It's all about me. My name is Richmond and this is where I share a lot about my life, my thoughts and what I am working on today. So make sure you subscribe, because you are going to learn more :) Happy watching!
Thanks Richmond! I'm now at the stage of picking wall painting, i did not consider this while getting the tiles.. and went with grey tiles. This video really helped. I'll probably go for a white wall then to keep it safe - thank you and you're insanely resourceful!
Thanks for sharing this, Richmond.. you definitely have an in depth knowledge on light placement and how much light bulbs are needed to luminate your home .. did you learn this from somewhere or if ID/Sales person taught you this? I'm struggling a little to figure out if I should go with 1 or 2 isa mini lights.. in my living room, currently ID proposed 2 isa mini lights for all 4 corners around the fan.. but I thought of keeping it simple at 1 light each.. any suggestion who I should speak to? My ID is really nice to allow me to decide 😂 and as much as I appreciate that, I was hoping to not make a decision to regret later on..
Hey there! If you need another opinion you can go to Sol Luminaire to ask them for advice, show them the floor plan and they can tell you if your proposed configuration is sufficient or not. No expert here, but have to ask around for different views .. :)
Hi I am planning to renovate my flat. Interested in made in Italy/Spain tiles. Could you please suggest a good tile company for me to source these tiles? Thank you.
Hi Richmond May I know if stainless steel sink easily sketch n stain. What brand is ur sink. Also for kitchen top stone what is the thickness of your stone 20 or 30mm?
The sink is quite easy to clean and if there is no obvious scratches. I think other material will be more visible when scratched… the sink brand is En+T … thickness for my Dekton is 20mm
It’s Italian tiles. It’s Spanish tiles. European comes from the word Europe and its a continent. This continent most of the countries have nothing to do with tiles (Netherlands, UK, Sweden etc etc) Don’t be lazy in your precision.
It’s not metal surface, but a foil surface pasted there… this is to protect the carpentry from any leaks or spills from the sink or pipes… my ID proactively included this without me asking :)
Hi Richmond, since your household does heavy cooking almost everyday, may I know how often do you deep clean the kitchen? Does the fumes and greases stains ur carpentry or even towards your laundry area? Do you remove all ur laundry clothes from the rack before cooking or no issues with exposing clothes while cooking? I’m still considering whether to hack away the service yard door to integrate with kitchen. Hope you can share your tips since you have been living in your current house for awhile. Thanks a lot 🙏🏻
Hi Jaclyn, even with heavy cooking, carpentry and surfaces remain easy to clean… yes will have to keep laundry away… but we are happy that we hack away the service yard… it’s really very under utilised and make the kitchen smaller… converting the yard into the kitchen seems to be more practical and better use of space..
Hi, your dry kitchen looks amazing and the stowage of items are very well thought out! Can i check how much did you pay for the wells water dispenser? Thanks in advance!
Love your home and the colour palette. It’s my dream home. Very well designed. Would you mind sharing name of your ID firm and design budget ? Tks for sharing your beautiful home
Hi Richmond, wanted to check do you find the fan to be very low when installed on the false ceiling? Also if you could share the drop height of your fan please? As always, appreciate your sharing!
Yes I can actually touch the fan blades if I stretch to reach for it. It’s low but not that low that it affects anything, so I don’t see it a problem… I am using the haiku fan short mount…
Question : AT the stage before shortlisting of IDs, ID proposes their design/moodboard. At this point, probably there are certain things that you dislike about the design, space planning, layout etc? In this case, do you discuss with them upfront on the specific designs u want them to do - in order to get more clearer quotation? I wish to know how or what is the process like because i learn that it takes effort for IDs to come up with ideas and do the moodboard and layout. So if there are things we dislike, they have to go back to drawing board to do which takes time
The easiest way to start is to share what you want first before they come out with the draft. After their initial draft, you can share with them what you don’t like and can change from there. So the more details and specifics you can provide upfront, there will be less of these things later on
