120hz and I do get 120 fps aa motion clarity plus customized with improved airflow system, running all games in boost mode and running at amazing graphics thanks to the XR processor upscaled 4K textures.
I did exactly the same thing this year. A Pro tip is to replace your thermal paste with a thermal grizzly Carbonaut thermal pad. You have most likely already done this by now. I have really enjoyed the FF7 remake, Nex Machina, Matterfall, Tactics Ogre, Medievil(PS1 game remake), Street Fighter 30th anniversary collection, Shovel Knight, Astronite, Slain, Valfaris, Ratchet and Clank, Gravity Rush Remastered, Gravity Rush 2, Spiderman, Borderlands 3, Little Big Planet 3, Bloodborne, Axiom Verge. Yeah no need to go buy a PS5 for a while yet. I'm looking to purchase one if the whole economy dies and they go on sale for really cheap. Otherwise I am going to wait for 3-4 years. I also have a fairly decent Gaming PC, so I really dont see the need. The only reason I can see for wanting a PS5 at this point is to run PS4 games better, and the PS4 Pro already does a great job of that.
Excellent video. I am the exact same way however I have been playing games since 1992 (I'm 38). I've had pretty much all the major consoles and I even play PC games. But I wouldn't consider myself a gamer but I do love games and I like reading about them and what's in development. I bought a ps4 pro and a new 50 inch 4k tv from Best Buy back in Nov 2019. I had an original ps4 from 2014 that I replaced with the pro. About 2 weeks ago I replaced the 1tb hard drive in the pro with a 1tb ssd. Makes the console and games run a bit better and faster. Highly recommend that upgrade. I've thought about getting a PS5 especially since they are much easier to find now. However, the games for the ps5 are not appealing to me. AT ALL! Even the future games don't interest me. I barely play my ps4 pro which is why it took me so long to even upgrade to an ssd and getting the next gen is not gonna make me to start playing games more. I'm not saying I will never get a ps5, but as of right now I just don't see the need for me to upgrade.
I actually went and bought a PS4 and a pro just a few weeks ago, the pro were 'faulty' so I got it real cheap, and the PS4 I got really cheap, well bc of luck I guess, with a bunch of games. Sent off the PS4 to a family member and kept my PS4 pro. Awesome console. If I'll be totally honest I am kind of impressed of how good the graphics are on even the std ps4, as long as your tv has a good upscaler which mine's got. And I come from the pc gaming world, and own an RTX card. I would seriously not recommend a PS5 unless you've had a PS4 since launch and also have money over. I love my PS4.
They really are great consoles. The problem with today's modern world is that once something new comes out, the old is cast aside, even though they are still amazing machines! Good for all of us as we can pick them up for a decent price ☺
You would recommend me to buy a ps4 Pro or ps5 ? i just want to play all the old and upcoming exclusives of this year, im towards ps5 only because 2 main things : 1 -. Graphics. Apparently someone says are way different, others say both are to close, and the diferrences isnt worth the extra price, so i dont know. 2-. Ps5 controller. The haptick triggers, and a “ps5 joystick” its what are convince me to go for it
@@johnsherly2689 the biggest difference is performance. if you want to play games at 60fps, get a ps5. if that doesn't really matter to you go with the pro.
The problem isn’t that the graphics are crap compared to PS5, the PS4 Pro holds up decently compared to the PS5. The biggest reason why I would not buy a PS4/Pro now is because there are more and more games that are only on current gen consoles, and a PS5 is simply a better investment in the long run if you play games a decent amount, especially new releases.
Get a ps5. Dont be dumb lol. The pro is almost the same fn price. Why buy a 10 year old console for the price of a brand new one that runs games 100x better and faster?
I got a free ps4 pro trading up from my launch model ps4 I brought it without a hardrive and loud fan noise I fixed it up ssd installed and overdid it on the cooling so I would say it’s near world record decibel level. And yeah I’m using it currently and I’m very happy with it.
It’s crazy how silent it is after a good dust cleaning, thermal paste renewal, and ssd install. My Pro is literally silent. More silent than my PS4 Slim.
I brought a PS4 Pro two weeks ago for £200 from CEX because i didn't want to spend £500 on a PS5 and i have no complaints at all and it works perfectly
If the noise of the jet engine is still too much try turning off super sampling and boost mode... They are pretty good but some games like rdr2 run it loud
Would recommend ps4 slim saves like $100 bucks kinda. That could go to other things. No 4k of course but still get HDR. My ps4 slim is still quiet after 4 years pretty much.
Just bought a refreshed PS4 pro today. So i only paid 260€ for a basically new console. Already have a series s and series x is on its way. Now i save for the PS5 lol. Mine is silent af tho. Can't wait to play Bloodborne again. Thank god i still had all my saves on an USB drive.
Buying these at the turn of when the next system is starting to get a decent library is ALWAYS the best time to buy systems and games. PS4 and XBOX One games are cheap, the systems are cheapish. The systems tend to drop more as time goes on, if these follow suit with older generations, which so far, they have. The games will drop and flatline for years before coasting upwards in value due to becoming collectibles. This was the case with GameCube/PS2/OG XBOX era, as well as WII/360/PS3 era. This era will likely do the same, and it's already becoming cheap, so at the very least, it's a good time to buy. Whether they'll go up in value in 5-10 years, I can't promise, but it's likely. But I'm not an investor in these, I just have noticed when games and consoles become cheap. And with the price of some games out there, it's worth grabbing em while they're cheap.
i like this bc im alot older now and im also someone who just wants to relax and play games on the couch. as much as i want to buy the newer console i feel i can get the same experience with the ps4 pro and save a bit of cash
And this is exactly why I picked one up, an immense back catalogue of games I’ve never played before and I can play as little or as much as I can and I don’t feel bad about it as I haven’t dropped a load of money on it.
I'm currently on the fence between PS4 and PS5 for my 720p projector, and PS4 looks damn appealing. Not only because it's much cheaper it also much more compact, and hard drive is easily upgradeable with massive SSD which not only allow to install more games, but also it will be faster (than HDD not PS5 of course). But I still lean towards PS5 because I just don't want to upgrade PS in couple years when new Horizon or another Sony Exclusive won't be available on the PS4, also DualSense controllers are completely next level - once experienced there is no way back, and last but not least PS5 is absolutely silent after any PS4. The hardest part for me now is to decide if that actually worth 300% of the PS4 price :D
if you want to play next gen games but don't want to spend a shit load of money, just buy a series S, its a 100-50 euros more expensive but i would say its worth it.
@@snowmean1 oh ok, if u rly want to try the new gen games at full graphics go with the ps5 or just stick to a ps4 pro, second hand purchases are also a pretty good option, just buy it from a trusted store and get a warranty. I assume you wont be using your ps4/5 as your main console, so a second hand can save a lot of money
Super happy with my ps4 pro. I bought it relatively late but now see it was a good decision. The noise is annoying but it still allows to play new games like Horizon Forbidden West or GOW Ragnarok with awesome graphics.
I actually bought a PS3 as I'd never had the chance to enjoy it because of being in my busy 20s I'll move onto PS4 soon then PS5 I understand your reason for wanting to catch up on how gaming has evolved
A fellow Brit? Subbed! i’ve pretty much had a PlayStation four pro since launch, I went to the event at Game superstore in Camden the midnight launch was awesome! I got the original PlayStation four on the day of launch and it still hasn’t started running loud Even though I upgraded to the PlayStation five I still have love for my PlayStation four pro
Hey braddah, same like you, 4K tv, nice avr so what the hay, got myself a white ps4 pro about 4 months back only to play GT7 and man it sounded loud like a jet engine when playing games, and the pro was hot to touch so after it shut down while playing a game, first time I’ve ever seen dat happen, RU-vidd all vids on cleaning but yeah nah, I ain’t got time for that, took it up to the local pc store and got em to clean fan, heat sink, change thermal pads as well as thermal paste the gpu or cpu? whisper quiet and still cool to the touch, next on the list, cooling stand with charge docks, then an SSD, take care my dude, happy gaming
Totally agree. I just picked one up in near new shape with 3 controllers, 9 games (most of which I'll be trading off after I play) and a headset, etc for $300. Looks great on my 4k TV... and there's a huge library of mind-blowing games I've never played for a fraction of the price as getting a PS5, one controller and a digital game. I'm good on a PS5 for at least 3 years.
PS4 Pro is a great console. One thing I definitely like is the boost mode because some games actually take advantage of the faster CPU. One game is Assassin's Creed Unity. The frame rate on that game struggled to maintain 30fps on the base console but on the PS4 Pro with boost mode enabled, Unity runs at a near-locked 30fps.
Honestly on my end, I wouldn't get the PS5. I'm going to keep upgrading console after console...Better yet I'll stick with the PS4. Yet I do collect Sony consoles but there's only two consoles I play, which is the Vita & the PS4.
Unrelated comment but I own a ps4 pro for 4 years now and for the first time I'm cleaning it and replacing the thermal paste. I thought my ps4 was dead because it went off the first time and the second time seem like it was about to explose and flash before my eyes. Refused to buy ps5 because of the ridiculous about of cost and I am emotionally attached to my plane-station(because the fan is too loud sometimes). Good video!
I think gamers tend to underestimate how good of a value last gen consoles are while having their eyes glued to the newest and greatest. The PS4 Pro and Xbox One X are great value for the money on the used and international market. There is always a time after a console leaves the limelight and before it becomes "retro" where you can get the games and platform for cheaper as the market is flooded with people who have upgraded or want to and we are definetly in that time for the PS4, and XBone.
PCs are great long-term investments (games are cheaper and there are many hardware options), but if you want to stick to consoles, the PS4 Pro or Xbox One X are solid options. While their frame rate caps aren’t often higher than their base model counterparts, they are much more consistent. Also, you can use external storage and not have to worry about games not loading. They still are rolling games out for 8th gen anyway.
I love my PS4 Pro, I've had mine since it was released. I would never change it for the PS5 at all. I've played and had so much fun with the PS4 Pro , I just love the design and aesthetic look of it; compared to the PS5, including the controller.
Commodore 64 was my first “games console” never got an Atari as a kid my last game console was ps2. Had a brain injury stopped playing for years but took out my old ps2 recently and found its good for rewiring my brain, memory, spatially etc... and having some fun. thinking of getting a ps4 pro to be able to afford a “newer unit” and games on disability fixed income. Narrowing it down to this unit. Looking on eBay Thanks for your input! Enjoy your gaming
I lived in UK not too long ago. CeX has some really good deals if you know what to look for. I feel that most people who aren't playing competitive games will be totally fine with PS4 Pro. I started playing mine again and haven't turned on my gaming laptop in ages. The library of games (especially since I'm in Asia now) is amazing!
God of war, Uncharted series, Batman series, Marvel Spider-Man series , Tomb raider series, DAYS Gone, Horizon franchise , Far cry franchise, AC origins and AC odyssey are a must play imo
I love this video and agree with you 100%. Ps5 is really that system you can just skip. Like iPhones or cellphones now you can really hold on to what you have and it’ll last for so many years. Ps4 is very much future proof like there’s no reason for me to switch over. Only if it was given to me for free but like even that I wouldn’t want it it’s too big
If u missed the PS4 era, then it's a no brainer to buy one now. So many good games and an overall solid system. I would even recommend a PS3 nowadays. That console had even more good games. Have fun bro!
Not trying to debate just asking... as someone who owned the PS4 almost since lunch Aren't nearly all good games of the PS3 has been released on ps4 and if not they almost all got a remaster or remake do you think it's still worth buying?
@@talion7268 mmhh.. good point 🤔 Honestly, I don't know. I just remember how it was during these eras and that PS3 was my favorite one. I bet there are a lot of games that were ported or remastered, but with them the atmosphere/character of the game kinda fades. I call it the "remaster effect". You get better resolution, but most of the textures/models stay the same, so you got a clear image which is blurry 😅 I hope you know what I mean 😂 The game always feels different to me then, also outdated in some way, but if I play the original one, I subconsciously remember that it's an old game, so I don't mind graphics. Maybe I just enjoy it more to play the original software on its original hardware. I mean I'm also the type of guy that bought a PSP a month ago to play some old games on it 😅 Also looking for a 3DS before the eShop closes this month 😂
@@rushernate2601 yea I think if Sony manages to put a PS3 emulator on the PS5 that would be straight up fantastic, cause I'm sure there are still few great game who hasn't been ported yet like the first few InFamous games
Just put a SSD and PS4 pro can come close to ps5 in terms of loading speed and frame rates. and you wont even need the fastest ssd. I have had the pro with ssd for like 2 years now and honestly it is worth every penny.
The amount of horse shit in this comment. Lmao. An ssd in a any console has nothing to do with frame rates. So putting an ssd in a ps4 pro absolutely does nothing for frame rates. What are you even saying? Lol. Also comes close to ps5 loading? What?
My horizon forbidden west on an external ssd was able to load in 30 seconds which I believe is half it's load time. I put the games I'm playing on it just for the faster loads and less pop in textures.
I got my PS5 Digital for £390 brand new from Sony PS Direct. I'm a casual that just wants to use the 4K 120hz OLED TV I own to the fullest. LG CX 65" £2000 TV. I also have a audiophile grade sound system. Aesthetics matter more. Performance matters more. I saved money and also bought games for £12 - 20 per game. Everything was on sale that I wanted by 50, 60, 70% savings. On PS Store. So I pulled the trigger. Bought 8 games for £116. (most triple a titles) Oh and did I mention? The PS5 Digital is the quietest choice. Most beautiful console out right now. Its an obvious choice for a decently wealthy man like me at the age of 20. No daddy's money either.
Nah bro, as a former owner of one, who could play like non stop in different mp’s, this console expires long time ago, like in 2019. Sold it in late 2021 after a few years of idling. I wouldn’t already recommend buying it then, and even so now when PS5 shortages are gone. It’s just not smart wasting of money imo.
I would still get a PS5, because you can play PS4 games and then some. Might as play the new version of Last of Us. I’m also a big Final Fantasy fan and I can’t miss the latest release for 2-3 years if I stick with the Pro. Games are cheap if you join PS Plus. I already own a Pro and my library carried over to PS5. I always buy on sales.
I agree with you. You know, seven years ago I was supposed to get the pro but the store has no available so I picked the slim instead. My gameplays should immerse more but I've been enjoying my slim so far. On second thought, I got a PS5.
I'm a big xbox player, love that economy system. But I've never owned a ps4.... saw online that you can find used ps4pros for anywhere from $100-200. I think i might take the plunge and buy one to play all of those exclusives I've been missing out on. Doesn't ps + have a bunch of them ?
My Favorite PS : (2019 Days of play) PS4 slim. Its been updated by Sony with some small valuable details, that makes it a modern game console. I Added a WD 2T SSD and my games load in 17-20 secs & some quicker depending on the software the developers make. I Was playing (Need for Speed 2019) online with my friends. And my 2019 PS4 loading quicker than my friends PS5 on the same Wifi!!! They couldn’t believe it! But The fact that the PS4 is a less-custom, more-standard-like-PC architecture; allows the developers to work with it much easier, and thus draw out the power of the console!!! Software & Hardware harmony is essential!!! You can make a console more productive if you know how to use software correctly!!! If developers wanted, they can make the PS4 (2019) give more than what it does now. Its capable of doing 120hz games. How else do you get 4 player games ? At 30 fps each screen, (Dirt 5) You can do a 1 player game at 120fps if they wanted. Or know when to pull out the 30,60,120 fps during the same game!!! The software potential is endless!!! Fyi: I turn off HDR on my PS4 (2019) version; and let my projector deliver the HDR. So i dont get Double HDR effect. And This PS4-2019 edition is soo quite !!! They added modern ports & wifi chip is stronger. Doesn’t get hot as the first PS4 version! 2019 (Days of Play Limited edition) with a 2T WD Sata SSD Is a hidden gem!!!
I haven't had a new PS since the PS2. So over the course of around 15 years I never got a new console until now. As an adult once I started making some money on my own I decided to get a PS5. To be fair I did not really put much thought into it, I just saw it for 500 Euros (digital version) and it had God of War Ragnarok bundled. I just went ahead and bought it. I love it and it does the job for me although I would've preferred to have the disk drive, not that I have any PS4 games or anything, but if I found any disks for cheap I could get em. But in any case the PSN does some really good discounts (you can literally get God of War 2018 for $10 right now) and I make sure to buy any game that I want to play. The only downside is that the storage is too small for the massive downloads. Most games are around 70-90GB
you made a great choice! I think that in a few years you should get a ps5 if they have gone down in price and there are more games that you might want to play my then, but for now, I really recommend that you get Spider-man! great game that I got for about $20 used a few months ago, very fun from front to back, and I never wanted to put the controller down
I got my ps4 pro in 2018. I got my Xbox one x a couple of months later as a free gift in 2019. I still play my ps4 pro. I still Iove my ps4 pro. My ps4 pro has always been silent. I’ll probably get my ps5 when GTA6 comes out. Still have a few games I have to finish on my one x and ps4 pro.
As a PS4 pro owner for years i think that it is fair to buy it. BUT i also think especially for someone like you who did not game and do not have many games from previous consoles should consider Xbox Series S which is best possible option. Why? You can get it for 250$ brand new with warranty and you can get 100s of games with subscription which is like 25- 30$ a year AND you would be able to play new relases in the future which you wont be able on ps4 cause it is practically finished with new games. One reason you still might want to get ps4 are its exclusives which are great but still..you got info and it is all up to you! 😏😉
I have been planning to buy a PS4 Pro, but all the new videos saying that you should buy a PS5 instead, and those videos push me into not buying any console. And this video gives me hope to buy a PS4 Pro. Thank you, Thomas! I expect seeing more neat videos like this!
I couldnt find a pro under $400 so I got a ps5 for $550. I mean why buy a generation old console for nearly the same price as a brand new current gen system? Its really dumb, financially.
I play my ps4 pro on a Lg C1 OLED 4k HDR TV with Smooth Motion activated it makes my 30 FP games feel like 60 FPS! PS4 Pro Also HAs The Boost Mode that boosts graphics and frame rates for games released prior to the release of the PS4 Pro! YEAH!
If your budget is really this slim that 499 is a ton of money to you, you could have just got a digital version used or new of the ps5. If you want to buy a ps4 pro in 2023 that's fine, but to tell others that what they should wate their money on is cap. No people, if you budget is that tight just save a little more and get a damn PS5 and you can have ps5 games and ps4 games.
Hey dude, thank you for watching! I’m not telling people how to spend their money, I’m just saying that if you’re someone like me who doesn’t have time to game much but wants to play all these games in a great cheap package, then a PS4 Pro is a great little console! I hope this helps, I will take your note for any future videos
It’s an amazing console don’t listen to everyone else. Yea it doesn’t have the instant load times like the 5, but it’s still much better than the regular ps4 and definitely the Xbox one. I want this to be one of my gifts for my 21st birthday.
I can play most ps4 era games on my steam deck, but I’m thinking of getting a jailbroken ps4, so I can play UFC mostly, but also to collect all the single player games I don’t want to download.
I got my 2 Terabyte PS4 Pro for 300$ in August 2021. I’m not someone who plays every new release so I don’t care about Next Gen. I mostly replay my favorite games over and over again like Sonic and Arkham Batman but I do like checking out newer releases from the past 5 Years. Cheaper games is definitely a plus, right now I wanna get into the Assassins Creed franchise so I’m gonna get the Ezio Trilogy for 20$ at my Walmart.
I recently picked up a ps4 pro death stranding ltd edition from cash converters in mint condition with 6 months warrantly for 200 quid. Absolute bargain it wasnt even in the window for sale however noticed it behind the desk. Snapped it up straight away.
I recently got my PS4 pro limited edition 2018 Spider Man all red man I love it 🥰 I play Fifa 23 COD war zone MK 11 GTA 5 and Need for speed the graphics is what trills me I have an Android HDDR 10 TV but looks like it 4K
I think it's a great console. A middle step between the base PS4 and the PS5. I have a Death Stranding black+white model and a PS5 beside it in my cabinet. They look related lol. I play the pro more than the PS5 even tho the PS5 plays PS4 games. I guess I just like the overall experience better still (plus it has a 4Tb drive in it). Games are still coming out for it so there really is no need for a PS5 for many people yet - and the pro plays them at higher res and more stable framerates than the base model. It's a good buy.
