If it died of led poisoning, then where did it get it from, poisoned fish maybe? Or is there some factory in the area dumping lead into the environment?
What a beautiful, thoughtful rescue. I watch FOBB and I am mesmerized by these birds. I saw in comments that the eagle did not make it due to lead poisoning… mannnn who would do that and how does this happen😢😢😢
Just REMEMBER ! NEVER, NEVER FORCE FEED an Eagle. You can kill them ! Water, antibiotics, and probiotic supplements is the FIRST thing to do. Once they drink on their own, THEN attempt water feeding IN VERY SMALL AMOUNTS, if necessary. You can also place a small piece of meat in the water so they can see that it is water. The Eagle's digestive tract is closed and shrunken, so ONLY LIQUID food is what they can digest. After about 3-4 days, offer tiny bits of raw meat. READ ON THE STATE OF LONG TERM FASTING. This will help you understand your birds much better and save more lives.
What's the story here? This was like watching the first 20 minutes of a movie, where's the rest of the story and the conclusion? I love to give you a thumbs up but no explanation of how the bird was hurt what was wrong with it, where you were taking it. What was the diagnosis and the treatment and let's see the release. Should have been titled "walking around with a bird for 4 minutes."
