Moved to Savannah in 1991 and have been here since. Such a beautiful city! I remember a lot of this as it was then. Raised my kids here and one of them attended SCAD as well. I wish there was more old footage of Savannah.
A lot has changed in Savannah since 1991. Some for the better and some for the worse. Some things haven't changed at all. My hometown. Thanks for the video
This is more than a walk down memory lane. This is a flyover! I was born in Claxton which was west of Savannah and it was this city I lived at until things got out of hand with family concerns and that I had to move to Middle Georgia in 1991/92. I still have family in Savannah but I have lived in Brunswick for about at least 10 years now.
Thank you so much for up loading this wish there were more. As a grade school kid I only saw a hand few of all night lives on Friday night as I got sleepy but then I get scared to go to sleep after watching twilight zone. Brings back memories both good and bad😅
It really wasn’t until the late 90s before people started wearing seatbelts. That’s why they had to have real people in this footage to show you just how important it is.
0:32 You mean to tell me that this man saw the car coming fast in plain sight and still didn’t stop? I know there’s ice on the ground and it takes longer to stop, but he had more than enough time to hit the brakes
This is flawed data because the volunteers will inevitably tense their bodies prior to impact. Of course there are situations where you will see it coming, but what about those when you are hit blind.
Once upon a time, local TV was amazing. Before it was endless King of Queens and Seinfeld in syndication packages, they could basically fill air with whatever was cheap. And that meant cheap local talent. If the talent happened to be GOOD, well, lots of interesting things could happen. Kansas City was lucky. KSHB gave us All Night Live (which was better when Dick Wilson hosted) AND the sensational Crematia Mortem (Roberta Solomon) on Creature Feature. TV that was perfect if you wanted to be engaged and perfect if you wanted to just nod off. Yeah, Uncle Ed turned out to be a genuine oddball (and by oddball I mean sex offender and weirdo RU-vid sensation) but that shouldn't diminish the awesomeness of All Night Live.
kinda hard for me to watch. Was looking to see if I was seen with my best friend who I would skip school with just to go to the plaza... She has passed... but this brings memories.
From unfortunate experience I can advise letting go of the steering wheel if you are going to hit something. I was involved in an offset collision on the drivers side and the kinetic energy that came up through the steering wheel broke my arm and damaged the ligaments in my wrist. I was wearing a seatbelt and had a steering wheel airbag that deployed and I suffered no other injury.
0:56 wow, that collision is too hard make the windshield drop from the frame & fell to the ground As a conclusion, remember to wear seatbelt every time u sit on the car for safety & avoid get fined by the traffic police
This really takes me back when I was a kid in the 80s. This show started in the 70s and lasted until the early or mid 90's and it was usually a double feature.
Good footage from the good old days. I do believe I saw Antioch Park. It was my favourite when I was a wee boy in the 70's. Are these two films available to watch on the interenet?
