All you need to do is drop a outpost beacon and build a Landing Pad with ship builder on any planet. No other components are needed. Once built, you can sell the ship right there, then keep or delete the outpost.
@@heysupguys30 Right, you just need to make sure vendor credit on your pad is less than the ship value. With a new pad should be zero, or really low if you added a part or two to other ships.
I have fond memories of the Wanderwell (that name makes me think of a Winnebago, lol). It's a good early-game to mid-game ship and got me through some earlier quests (fetch for either artifact/power) that required 28LY of travel with Sarah as crew bumping up the distance. I'm on a new game now with the new update and will probably use the Wanderwell again soon.
Very nice design. I couldn't see exactly what was going on with the lower tail Deimos Wing A's, but I can figure it out. Thanks for the show and the inspirations. S
Thank you! The tail was the "drop down glitch" attach to extra part higher to where you want it, then do a copy and the game will snap down and into the part below (most of the time).
As an FYI, the best class B shield - purely based on total health - is the 28T Defender with 1500. However, they require Starship Design rank 4 and character level 24, plus are the heaviest at 90 mass. The main advantage of the Vanguard shields is the low level requirement and that you only need to complete the 2nd quest in that faction to get access to them. There are others in the B class that have better power-to-health ratio. And the Vanguard is the lowest regen rate (6%) vs all other B class (7%).
Thanks for the correction! When building I forgot about the 28T. Going to have to slap one on and see how much it drops mobility. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I built one from scratch. Couldn’t get one through the landing bay glitch issue. I’ve got 3 sitting on moons for weeks right now. Can’t access them 🤬🤬🤬
on the A: Kitchen Front Left, Table Front Right, Crates Back Left, Shower Back Right. on the B: Kitchen Front Right, Table Front Left, Shower Back Left, Table Back Right. The variation gives you options for placing habs next to each other, because the connection will delete one of the features. By switching between variants you should be able to get the items you want.
Only way to get all ship parts in one spot is via a mod. Unfortunately without mods we have to travel around to get the vendor specific parts. Little bit of a pain for sure.
Yeah, the price of ship building is a bit high and painful right after you NG. And if it's the main thing you do, it will drain the bank very quickly. I get my ship money from doing the One Riot missions at the Rock and the Vae Victus missions in Subsection 7 of MAST (however that does require that you spared him during the UC quest line)
I agree that the Kepler S is a better ship. While it does not have 'the kitchen sink like the R it just looks better and is easier to modify to your liking.
Is there any individual component that makes the ship identified as the Razorleaf, or could you literally delete all the component pieces, build a new ship from scratch, and still have the game/NPCs identify it as the Razorleaf? I really like some of the attacking ships reaction when they identify it as the Razorleaf and don't want to lose that in my mods.
It is only the ship slot itself. You can delete all the parts and build a completely new ship and still get the unique encounters of the Razorleaf. Only way you loose it is if you sell the ship.
Nice build. However, for me, I'd swap the workshop with the control room so that it's just behind the cockpit. Also, add a couple of auto cannons... makes life easier in battles.
Thank you! Always comes down to preference for sure. I find myself needing the workshop while on ground at outposts, so quickest for me to just hit it when I enter the ship. I tried auto cannons, but did not like running out of a charge. I know it comes down to proper gun use, but for me the lazy "press and hold" method works best lol.
Thank you Wayne. I generally don't use the Capt's HAB, on my small and medium builds. I have had things "disappear" that I placed on the HAB containers and Armory boards, so until they patch it, I dont use them.
Thanks! Really tough to avoid ladders on the multi-floor ships without using the Cabot bridge. There was plenty of space in that ship allowing for staggered HAB placement to keep the ladders to a one floor climb.
Well, we just have to work with what we have been given. Hopefully they will release a lot more pieces the give a better connected end appearance. Thanks for the comment.
Wouldn't it be better to have rooms instead of all these support parts on the bottom of the ship ? Could have been used to have useful stuff not necessarily rooms but well that can help for the crew capacity, have a bed and all the crafting stations in the ship (even tho I see yo ualrrady have most of it)
Thanks for watching and commenting. I could have put other HABs in, but to keep mobility as high as I could I put in the lower mass fillers. I generally only use "functional" HABs. Science Lab, Workshop, All in One for the beds, and the Crew Stations to increase crew size. The large engineering bay, mess hall, cargo hall are decorative and I would never be in them - so I dont include them.
@@R3PER true too many rooms could just be a waste of weight even tho I like the idea of having a proper ship interrior it depends of what kinda of ship you want, more role play or more functionnal Liked that build it was cool
Agreed. I am glad they have all the different HABs to fit most everyone's play style. I intend to do some larger builds once I get a little more cash. Just jumped Unity, so kinda poor at the moment lol.@@Lew98765
I've built ships similarly shaped to this . But one thing I always keep in mind when building a ship . Is the fact that I absolutely hate the ladders in this game . Hopefully someone makes a mod that allows you to put stairs in your ship sooner than later .
It is tough to avoid the ladders without using the Cabot bridge, and I really don't want all my ships with that monster on the front lol. HABs with stairs would be a welcomed addition for sure.
Found your channel the other day. Enjoying the ship builds, and I appreciate the concise build breakdowns, and they're cool inspiration for my own playthrough. Thanks, and keep up the good work.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting. Wish there was larger selection of parts, but we can certainly do a lot with what we have. Best of luck and enjoyment on your builds.
@@R3PER I figure the modding scene will really kick off next year when the toolkit is released, and then there's always the upcoming expansions. Can't imagine there won't be more parts available in the future. For now, just have to be clever / creative with the current items, but you can still make some pretty cool stuff. It's a surprisingly fun aspect of the game for myself and all of us still spending time in the starfield. Take her was.
I have said this like you have that the glitches are from the developers themselves and are workarounds left in for us to use. I think at some soon to be later time we will get more ships and parts with the DLC and creation Kit, so the glitches will be needed less and less but I think they are a part of the system itself.
It is exactly that. Made sure mentioned that I used the dragonfire. I just preferred a few different trim pieces and tried to blend the two designs. Thanks for watching and commenting!
The key to it is dropping the piece in unattached first then after its dropped then pick up and do the snap, flip, flip back, then cancel. if that makes sense. I had trouble at first because I just grabbed the piece and tried to attach it without dropping it first.
