Came here to learn about graphic design, stayed here for the immaculate non-youtubey vibez. Thank you for making this and sharing, I aim to uplevel my life in nourishing ways
Love it! Keep these relatable videos coming. Although I am not a graphic designer, but I do make Shopify stores and apps for clients. My problem is not with getting clients, but it seems even if I get a client everyday it won't be enough to cover basic expenses which a 9-5 would. I guess my question is how do you not just get clients, but also figure out how to make being a freelancer profitable and not end up working 16 hours a day!
Specialize, raise your prices and communicate your expertise. This is a pretty difficult question to answer in a comment, but I can talk about this more in a future video. One quick note, if you are charging hourly, stop. hourly pay rates are lower because the security a 9-5 provides and the generalized type if work. Freelancing is high risk, and specialized, so it deserves higher pay.
Thank you! 🙏🏾 Yeaa, Its up there forsure.. LA is expensive, but alot of creatives make a very healthy income here. You have to be really competitive and hungry but if you focus on your craft you can find a means to increase your income fairly quickly.
Patreon is not algorithmically driven, so it is difficult to determine what others may want from you. I suggest keeping it something you can make exclusive, but also stay consistent about. For digital artists and designers this may be tutorial videos, work files, free assets or video process. NSFW art is popular but I would not advise it unless you can keep up with demand. Hope this helps :)
Good job and advice, I got 2 brands Registered in Mexico en Here in the US now but I and in the sample stage , once we pass that we will go for the marketing, moving forward is been a long journey but I can’t just jump or go crazy and loose all, that would be devastating and I can afford it, been watching videos like this content and honestly is appreciate it, thanks
Yo, nice work. Yeah being patient is the toughest part sometimes especially when you’re making some fire garments. - but you are doing everything right! 🫡 keep me updated. Im in the process of structuring a marketing course for anyone interested and will be posting free videos on @beams.arches about marketing and brand development going forward if you want to check out some more! 🧡
sum real black introverted graphic designer vibes, just what I needed on my recommended. your video is making me try to regain love with design and with my routine
Mad respect. Most people now tell you that you can get rich quick and blow up quick. I subscribed right when i heard that u said that was bullshit. No such thing as a quick route to success, just like how nobody with abs actually believes in watching 10 minute ab videos and gets abs.
Very informative ⭐️ I love how these approaches can be applied to a variety of business types, no matter the niche. I agree, Email Marketing is definitely slept on, I see it blowing up in a big way for smaller creative businesses (musicians, graphic designers, beat makers/producers) this year.
Thank you 🙏🏾😊 I’m glad it was helpful! And absolutely agree, email marketing is booming as a more personal way to connect with your audience. Im loving it. 😌
and bro did exactly what he talked about, give value = gain trust, loyalty and awareness. Keep the vids goin, u got me curious to learn about what else u have left to teach us <3
I would recommend some background lighting to make your video pop more, just some constructive feedback, great content none the less and amazing editing
