Jazz Sabbath (1968) were considered to be at the forefront of the new English jazz movement. Their self-titled debut album would be released on 13 Feb 1970, but on Feb 12th bandleader Milton Keanes was hospitalised with a massive heart attack; leaving him fighting for his life. The record company shelved the album and cancelled the scheduled release out of financial uncertainty of releasing an album from a band without its leader.
When Milton was released from hospital in September 1970, he found out that a band from Birmingham, conveniently called ‘Black Sabbath’, had since released two albums containing so-called metal versions of his songs. His recalled albums had been destroyed in a warehouse fire in June 1970
The master tapes, believed to be lost in the fire, were found last year. These songs will now be heard; proving that the heavy metal band worshipped by millions are in fact nothing more than musical charlatans, thieving the music from a bedridden, hospitalised genius.
very very good..................................................................................................................................................................................
@@Saint_Dismas oh really? I heard it was from the dark ages where Christian factions fought for flags and castles like Monty Python Holy Grail type thing
This musical work lives with the gaze we give it. It is not limited either to what it is or to the person who produced it, it is also made by the one who hears it. Music and Painting are a space of questioning and meditation where the senses that we attribute to it can come and be made and undone🕊
Essa versão é a coisa mais linda do mundo, ficou perfeito!... lindo!... Deus abençoe os musicos que tiveram esse maravilhso dom! Sou de São Paulo, Brasil!
Never have I witnessed such bold plagiarism since 1973 when I was the back seat passenger in a Mini driven by Chris Rea with David Coverdale riding shotgun down to a London audition from Saltburn-by-the-sea.... Chris is passing away the endless miles humming a little ditty to himself....'Is this love....? That I'm feelin'....Is this the love, that I've been searchin' for ....? David is faking sleep but I can see him scribbling under his poncho....
Dude I love sabbath and stumbling upon this just made my night, taking the godfathers of heavy metals’ music and covering it in jazz is so amazing. Makes me think about the notorious xxx album and how cool and creative that mashup is. Fucking goats
