Awe you are too sweet! I have thought about putting a few new ones on every once and a while. I may have to make some time. I do enjoy sharing recipes! Also thanks for subscribing! :)
It's 1978 all over again! This is going to be good tonight after last weeks dental surgery! Thanks, Feena! BTW so nice to see all your subscribers. I stumbled into your recipes when you were in the hundreds.
I love the simplicity. How many really big servings do you think this would make? I would like to use it for lunch prep meals. I don't eat breakfast, so when noon finally rolls around, I am starving. Thanks and I look forward to making your concoction.
Thank you, dear lady, for sending me the link to this particular recipe. I think I’m going to use this, but make a little variation based on the first one of your recipes that I came across, which is the one where you wrap the Little Smokies in bacon. They looked so fabulous, that I think I’m going to make this recipe but wrap the Little Smokies in the bacon the way you did in the first recipe of yours that I saw! Something tells me this is going to be a big hit at our luncheon tomorrow! Thank you so much for posting these recipes. BTW, because I have hearing issues and need to wear a hearing aid, many times the audio on RU-vid videos can be irritatingly loud, or just plain annoying; however, your audio and the music you chose for this particular video was just fine. No problems. 🙋🏻♀️
@@FeenasFixins People loved them! Lots of great comments. I did make them with the bacon, brown sugar AND cherry pie filling and a slosh of crushed pineapple. I think, though, that all the extra liquid made a lot of the bacon slip off the Little Smokies and, though the bacon was certainly well-cooked after 3 1/2 hrs. on High in the slow cooker, it didn’t get real crispy on the ones that were on the top , so I ended up fishing them out and throwing them into a hot skillet to crisp up the bacon. A little extra work, but well worth it. I will definitely make these again! Thanks again for the recipes!! 🙋🏻♀️💞
I made this last week and it was goood! I didnt know what dip to get so i ended up getting Tostito's medium Salsa con Queso. It was a little warm but really good. Thanks for the video. 👍🏻👍🏻
Wow! Those look scrumptious! I am 74 yrs. “Young” (😉☺️), and was very blessed in having my mom with me until 2019, when she passed at the age of 97. She was a little firecracker right up until just a few days before she left us. She used to make fabulous Little Smokies appetizer during the holidays, and I never really got the “recipe” from her; but, I know it contained canned crushed pineapple (I don’t recall if she used the juice) and, I believe, brown sugar and Apple jelly. (Though she was a serious diabetic, so I’m not sure she used brown sugar or how much.) Does that sound familiar to you? As often happened to her, my search for Apple jelly has proven very difficult. I did find one jar of it, but it had no flavor whatsoever. I want to make these for a belated Christmas dinner our retirement community is having in January. Our scheduled one had to be postponed because several of our neighbors have got a winter bug of one kind or another. This recipe with the bacon looks fabulous! What do you think about my adding crushed canned pineapple to this bacon wrapped recipe? Would you suggest cutting back on the brown sugar if I do? I made some very yummy applesauce last month with brown sugar and spiced apple cider and froze about 1 cup of it. Do you think adding that would be preferable to the pineapple? I think if I used the applesauce I would omit any extra brown sugar. Will they come out with the bacon all nice and crispy like the ones in your video if I have several layers of them in the pot? I have never been a terribly confident cook, so any suggestions or guidance you care to offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for this recipe! I think no matter how I might embellish it, it will be a big hit at our community dinner! Happy New Year to you and your family! I’m going to Subscribe.
That is such a great memory of your mom! Love how some people have their own version or style of recipe and make it their own! I do have a sweet and sour little smokie recipe that does have pineapple in it. Although I think with this recipe the brown sugar makes a nice glaze and I personally wouldn’t mess with it. But we all have our own likes or preferences. So if you do try it with pineapple you should let me know how it turns out :)
Man the 10 hour setting still isn’t enough originally they would start them at night and let them cook all night and in to the next day in cast iron adding coals to keep them cooking in the low 200s I toss tiny meatballs and beef cocktail weens in mine 😂 I’m telling you cook them 3 times longer than this and tell me it ain’t better
Hi Darlin, Just watched this video and LOVE IT! Hi again... I have Dec 14th Christmas party... "Can I Double or triple the size?" Also, I love using Original Sweet Baby Ray. I will add any soda such as Cola, DR Pepper, etc. to it and dilute it. The amount I am looking to feed are 40 CNA's on Dec 14th. Thank you my friend... Good Bless
